  • These pork ribs are cooked in a single pan, making it incredibly easy and bursting with the rich flavors of soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. If you're preparing barbecue for one or two people at home, this recipe is sure to be a hit.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Ingredients
600g or 1.3lb baby back rib
    1/2 onion
    2 stalks green onion
    6 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon grated or chopped ginger
    1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    Sauce
    3 tablespoons dark soy sauce
    2 tablespoons light soy sauce
2 tablespoons mirin or cooking wine
    1.5 tablespoons dark brown sugar
    1.5 cups, or 350ml water
    Instructions
    1. Chop the onion and thinly slice a few stalks of green onion. Place the garlic on the wrap, cover it, and pound it.
    2. Insert a paring knife under the ribs, close to the bone, and peel off the thin membrane layer.
Slice the ribs, and immerse them in the cold water to eliminate any bone fragment. Drain the water and pat the ribs dry with a paper towel.
    3. In a small bowl, combine dark soy sauce, mirin, and light soy sauce.
    4. Heat the skillet and heat it over medium heat. Add the vegetable oil and place the ribs into the pan. Cook until the ribs are golden brown on both sides.
    5. Add onion, garlic, and ginger to the pan, and stir fry for two minutes, until the veggies wilt.
    6. Add the prepared sauce over the ribs. Stir fry it for a few minutes and then add dark brown sugar to it. Pour water into the pan. Cook it over medium heat for 25 minutes covering it with a lid.
    6. Remove the lid from the pan. Increase the heat and simmer to reduce the liquid until it thickens and remains approximately 5 to 6 tablespoons of sauce.
    7. Turn off the heat and sprinkle the green onion over the pan.
