There’s an interesting book called Kahless. It has a Klingon scribe found an ancient text purportedly written by Kahless himself after his disappearance. In it he chronicles the real events that became enshrined in myth. He was a loyal lieutenant of the tyrant Molor until he was forced to kill Molor’s son in a duel, forcing him to go on a run along with a number of loyal men, including Morath who became his best friend and who kept trying to teach Kahless to be an honorable man. Kahless met Lukara in a village and fell for her. But he was forced to leave her behind. Unfortunately, Molor’s troops would find the village and raze it, killing everyone, including Lukara. Eventually, Kahless raised an army and led it against Molor. In the palace, he found a once powerful man weak from disease. He felt pity and let his guard down. Molor threw a dagger at him. Morath jumped in front and took the blade in his chest. Kahless decapitated the tyrant and held his friend as he died. Eventually, he grew bored with ruling and left. Before leaving, he pointed at a random star in the sky and told them to look for him there. Here’s the twist: the blood on the dagger used to create the clone isn’t Kahless’s. It’s Morath’s!

Don't be absurd: there is no Robert April. You cannot command without a K (or hard C) sound in your name: it's usually also required to be second or third in command. Pike, Christine "Number One" Chapel, Kirk, Spock, Scotty, Decker, Chekhov, Hikaru Sulu, Kathryn Janeway, Chakote, Tuvok, Sisko, Kira, Dax, Jonathan Beckett Archer (who, with his K in his middle name and no K in his first officer's name, wound up getting the series canceled), Jean-Luc Picard (the best captain, obviously, thanks in no small part to a hard C in both his first and last names), Riker, Carol Freeman and her daughter Beckett (shout out to Archer) Mariner. Even Michael Burnham.
