Broly should have a Dramatic Scene if you beat Kakarot with Gigantic Claw and it's the scene when he grabbed him by the hair and the scene cracks like glass. This scene would only happen in Destroyed City.

They could’ve done more with Broly’s cinematic scenes tbh. He should’ve had a Dramatic Opening against Goku where he goes from SSJ to LSSJ.

I think that could work as a level 3 super where after activation,his strength would increase,his specials would gain more armor and would gain additional property's for a limited time
Well it is his victory line sometimes and the animation for it fits REALLY well

You missed one thing. At the end of Brolys auto combo you can actually still do gigantic strike when the opponent bounces up on the ground
1999 this. It's only disadvantage is that the opponent stun time is super short afterwards. But you can fish for a punish after wake-up
@@scrotumus nah, after gigantic strike in that situation just vanish, dash up, and auto combo. The spacing is a bit weird but when it lands the damage is nuts, plus after the 2nd light auto combo finishes out you can throw a beam assist to reset pressure and keep the string going.

A couple of things to add:
His 5M, 2M, 5H, 2H, J.M, all have armor. Dunno about his J.H. I've seen conflicting things on that, haven't tested myself.
The delay on 5H actually increases the range. So unlike Cell, who gets more damage, Broly gets more range. You'd be surprised how often you can catch people with it when you factor in the armor.
Lastly, his ki blast can be directed upwards or downwards, so you may be able to hit some characters at closer ranges where it might be missing.
Jonathan Algarroba I replied to someone else with the same info. Everything except his lights (including the light auto combo) and his 214S have armor. j.H does indeed have it as well. It makes for great setups if you IAD a j.H.
I was also gonna comment to mention the 5H delay increasing the range, but you beat me to it. :-)
what does stuff like 5m and 2h mean
@@givonwhatley2638 L means Light attack M means medium attack and H means heavy attack so 5M means standing medium and 2H means down heavy

One little thing
With Broly’s special attack if you jump & shoot, he will do a short hop, allowing you to shoot again, & you can also jump again, & shoot again, so you essential get 3 jumps.
I think it's worth mention rn that Broly's Level 1 ALSO has two variations. The bumper variant makes time still resume so it might be harder to land, however the attack now has a hit box up close, so use the attack up close and you'll deal extra damage. His trigger variant makes time stop a bit and Broly fires the attack almost immediately. So from afar, you're better off using his trigger variant.

What I found works great for broly is including his ki blasts in the air. It tags on a good amount of damage. I normally include it after I've launched them in the air and hit with a light attack and a medium and then I just go straight into ki blasts to leave them in the air forawhile. It work on the one ground combo I have but it's better for air combos
A good combo most Broly players don't use it after the end of the auto combo grab input a gigantic strike and then out of that you can level 3.
This might be a new patch thing but with the level one, right bumper has the slow startup but the gravity thing where he knocks the enemy up. The trigger keeps time moving and he just throws it, the bumper knocks them up. Sorry for commenting this if it's already been commented, just trying to share what I thing is my knowledge
I really like using the light auto combo then using the back trigger level 3. Does great damage
I think it's possible to do a combo, get to the hard knockdown part, do his Eraser Cannon super (without getting the close connect), and immediately (before Broly even throws his ki ball) DHC into another character with a fast-moving "large ki blast"-type (like Bardock's Riot Javelin or SSJ Vegeta's Big Bang) or "body explosion"-type (like Adult Gohan's Potential Unleashed or Cell's Energy Field) level 1, have that tagged-into super hit first, and then by the time Broly's level 1 finally hits, your tagged-into character should have recovered in time to get an extension after the supers.

That lariat express screams Mature from KOF XIV for me and i love that. Also, Broly got that Piccolo Hellzone Grenade buff

the fact that broly is insane, actually adds character to him in this game because of the lack of extra combo potential.

