Wake up: Russia is Already at War with us

  • Gen. Ben Hodges argues that those who fear "escalation" with Russia, if Putin were to be challenged by the West, are dead wrong. Rather by parading weakness and indecision, the US is provoking Putin to launch further aggression against Ukraine and eventually against America and its allies. If Russia were to triumph in Ukraine, the results would be horrific for not only Ukraine, but all of its allies. The winners, in the scenario of a Russian victory, would be China, Iran, and North Korea. It is critical that the West wakes-up to the danger-at-hand and takes immediate action to assist Ukraine in liberating its territory to their internationally-recognized 1991 borders.
The West's collective inaction, emboldening Putin and his dictator-allies, is putting the security of America and Europe in peril. A Russian victory would carry an unimaginable and incalculable cost to not only our wealth, but eventually the lives of our citizens. For those interested in a peaceful resolution of the war in Ukraine, that would guarantee a peace in the greater West, the best thing that can be done, right now, is to arm Ukraine to the fullest to show that we will not tolerate rogue dictators' aggression.
Gen. Hodges explicitly condemns the Republicans in Congress who are blocking aid for Ukraine and gives his views on the Trump Administration. However, in this interview, Hodges gives new insight into the challenges he himself faced in working with senior national security officials in the Obama Administration - many of whom are now occupying lofty positions in the Biden Administration. It was precisely these officials, with their perennial fear of "escalating" the situation with Russia, that led other decision-makers to erroneously believe that backing Ukraine would "provoke" a nuclear war.
General Ben Hodges, who commanded the US Army in Europe from 2014 until 2017, says that Western policymakers need to open their eyes to a hard truth: Russia is already at war with us.

I totally disagree with Ben Hodges. I ask him if he has read the book "On Thermonuclear War" by Herman Kahn? Why didn't we show strength against the Soviets during their 56 takeover of Hungry or their 68 takeover of Czech? The vast majority of those who rise in the US are nothing more than sycophants in my opinion and don't understand the realities of war. You really have to talk to someone like Professor John Mearsheimer in order to understand military philosophy and geopolitics in this situation. Professor Mearsheimer has devoted his life to understanding military philosophy and geopolitics, he hasn't devoted it to currying political favor.

Gen. Hodges' comments on Susan Rice are revealing. I had some brief interactions with her in Washington and found her to be highly ambitious and unpleasant to deal with. Rude and abrasive toward anyone she saw as beneath her rank; she burned a lot of bridges behind her and I was not surprised she never got to be Secretary of State, a job she lusted after in the most obvious way. Gen. Hodges' perceptions about her and the situation in the Ukraine are spot-on right.

      He is, ahahah.
The public broadcasts are not designed for the delivery of the military strategic plans.
Though, the majority of viewers expect the delivery of Gen. Ben Hodges "U.S. will make step 1, than step 2, etc. And the French Macron must not say "Nato is brain dead".
I did not understand the meaning of that speach of president Macron also. Most probably, president Macron was angry on his one political ally due to the impossibility of the military advisers of president Macron to find the solution in the "ancient" African country, where French military were comfortable untill summer 2023.
"Ukraine is our best place for our military investment", according to senator Leslie Graham (R-SC).
The Biden administraion did not find the better opposite oppinion.
The problem is in the diffrent undesrtandings of the political approch in US.
The explanations of Leslie Graham for the Pentagon represent one word only - the replacement.
The explantions for the American voters might be given by president Bident.
But president Biden plays with dalls for the american voters, according to the Fox news TV channel
So, American voters do not undesrtand, why American senators send the arms and ammunition of the Pentagon - to Ukraine completely.
Leslie Graham is highly educated person, but he expect the same level of undesranding from the American voters.
Senator Leslie Graham might shot the world map every Sunday for the American voters:-
this is Ukraine at the map in year 2014,
this was Russia at the Russian world map till February 19, 2014,
this is the Russian map of Russian Fedration in the April 2024,
and this is the Nato countries at the world map in April 2024.
and this is our amdassdor to UN.
The other misundesrtanding of the nessecity of the military assitance for Ukarine is inside Nato.
The world loved to look at the Nato exersises when the number of the oint forced exeeded 40000 in 2017 (?).
40000 is a hude number for the military exersised joint forces of diffrent level of training , General Hodges knows beter than anyone else today.
But the constant policy of Nato is a bi-annual "exchange" of the military forces inside Nato ranging from 170 till 2500 officers in one country. This Nato policy is behind public eyes.
Till the March fall of the politics of Isreal against the Hamas, the Biden administration could refer to the military assitance to Israel for the advocating the assitanse for Ukraine in the American TV.
But current Israeli Cabinet did not take correct steps for the own minister of defence, for the own director of Mosshad.
As a result of the speculative rethorics of the prime minister , the Isreali voters belive the director of Moisshad is an idiot, the minister of defence is child in the world military sciense.
The mlitary mishap with the Isreali hostages, with American, Briish, Austrlian hostages in the Gaza strip led to the agressive demands of Isrealies to make a practical steps by the Isreali Cabinet.
Natanyahu managed to verbally attack the Britishers, than American jewish due to own economical planning of the declared war against Hamas.
Of course, American Jewish, German Jewish and British Jewish do not undesrtand the own president in Isreal amid the number of the deaths from both sides.
The Arab world look at Isreali current cabinet as on the team of armed gang wich do not want to fulfill the casual promisses in the human rights area from October 8, 2023.
So, Amercan Senators can not justify the military assistance to the unpredicted Natnyahu, who uses IDF in own economical interests.
IDF conduct milirary operations daily . But IDF is unable to report on bealf of the prime mister, which stage they are at in the undefined efforts to defeat the dangerous Hamas organizaton in just 70 km from the border.
Now Biden can not refer to Isreal as the most wanted and reliable frind in the Estern Medeterian.
The light hope for Israelies, in March the Moshad found that Iranians are behind the Hamas.
The Isreali Cabinet discussed seriously, the Qatari TV channel that hold 20 journalis in Isreal, is danger to the natinal security.
Of course, the Isreali voters, American Jewish, German Jewish need to find the domestic solution in the interets of Jewish and the neibghors irrespective of the IDF faults from October 8.

