I worked in a restaurant during my EQ years. I would work to pay bills then come home and play everquest. Often barely getting enough sleep before going in for my shift which wasn't usually until 10 or 11am. Which gave me enough time to be on super late and into AM hours. I would log in and be absolutely immersed. Maybe running from Kelethin to Mistmoore, or whatever my groups or guilds were into at the level I was at. My first character was a dark elf so I grew up in Neriak, Nektulos and then the EC/WC areas. But I played a bunch of characters and spent so much time in and around Kelethin, like anyone who played the game often. This piano music brings back all these memories. Thank you @Paul Hertenstein!

As a wood elf, this reminds me of much of home, making arrows next to the vendors up in the treetops, doing the Maesyn Trueshot quests, daring to venture into Crushbone!

@sabbracadabra The internet in general. Toxic things like twitch, social media, game population saturation (having so many servers and people that your choices dont have consequences). MMOs are available to everyone now and very popular, before it was more of a niche with many like minded people.
I remember ALWAYS starting out as a Wood Elf because you could travel back and forth to the guilds/merchants without taking 20 minutes to load a new zone on shitty dial-up.
The best game in the world, by far...but the most dangerous as well...I will never forget all that nights, that dream and various feelings...It is such more than a game.

Edit: I am a 30 year old man with a 2 month son of my own and I can only hope that he finds music that can take him back to the memories he had with his parents just like this masterpiece.
