Great video. I live down the road from the shell that used to be the Fiesta Mall. It’s insane to see it so aged when it was closed down in 01/18. The concept that the shopping mall has died is just stop crazy to me 😢

I try to watch as many blue jays games as possible but when manoah is pitching I make sure I’m watching. His debut was during the day in the middle of the week and I watched it on my laptop while in class

I went to high school with Alek and his big brother Erik they were both absolute monsters since way back then. Sick to see him make it to the show and his brother made it into the minors with the Mets for a while but alek was the better of the two even in high school being 2 years younger. his brother never had his prototypical height Aleks a big guy at 6’4/6’5 or weight. His brother was a hard thrower in high school for a guy who topped out 5’10/5’11. Alek and his brother were always super cool guys tho. Glad to see him having so much success with the jays. Im happy for him!

It didn't DROP 70 inches, the drop is the part that deviates from the initial trajectory if it had been a straight line. I threw curveballs that dropped lots in HS, but that's because they were only thrown at 50 mphs :D
Two things about alek. I picked him before the season to win the cy young and all of my good friends that watch baseball and play fantasy with me laughed except 2. Also I picked alek for my fantasy team a little earlier than most thought i should and now I’m the one laughing! 👏🏻🤘🏻😎

Man Rob, I said if Manoah got his delivery consistent and reduces his walks he would be Cy Young Material. Its insane that we are seeing that already. I do see some Kevin Gausman influencing here
He reduced his hit by pitched also his last two starts he only has 1 walk and the pitch that walked the batter was over the plate so should be no walks in 2 starts ....he definitely steped it over another level

Man, no love for Dakota Hudson still! 6 innings, didn't give up a hit until the 6th, and his sinker while not real high-heat, is still nuts! Also had his curve and slider working too

you can see the work Alek Manoah did in the off season his two major issues were hit by pitch and walks his last 2 starts he has one walk and the 4th ball was a strike so should have 2 starts without a walk ...only has 1 hit by pitch this season last year probly would of have 5 by now

Imagine how good todays pitchers would be if they could just start off at bats with fastballs at the batters head and then throw breaking balls that look like they will like all the “legends” of old like Nolan Ryan.
i picked up manoah early last year in my keeper league, and boy did i hit gold. I will have him for a long time since i got him at the minimum salary. at an increase of 35%/yr, ill have him for a good 7-8 years.
