Pros
- Portable folding drone with carrying case for drone and its accessories.
- Includes a lighted display case that also serves as its controller/transmitter.
- Weighs only 76 grams with battery. Does not require registration in most countries.
- Includes an optical flow system to help mitigate the drone from wandering in hover.
- 3.7V 1800 mah battery provides up to 20 minutes flight time per charge (I got 6 1/2 minutes indoors at low rate).
- Advanced flight modes include optical flow, altitude hold, headless mode, flips, and flight path (via app only).
- Camera can take and record interpolated (electronically enlarged) 2048 x 1080p @ 20fps video, and interpolated 8K still photos (video frame grabs) directly to your phone via WiFi. Camera also includes remote up down lens tilt control via the remote controller.
- Uses the "KY UFO" app available on Google Play here bit.ly/KY-UFO and the Apple App Store here bit.ly/3JpgU74. App uses common 2.4 Ghz WiFi, which is available on most phones.
Cons
- Brushed motor drone. Its motors will eventually fail with time.
- Optical flow system can drift after takeoff or after maneuvering flight. But it will eventually recover to hover the drone if the pilot first manually controls it to hover.
- The camera is not very good, and is not 8K as advertised (quality appears to be around 720p or less). Again, this is mainly meant as a beginner's learn to fly drone.
- Battery appears physically much smaller than expected for an 1800 mah battery, and only provided 6 1/2 minutes flight time at low rate flying (vice advertised 20 minutes).

It’s clear OPTICAL FLOW does not work. ALTITUDE HOLD is not very good either (floats up and down).. Flight time is closer to 6 minutes (not 20 minutes as stated in the specs). I got one and I find I find after flying it around for a minute the gyro goes wonky and it ends up crashing. I think it’s a DUD. Not worth buying.
It looks like a blast! I picked one up to fly inside when I cant fly my Mini 4 pro.
Edit: It's arriving today after only 16 days shipped from China. Much faster than I expected.
Wow! We finally get a truthful review of this drone. CAPTAIN DRONE made the H111 look like a $1000 DJI in his overly edited slick sales video.
cool review sir.
Thanks for the shout out bro! Always enjoy your videos. God bless!
Cool Case it Comes in...
It’s truly a handsome little beginner’s drone. I’ve always found my optical flow drones to do better outside than inside especially with the downdraft from the rotors pushing back on the drone. Wonder if this may be better outside for that function. I really love the controller and display case, that’s super cool. Awesome video Sir! Love that shirt😂
I not sure that the optical flow would have worked well in the snow. Maybe over the grass though.
@@Quadcopter101 I’m in the same boat or should I say; sleigh 🛷😂
Nice to see that JJRC is still in business. They made some good drones back in the day. This is not one of their better efforts I'd have to say (IMHO). The headless mode & optical flow are virtually useless, as is altitude hold. Disappointing that they chose to use brushed motors, which will need to be replaced, likely sooner than later. Proprietary batteries are a gimick for manufacturers to get more $$$ from the user. 1800 mah? Remember the batteries used in the Syma X8C or Tarantula ?? those were 1800-2000 mah batteries. They were about 3 times the size of that battery you had. For anyone in the U.S., since this is being sold by Banggood, I think you'd be better off getting something similar via Amazon or another U.S. dealer ... dealing with CHINA is just a mind numbingly painful experience (IMHO). For your pepper plants, you should construct an outdoor hot house to keep the gnats out of the house .. they get into everything. As I live almost right on Lake Erie, I missed that snow you got, which pleased me no end. I still have some toy grade quads (X5C-1, X11, Mould King Super S, etc.) to fly indoors, along with a few nano racers (brushless). Better weather is coming next week when Spring begins. Cheers.
QC 101 You should make a Snow Angel video after your review. 🤣☃️ Ps. I'm not first! 😎
thumbs up!
Can i use soms google whit this drone? Thank You.
It is better or bad? Plz tell me
Seriously, the DJI Tello still seems to be the perfect beginner drone, for 50 bucks everywhere, the stabilization is awesome, and with the apps develloped for that drone (like Tellopilot), "active track" is avaliable too, well, not ad good as a real active track can do, but still, a really good beginner drone, even today !
The last I checked, the Tello is $100. The video frame rate is horrible, and the lack of being able to use an actual controller is disappointing.
The tello is also discontinued it would seem. DJI doesn't even sell it on their website anymore, so support and improvements are probably long gone.
I wish they would make these little cheap beginner drones with the option of turning off altitude hold that way a beginner can learn what's it's like to fly in "acro" mode and learn how to flip and roll themselves I mean the drones already do it with a push of a button and stick input so why not give the option to do your own tricks yourself....I'm sure a beginner would rather break one of these cheap drones learning than an expensive one lol great review 👍🏼
I learned to fly with a JJRC H36 tiny whoop. I don't think this H111 is as crash resistant.
First!!
Let's just call it a tie
