I can't imagine the amount of dynamics put into this awesome robot ! simply amazing
Familiarize yourself with Absurdism. You are a perfect example of the human desire to find meaning in life, and the impossibility to find any.
Nice job Kodlab!!! Engineering like that makes Batman's 'Tumbler' look possible. I cant't wait to see more.
Awesome work!
How does this make the world a better place for everybody?
Good use of a safety harness at the end!
I do believe, you could articulate the RHex to stand and make it walk? If not at the very least a short sprint into a jump.
Well I'm replacing my 4x4's wheels with those things.so I can drive up walls and jump traffic.
Cool a robot that can shelve itself away. Once it belly flops can it pull itself all the way up and keep going?
I think this thing is awesome... plain and simple...
Is that thing remote controlled or what?
How does it like fly
I can. I did. If we had use for landing in a leafy tree, we would develop something to that effect. Also, VTOL vehicles. Nearly as well? Well really, that's why we adapt the evironment to our needs. A horse can travel better at rough terrain, but pit it against a car in a road, well, you can imagine. Eveything has context. I do not say we have outdone all of nature, but we sure hell of a lot more advanced that you give credit for. Human race is amazing and you can't deny it.
This is very cool, indeed! I just wish they were shots at normal speed, as well, to see how fast that little robot actually does its stuff.
Ive never seen a Parkour Robot before.
Therees two RHex the boston dynamics RHex and this parkour robot
This movie needs an 'eye of the tiger' soundtrack
We have mechanical frog now?
i just love vsauce for this kind of stuff
What is your problem?
Back in time, imho view Quake3 defrag
I just love engineering...
Our machines have(and some already exceed) the potential to walk, jump swin and fly better than any bird or even highly specialized lifeforms. We are being able to replicate the motion aspect of life in the short lifespan our species has lived here, whereas animals evolve during millions of years.
very clever
Asombroso !
reminds me of my fat rat terrier trying to jump onto my bed lol
What material are the legs made of?
Rubber composite high density plastic.
Jumping on slowmo?
they grow up so fast...
Oh god, in the time this video finished, my iphone just started to assemble itselft, growing legs and jumped away.
at first i thought it was hovering, then i saw it was slow motion XD
Santa, Can I have this? I was a good boy this year!
Teach it how to use knives. A new assassin is born!
This lil shit is more talented than I am.
Yes, for example: an appendix prone to infection and inflation, or a respiratory and digestive system forced to share the same plumbing. Really seems like the product of careful design over a 7 day period...
He's got the best advice? You ever read the book you speak of?
Atonement for an unsolved murder in deuteronomy states that if you find the corpse of a murder victim, just take a heifer to a fertile river and break its neck with your towns elders. Then wash your hands over it and deny it.
...? make them smaller and able to interconnect to find survivors inside collapsed buildings
I don't know.
Sky net is here...
Haha awesome
👍👏👏👏
after rocket jump!
Why is my alarm clock chasing me!?!?
Parkour robot... Nice!
ticks: WTF!
CONTRA 3
that just was a lot of words I have never heard before, but from what I got from it, did you just call me ignorant and evil? I just said "o_0 wut?" because, well, that was actually less of a surprised face and more of a confused face. I hadn't heard anything that would cause your statement to make sense, and thus, my utter confusion and lack of understanding.
dude hes just really into robots let a guy be
this shit is hottttttt LOVEEE ITTTTT BEST SHIT EVERRRR !!!!!!! 100++++
Melo regali
What the hell is this
§
Teach it to rocketjump
Super mario !!!
I never got worried machines will kill me. But I've watched many new cool bots now, and it's the commentating people I fear.
*A jumping robot* "OMG imagine how that can kill for the gouvernment!!"
*A face detector* "OMG thats gonna get us killed!!"
Just dont hand technology to ordinary people and we'll be good =)
I guess you have no counterargument. Moving on.
Chill, he's just trolling =)
Будильник,утром пока не поймаешь будет прыгать.
I dont know dudes, but Im worried about this...
...And to continue my last reply, I'm sorry but if we potentially can do something, we are very likely to do it. We had the potential to develop an assload of things and well.. we did. Sure we might not develop a car that feeds on the blood of little children, but I'm pretty damn sure we will make better machines to fullfill all of those tasks you name and many more.
this will develop in time to become killing machines
Terminator cockroaches jumping in your face o_O; ...teh horror!
It's kind of a pointless conversation no matter how we look at it. I was only taking exception to the idea that humans have already outdone nature in AI and robotics.
Dude! Teh F sounds! ARGH!
gj
Crafty jews
Are jews not crafty?
NASA's newer rovers will build on this experience and set up self sustaining robot colony observatories on other planets which will one day save your sorry ass by spotting a meteor just in time to destroy it and save earth.
My life is a lie
Actually you are not demonstrating that "better" is subjective, you are demonstrating that it depends on what criteria we use.
Anyway you are being argumentative for argument's sake, and missing the point of this conversation, which was whether humans have outdone evolution. Our computers are not yet fast enough or small enough, and our material sciences are not yet advanced enough, to match nature for doing what it is intended to do.
"Better" is entirely subjective. If you are looking for profit margins a 747 is hard to beat. If you are looking for air superiority an F22 is hard to beat. If you are look for minimal fuel consumption a solar ultralight is hard to beat. If you are looking for automous and self reproducing and shitting on freshly washed cars a pigeon is hard to beat. If you are looking for...
o_0 wut?
You absolutely cannot say that we can fly better than birds. That's absurd. We can fly FASTER, sure, and it takes us 30 minutes and a mile-long runway to land. Compare that to a bird that can land on a branch in the middle of a leafy tree.
No vehicle we have can travel nearly as well as a horse or a rat or a cockroach or fly. We have the potential to, obviously, but you can't say we're there now.
well not to get into creationist BS and stuff like that but given that god supposedly is omnipotent and omniscient and created the universe and all the laws of physics and whatnot he's creations are surprisingly far from ideal
Absurd.
なんか気持ち悪いwww
Way to ruin a pigeon poop joke :(
Not to sound disingenuous but tetragrammaton or jahweh and the likes can cast off the cliff of cataclysmic catastrophe for all I don't care. This assertion is not fallacious or do you disagree? Dont be pedantic my friend, transcend these doctrines, divide your ego, add equanimity, subtract the everlong callous piety and these detrimental conceivements. All sprouting from that one source, the germ of evil. D'evil.