If I were a cynic, I might remark America will never be taken from without (from within... that's a different story, though), whether parts of Europe fall under the rule of RuZZia or not (especially in the East...) However, I think nations have (collective) "souls" too: if America allows itself to be bullied out of Europe and thus internationally humiliated by Putin, as it apparently has accepted to be for now, then I'm afraid its psyche will eventually become depressed to a level not seen since the worst days of the Vietnam era. All US veterans should speak up, loud and clear. Their collective sacrifice for the cause of freedom, civilization and peace shall not be invalidated by RuZZian propaganda, Trump-ism and global indifference. How can a democracy have such a fatal flaw that allows the Speaker to have unaccountable veto over the (likely) majority will of the nation. And the other politicians too concerned about their careers to do the right thing by signing a discharge petition. Frankly, the President should have the ability to unblock a bill for a vote.

General Hodges insights are actually not just crystal clear, logically coherent and a voice of reason, but as such pretty simple and straight forward. And that’s the unfortunate side of this whole debate: while the problem at hand isn’t complex whatsoever, but rather clearly definable, we in the West treat it as the exact opposite and are mapping it with unnecessary complexity and fuzzy solutions. Simple and straightforward doesn’t mean it’s easy, it just means there are a defined set of solutions which can and should be applied. But instead we are doing almost anything else. And General Hodges reminds us in a broken record type of way, that this doesn’t need to be the case. I am sure, it’s a very frustrating exercise for General Hodges.

Again, I 100% agree. It's like I'm hearing myself speak. It's as obvious as can be that a very, very clear message needs to be conveyed to Russia that they have crossed an essential line and that they have no business in Ukraine at all. It is simply not their country and any disputes within that country need to be addressed by them, not the Russians. The Donbass used to be a wealthy area, which is why they wanted more self rule. Now it's all dereliction without any future, because Russia doesn't really need it. They have more than enough of those resources from other area's.

The only thing that has kept Russia inside Ukraine is their masterful manipulation of the information space (maskerovka). Until we learn to interrupt/nullify this, the US is going to continue the same course, unfortunately. While General Hodges can logically show how this reality is playing out, it cannot undo decades of mindless 8 second blips, tweets, replies, etc. Our military/government needs to find a way to sway people's opinions! It's not clear whether it was he or a Boer who asked a British officer who was directing the collection of the British dead whether the waste was worth it and when it would stop. The British officer replied "You understand that for us, it is always like this". The point being that, maintenance of an empire or extensive overseas interests (one might say "Making America Great"), requires the continuous commitment of resources, including lives. If the USA really does not want to play that part (which has seen unrivalled prosperity at home and, by and large, generally good security worldwide), it should say so unequivocally. If it did, the next 100 years would not be pretty.
