Hello Dries! Well! That was full of magic, wasn’t it! Thank you for all that info! I will now share with you, the frustrations of my day….. 1) my husband of 43 years ‘borrowed’ my little saw from my art studio - so I almost ground to a halt! 2) I finally found my pots of gesso - & the lids were stuck - I couldn’t twist them off, which means I’ve got to ask my beloved to help me! 3) I discovered that my work benches were no longer level so I had to clear them off & try & stuff folded card under the relevant legs. All this could be received as a Devine message from the gods to go & knit squares instead! Since I have a defiance oppositional disorder I won’t be knitting little squares because my purpose in life is to enable myself to be joyous in all activities & I love creating jolly little pieces of art - full of happy colours & movement. I’m learning fluid art - paint pouring - totally abstract & my favourite of all the styles is Dutch Pour; my niche! There are lots of artists on you tube demonstrating this, Rinske Douna from Netherlands, Kanella Ciracco from Canada, Fiona from Slovenia - all much better than me, but inspirational in their love for their art. As a retired old woman, all I want is to continue to be happy & make messes in my art room! Should someone get really excited & want to buy something I’ve made, or ask me to make something for them, I will happily do my best; pricing based on your earlier guidance! Now, I’ve got to ask - tell me about your painting on your easel behind you. Looks like a McDonalds cheeseburger with no cheese or salad, drowning in blue waters - I love it! Bless you, honey! I'll hope to make some videos about my art in the future. In the meantime there is some explanation on Instagram of this particular piece if I'm not mistaken.
About your day, sounds like a standard day in the office, full of problems that need to be solved, thats how it goes.

Hey Dries, just found your channel and loving it so far! Can you do a video on how to get your work into Museums or get featured in art magazines? Social media is great since it gives artists the tools to market no matter where we are in our careers, but I've often wondered about more traditional routes. Thanks :)
That's a great question indeed. I have some videos on that topic actually. I think I have a very old video where I explain how to get featured into magazines and I cover one way to go into the museum thing very briefly in a recent one about art competitions that will be published tomorrow. Have you tried 'daily ideas' from VidIq... I'm now testing it out and it seems to be doing pretty well so far... it's an AI that generates topics in line with your channel that have high viewership predictions... you might want to take a look at it.
@@driesketels 😳😅 no I haven't tried that. I don't think I'm that invested that I want an idea generator....I guess it works well with people that use prompts to facilitate ideas...and merges that with whatever is "hot" right now....

Hey great video question. What content should an artist create for CZcams to sale there art , speed paintings, vlogs or tutorials? Asking because YT is a search engine most people go to YT for how to videos but how would that convert in to sales?
Good question... what about all three. Why don't you test out several types and see what the market responds best too?
This is an excellent video! I want to sell my art online. This sort of advice is hard to find. What I want to know is what sort of content to make it bring in buyers and not people just wanting to learn how to make art. Could you make a video about that?
