Russia talks like some sort of super-power because it is a super-power. This is the problem - you somehow became convinced that it isn't, which is why the collective West planned to use the Ukraine to justify sanctions, which have not worked. Russia now overcame Germany in PPP and one of the few European countries, that went through economic growth despite now being the most sanctioned country in the world. It now effectively defeated Ukraine, despite 40+ countries supporting and helping it unilaterally. That what a super-power does. It has nothing to do with nukes, although Russia does have hypersonic weapons, which even US still cannot figure out. It also now effectively possess the strongest military in the world as well. Us cannot match that due to completely absurd inefficiencies of private military production and outdated means of force projection, which would not hold for a month. And secondly, why has not a soul got Borris on the phone or into the studio and demanded to know his role in the peace agreement made in Turkey and why it was torn up when it was in Ukraines favour at the time ? With actions like this, it makes it appear as if european governments are dead set on war with Russia and not a peace in Ukraine. Even Biden has not spoken to Putin for 2 years....2 years!!!!!!! According to the Heritage Foundation, the total U.S. spending on aid to Ukraine amounts to $113 billion, which translates to approximately $900 per American household.
However, it’s essential to note that this estimate considers the entire aid package, including both military and non-military components.
$900 over the 3 years, meaning $300 per household a year (not individuals). so that's $25 dollars a month. the average household in the US has 2.5 people as of 2023. so you cant pay $10 a month to save lives... smh. all for an aid package that's spent at home developing defences for your own country enabling you to send old end of life shells made in the 90's. Of course if these don't get sent they still cost money to dispose of but giving them away now for others to use on your enemy is much better than your own people having to use them later down the line.

When the war started, Ukraine had a 7 to 1 troop advantage against Russia. That is roughly 700,000 Ukrainian troops to less roughly 90,000 Russian troops.
It is estimated that over 500,000 Ukrainians have been killed or badly injured. Now Russia has a 3 to 1 advantage in troops after their mobilization.
At the early stage of the war Ukraine was firing indiscriminately dwindling down their supplies.
The Western military commanders should have known that Ukraine was no match for the Russians, a military Superpower. The bottom line was that Russia was underestimated. And to blame the hysteria on the Press is unacceptable. Why didn't their commanders correct the narrative?
The Ukrainian military was trained by the West from 2014 to 2024 when the war began and the Russians are decimating them. I call the Western alliance a wasted military alliance or WMA.

Shirreff makes a number of good points, but you should remember that he is an ex-General and too pessimistic. The present Ukrainian military and political leadership is quite capable of innovative thinking and the NATO senior staff are united in their approach to prepare for a wider war in Europe. Czechia has found 1.5 million artillery shells which are already on their way. 70 or more F-16 aircraft are on the way. Ukraine has now lowered its mobilisation age from 27 to 25 which will enable it to expand its Brigades. Sherriff says that if he was in charge he would hunker down and build defensive lines. That is exactly what Ukraine IS doing. Russia has just had to ask Kazakstan to supply it with HUGE volumes of gasoline, due to the Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian oil refineries. Numerous Russian air bases and armaments factories have been set alight by drone and partisan/special forces attacks. These attacks will result in a reduction in the Russian front line air defence capabilities so that the oil refineries can be protected. Sweden has provided fast attack patrol boats to Ukraine. And Ukraine is now exporting more grain through the Black Sea corridor than before the war started. Dissatisfaction is starting to raise its head in Russia. Prighozin is dead and the Wagner Group activities curtailed in Ukraine. Numerous European countries are training Ukrainian soldiers, marines and airmen. Sweden and Finland have joined NATO. Many more European nations have increased their NATO contributions to 2% and making long term plans for support. So let's be POSITIVE for Ukraine's and NATO's Victory over Russia. If they're talking about it, it's because it's either non-sensitive information, or it's stuff the other side knows about already. No one is going on the news and talking about anything classified without being in cuffs on the way off the set

@@yomama629 Thanks for commenting. I understand what you are saying but I believe things are not that simple. Many times Zelensky and the his military command asked for people (journalists and officers) to stay silent. Journalists are a "plague" that feeds on such "bombastic" news. Many times journalists press military officers and those officers (maybe because they also wish for their moment of glory) spill the bean on sensitive matters and then, of course, it all becomes public domain. Who gains from it? The parasitic journalists, the officer (for two cents of glory) and mostly the enemy.
Just a simple example: If in the battlefield one side notices that the other side is using less shells, It may mean a lot of things. Sure, one of the first assumptions is that there is a lack of shells from the other side, but it is only an assumption and they need to keep planing accordingly but when the "lack of shells" is "megaphoned" by all media around the globe, well then the "assumption" become "a certain" and then the plans may be adjusted accordingly. Do you see where I'm going with this? Anyway, I maintain my point, talking too much only helps the enemy and I wouldn't be surprised if the "media" become the first reason for a large war, taking into account the fakes, the sensationalism and other manipulation operations.

What’s the use of having NATO if after 75 yrs of existence and preparing they’re STILL “not ready” to fulfill the only role they were created to fulfill???

don't blame NATO directly, blame corrupt politicians and isolationist dirt bags for this.

Because the stated goal was not the real goal.
NATO was just a consolidation of American power.

funny how all these countries in Nato aren't willing to take care of a war on their backyard because they have.
