One of the Best Singer/Songwriters I've heard in years. ❤ I'm so glad she addressed the "Hey, Joe" and "Down By the River" cruel romanticism about "Shooting your "baby" Dead! Really!? As a cis old white man, i always wondered why my friends thought those songs were "cool." Thank you, Alynda Segarra.

Nice to see this interview: never heard of Alynda before today. I had recently stumbled on (street performers) "Tuba Skinny Jazz Band" in an indoor 2010 concert. On "You Got To Give Me Some" (1929 Bessie Smith song), the regular vocalist (Erika Lewis) led off, but a "who is she?" banjo player took up the vocal, and I thought she had a great voice. Today, my curiosity led me to search out the song again, and it so happened that somebody had posted the song by itself from that 2010 concert, and had included the performer credits !!! Aha! Alynda Lee Segarra !
I'm so happy to see that she's got a fair bit of video postings, and it's great to learn her story.
She's a great, intelligent, young talent,

For fun I'd love to see a collab with both Riff Raff's just to see what 2 people who are very different from most as people & musically speaking. It would be interesting just to see what they would emerge with after just the two of them locked away in the studio.
