Today, Daniel shows you how to make a classic Korean holiday dish called Galbi Jjim! It's a go-to holiday dish for many Koreans. I will teach you how to make an incredible version - one that you're family will be asking for seconds (the next day!). We start by making an addictive marinade sauce and then soak beef short ribs in it for 24 hours. Then we'll add some water to it and reduce it until they get nice and tender. It's simple, delicious and perfect for a warm Holiday meal.

As mentioned in the video, before you add in the veggies - poke the beef and see if the chopstick will go through without much resistance. (It's hard to give an exact timing because everyones cut of beef will be different size.) If the meat still has alot of resistance... add in some more water to the broth and let it boil away for another 15-20 minutes. Then proceed to add-in the veggies and continue as show in the video. (Note: If the sauce reduces too quickly... lower the heat and simply add in a few more swigs of water... trust me, the taste will still be amazing!!)

Just wanted to mention that if you look at 4:33-4:45, there is a hole in the foil. Acidic items eat through foil. You can see that there is some foil on the tip of the bone that was sticking up and touching the foil. You need to make sure that nothing touches the foil or put a piece of parchment paper over the acidic food first, before covering with foil. Hope that helps someone! :)

Love having the inner pot stainless so I can use my immersion blender right in it without worrying about scratching. It makes potatoes great and fast! Still working on the vegetables, first time came out great, second time I did different ones and they were a little too mushy. Just need to adjust the time. I highly recommend this pot!!!
