Went here last week for dinner. Kind of a lush Victorian gothic feel. Great food and really nice staff.
Got a nice opium den style hasn't it? :p
@user-tg2qu1jq1b 🤪
I thought in would never open at one stage but The Libertines, yet again, have exceeded my expectations. When I saw Pete running through the place with his lovely but extremely “energetic” huskies, I did fear the worst. Never underestimate this band.
Haha!
I guess the huskies produced the doggie doo Carl kept referring to 😂
Carl..He’s a very charming men
Very gentle and cool
So British
Splendid tour of the Albion Rooms. Carl's a great guide. Love all those details and messages all around it.
Met Carl in Plymouth university when Pete had vanished with Mac Kulkin somewhere in Paris. He is such a lovely interesting creative guy.
Been following Libertines and then babyshambles for 15 or more years so cool I love it congregating Pete on eating all that breakfast omg love your music love all you
Ditto. Went to the infamous Shambles Christmas party at the now gone Astoria. Pete didn’t show but we had a good old riot. I was 16 at the time. Hehe
@@buckbumble sounds super fun.Does covid ruin xmas concerts and parties this year
how can you not be inspired by this band... i know we are
Definitely a place where I would spend some nights. Very beautiful!
I just want tp say one more thing, i have just started listening to The Libertines and I am very impressed by your lyrics and melodies. I actually think you are very clever. All of you and I wish you all the contentment in the world. Thank you. 😊 i will download your music and introduce it to my teenagers.
Can't wait to go, when we're finally out of lockdown
My fav place been loads...christmas gig needed.xxxxx
surprisingly no mumbling, love you carl and the albion is looking great
'Surprisingly' no mumbling? How offensive :D
I think he shared a decent amount of mumbling
Loved Carl's incoherent rockstar mumbling back in the day ...couldn't understand a word ...bit like Keith Richards mumble . 😂😂😂
I really hope people don't start ripping pictures off the walls for souvenirs.
Amazing!! Can't wait to stay... and PLAY. Also - great to see Trampolene in there too!!!
Trampoline> Where?

Good on you guys. I will definitely visit if I am in the area! Xx Best wishes to you all.
I miss you all...libertines rock.
😘😘😘😘😘
I shall stay! Support these guys 😊
Ahhhh I really would love to go there for a night or 2.
Brilliant I want to come 👍🏻👍🏻
Carl’s a cool dude! Him and Pete wrote some great songs and if they’d held it together and didn’t get scared (mainly Pete) they could of been as big as Oasis but suppose it’s cool being a cult band.
Nah, they don't play stadium rock, they would never have been as big as Oasis. They made three albums, they would of made it that big by now if they were going to. Not saying they aren't a fantastic band though.
Dunno about the blonde mop mate but other than that you’re looking healthy and well. Good to see the Albion rooms open for business!
Funny, different tastes 'cos In my opinion (humble) i think it suits him a great deal. Very snazzy!
Fabulous
😊🏴☠️
so I guess Gary's room is the only one that isn't completely depressing !
I assume you mean the Rowntree room. ;) But none of them are depressing. This room (William Blake) looks a bit depressing if you only see the wall behind them, but their view towards the French windows, the balcony and the sea is actually lovely. And Emily Dickinson would make a good room for a wedding night, or a proposal, or a weekend with your other woman.
@@ixlnxs A weekend with your other woman?! :O
I love the black snake skin wallpaper
I wanna stay here
Me and James are gonna audition for Trampoline. It's our destiny to rock out with those boys. Ain't that right James?
I wanna be james Jones 🐯🐯🐯😹😹😹😹😹
@@jamesdavies5266 from now on, you shall be
Would have been cool to have a Keats room and a Byron room.
Well that's all good, but do they have wifi over there
The Emily Dickinson Room!-- does it include a recording of Peter reciting her poetry?
Nice tan
Heaviest breather ever haha
It actually looks like the flat in withnail and I just with better upkeep 😂
Thumbnail looking like John Doe’s apartment from se7en.
Now this is a hotel I could live in ...
Ok watched all of it I’m leaving Plymouth and moving to Margate bringing my oil paints my flute my charcoal the old collection of 5k books
Been loads
Sounds like Woy Hodgson
Yeah Roy if his voice was sped up x2
Feel like it began with Pete wanting it to be a bohemian artist's society-pseudo crack den with a business plan attached, but then "the Covid thing" arrived and the shit hit the fan. Carl stepped in and necessarily commodified it a bit more with botanical brewdog 'Pete's piss' ales and the like.
I wanted to see the room where you can spunk out art sculptures and the computer room for bangin out flash fiction but there aint one. Instead its a very well designed and 'matured' hotel. Just hope it does ok on the wonga side of things cos Margate has historically been a death knell for optimism, although that would be quite in keeping with The Libertines so perhaps its a match made in heaven. From Dreamland to an retirement home for early noughties rock stars where the ghosts of writers and painters from yesteryear happily haunt the corridors.
brill
you can spend the night here as well ????
Wow he looks very different- older - heavier.
Heavier? Aren't we all? Lockdown pounds, innit.
😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
I give it 3 years tops!
Bless him, such a middle class waffler (like Pete.. but in a different way - still waffling shite but a bit more sharper)
Articulate is our Carl
Why is he saying Peters name wrong?
probably because he knows him and that’s probably what he’s always called him
@@underground5220 Hes saying Docherty. Probably just on the wind up
That’s also how Pete Doherty pronounces his name.
@@everythingtechnew7400 Peter said it's pronounced Doh-erty.
Carl looked healthy here. Seems to have all gone to pot again for him.
Fucin Adams family could int there
Imma get wasted there
Man ruined their session :(
Pretty sure they didn’t mind.
urgh i dunno bout this lads.
Bunch of posers.