You can connect the manual super attack in triangle combo probably if your in the corner and it grabs them up before he launches it
Some useful things I found with Broly’s level 1 super so far:
1) If you use it at range (i.e. you haven’t it hot that first tick to keep the enemy in the air), you can DHC another super and both will connect since Broly’s will hit right after. For example, you use Broly’s Lv1 then DHC into Blugeta’s Lv1 - Bluegeta will hit first then Broly’s will hit immediately after.
2) if you want to DHC his level one, you can delay it by a little so that he appears ON the enemy meaning he’ll knock them up with the first part to guarantee a hit.
11:15 this is a solid idea for a mixup, but the reflect can ruin it if you can just reflect the whole thing and punish with a few normals into a combo or a super.
You can still do a lot of damage in the corner with different starters and still follow the same combo path.
On average with 7 bars of super you can deal anywhere between 8.3k - 9.5k. If you have 3 bars you deal average level 3 damage.
The idea of starting the combo with the whiffed 5l and hit with the second one isn't too hard to land. It's a gimick, but people will see it and attempt to press buttons, so you just throw out the second hit and confirm into a combo. It's a nice trick.
The second 5L prorates the least out of all his normals, so more damage. A lot more damage.

6:40 caught me off guard so bad 🤣
Broly actually does more damage on combos for starting with air heavy and the first 2 light hits.
His heavy lariat express can combo from down medium to put them on the wall from anywhere.
He can do his wall combo damage just a few steps from mid stage using ki blasts after eraser blow because it puts them on the wall.
His damage also jumps up on counter hit aka starting with a medium or heavy that armored through.
2 things to consider that you didn't point out. Gigantic strike's light version makes them stand up really quick
For his level 1, the right bumper will connect. Hence why in the medium auto combo it connects, its the right bumper version
Tip: Use the light attack until he brings your opponent to the ground then to the Ariel grab then either carry on with assists or use your special attack
Make sure to do the grab with the heavy button btw
.. would have loved to see a aganos guide (he´s kinda the juggernaughttype like broly) from killer instinct .. allas it´s not anime related at all (and fairly old already) ..

I really, REALLY like his gigantic claw Attack and typically try and use it a finisher, but I keep whiffing because the range is SOOO short.

Lonewulf321 Everything has armor except for his light auto combo, his other lights (2L, etc), and his barrier (214S). I don't think I missed anything else though.
I came here to learn how to deal with him and left without knowing anything about how to do it besides defending and praying not to take a grab

BROLY IS KING
Yo TGN Anime?, its clear as day players are going to have to learn how to Deflect alot like in 3rd Strike, in order to overcome many of Broly's armored attacks in this game. Judging by what you've outlined he's going to be a monster to overcome in cornertraps and thensome!
Next patch for broly: ALL L,M,H attacks now ALL have super armor and has lvl 5 ult (which ofc also has super armor :))
his 2m also has armor.
Note: He says you can only slam an opponent back to the ground after you've hit a 2H, this is inaccurate, you can also use a L auto combo, or a Dragon Rush. ALSO, After the 5H (Air) Throw down, you can use "Gigantic Strike" To increase damage and then finish with "Gigantic Meteor".
I never watched any dragon ball or never played any fighting games, other than sometimes playing smash bros ultimate with my cousins, my friend wanted me to play this game with him and said since i like heavy hitters i should play this guy. i just wanna say thanks for these helpful guides so i can play with him and i wanted to know if it would be a good idea to pair this guy with the fat pink guy and also who would be a good addition to these two?

I know this is old but you missed something the quarter R1 (idk the input for the other controller or pc) will do the same super but faster

2- How do you interrupt your own dragon rush? Or is that Broly's whole Dragon Rush there? Haven't played him enough.
1. It's faster than the medium version but has the same effect.
2. After a long combo, all characters have that short Dragon Rush

Who do u think is a better character bardock or broly?
Bardock is both easier and better. Broly is more technical, but can easily get hits due to his long range and armor (God Press). He's also capable of stupid damage with his Eraser Cannon DHC and Slow Level 3 and the resulting 100% combo he can do with it with no Sparking or Assists needed.
