@@gumbo34 keep calm man, you are new to the game so you should stick to simpler combos and characters. It takes some time to really get the hang of things

@@magdieldexter Yeah but if you haven't noticed, certain explosions are different. Vegeto's Kamehameha destruction finish have swirls around them, Android 21's air level 3 has a pink color for her explosion. Trunks or Base Vegeta's level 3 have a upward facing blast as a destruction finish. Making Broly's green wouldn't be such a hard task would it?

@@Belowone It may be because DBZ Broly is already SSJ, but I think it is because they didn't want to punish players by giving him a larger hurtbox after he powers up.

I think it's because of the hitbox problem SSJ Broly would have. DBZ Broly is already ridiculously large.

I think the transformation was just too much work. They would have to reanimate everything over again just for his legendary form since its a different model. Thats essentially them making two characters.
Yes cause changing hair color must be so much work right đ€Łđ€Ł they did it for the animation why couldn't they just keep it đ€ŠđŒââïž they did it for frieza why not broly. Cause they lazy aaf
@@thegamingreaper1293 as he said in the video, frieza is a color swap, the model doesn't change. Broly changes size, shape, and appearance in each form. You can't just copy animations and paste them onto a different model, you have to remake them from scratch. Which they could've done if you were willing to wait until next February for him to be released
Frieza may be a color swap but his entire move set gets faster and changes when you form change sounds like a lot more coding then just a color swap. Same thing as a size difference. đ So I don't get why it's "to difficult" but whatever I don't expect anything from this game anymore. Lol

@@thegamingreaper1293 the speed and properties of moves are actually way easier to code than say, changing a hair style, as the moves changing have more to do with tweaking already existing properties in the code and changing visuals in DBFZ means they have to start from scratch as their modeling style relies too much on manually modeling the transformed character.
Think of it as an RPG paper sheet: it's easy to write down when your armour value goes up, but harder to actually draw your old character wearing new armor.
I just recently got the game and you said a bunch of terms I don't understand but the knowledge I'm grateful for.

Also Broly's lvl 1, the charging one, can go through some lvl 3 like Cell's.

Just a tip. you can combo eraser blow into gigantic heave with a micro dash after the 2nd hit, them super dash for combo. if that's too hard, you can vanish late to make the timing easier

I believe they made it so he reverts after the level 3 super for the simple reason that it would cause a lot of confusion if both Brolies were on the same team. You can argue the same for the gokus but they generally have much different clothing in terms of fusions (and their clothing is more iconic than Broly's) and colors in the hairs. For Broly, his main outfit isn't what sticks out, it's his bright green hair and aura, so having two Brolies with glowing green hair could cause nightmarish set ups where the enemy isn't totally sure which Broly they are fighting.
Literally my favourite db character and my favourite character in fighters thanks for the helpful video as my skill level in fighter is between low tear and garbage

I don't mean to be rude globku, But I would like to say that Eraser Blow also has a hit of Armor on it just like standing heavy.

Do any of his other moves have armor? Eraser Blow and 5H do, then he has I-Frames on his Lv 1 Super, but is that it?
@@lazarusnecrosis5869 His EX grab and medium grab both have air invincibility like a down heavy does. The difference is that the EX grab is frame 1 air invulnerable.
Just gonna point out, Broly neutral is really good. His normals reach far, cancelable beam, and great projectiles. His biggest issue is his pressure which will require some conditioning. Also his damage is absurd before the power buff. Able to net solo almost 6k no supers and 53-54% with SKD solo

With the multiple 2ms, if you do 2 then a medium, you get a combo. If you do 3, jump up and you can get a combo that way too
Also another tip, if someone uses their lvl 1 beam attack or level 3, with broly you can do his level 1 super and he can go throu the attacks.
I have mained DBS Broly since I got him and theres no stopping in sight

Someone please help. How do you put brolys armor back on, on the selection screen. Everytime I choose him he has his armor already off when the matches start
DBS Broly is the werry 1st Grapller in the game if you think about it beacause it forces you to block so he can open you up with grabs something that the original DBZ Broly (wich is a lot more focused on zonig and counter zoning)and 16 who's grabs where always a lot slower didnt really used to do. as for the transformation issue here's my take: i think they did it cuz they wanted to make you afraid of Broly, when he snaps and turns into a different form it makes much more of an impact that staying always the same after the 1st time (i mean just look at his intro).
Btw dunno if you mentioned it but Gigantic Fury punts the oppoent in sliding if you have used a smash attack or when grabbing them in hitstun so you can do a combo then Gigantic Quake call assist and then Gigantic Fury and keep the same side unlike with Erazor Blow

I love using dbs Broly in dbfz.
He not only fights like a berserker but he's also pretty edgy in the game unlike the movie.
He only goes super sayin during his supers, so he keeps his black hair most of the time, he can change his clothes color to black, and he's voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch instead of Vic Mignogna in the English.
I would have been ecstatic if they made his beam perform-able in the air but the air version was the mouth beam he does when he first comes out of the water against Vegeta. Other than that I'm extremely pleased with his kit, however imo his jab is way too slow and his light command throw should be faster to match with the other grapplers. It's pretty frustrating to just get mashed on when trying to mix someone up when grab mixes are a character's purpose basically.

do you guys know why everytime broly pulls someone into his chest and blast them into the wall(10:24) and i try to dash it always does an attack where he throws a big blast down? i tried switching it up but it was either he threw the attack or stood still. and just extra info i used R2 to dash. im a noob so idk if there's any other way-
On the subject of Broly not retaining Super Saiyan, I honestly think if they were going to allow him to power up in the first place, like he does during his supers, why isn't he in Super Saiyan to begin with? When he was teased at the beginning of the season we saw him in Super Saiyan without beefing up, so they couldve made his base form Super Saiyan with his shirt on and buffing up after his Level 3. It would've looked better and made more sense lore wise. If there was one Character I would get into modding for the purpose of fixing their in game model, it would be this one.

Broly and android 17 has one of the most unique moveset in the game

well actually if your fighting a enemy and you finish them with a gigantic roar and when the next enemy shows up your can see still in ssj mode
How do you use gigantic impact 3 times? I can only use it once then R1 activates the lvl 2 (Iâm on Ps4)
I feel broly should at least keep his normal ss1 look after lv3. So that there is no size /model change. And instead of just +5% damage boost, he should get more super armor on his moves to compensate on this slow attacks. It should feel like there is constant fear when doing a block stream on him that he might use his super armor to trade blows and reverse the pressure. Whould that change be too OP?
Andy Liu I mean almost no one else gets a buff after lvl 3 so I think more armor would just make it unbalanced

@@lyrvc9636 then maybe just add armor to his grabs and his charge. since his slow and can't breakout a block stream on his own. added armor would help. or make him faster on certain moves by shaving off a few starting frames. So that no extra animation work is needed since it's the same 3d model. Just play around with some armor settings or frames settings.

The makers didnt let him keep his SSJ transformation cause they still wanna sell you the other Broly ( which is already in Super Saiyan mode) Or in another scenario it wouldnt be cool for the people who bought the transformed version

I think they need to refresh the moveset of the basic characters as they look utterly crap compared to the newest DLC ones.

I believe Arcsys didn't make broly keep the super sayian form after the install because he would look too similar to non canon broly in game, it's a shame, but it's the only explanation I can think of

The way the game works they would have to re-rig all his animations to allow for transformations.
