I agree that colour works well with the decals. XTra Speed are doing well with the Hop Uo Options for Tamiya, nice one Andy 👍🏻
Seems to have been a bit of a hit with this. Colour, cheers Damian. Xtra speed are bringing out sone nice parts are couple I’d say are a little dubious but for the most I’ve really liked them. :)
Looks pretty cool in the cobalt green! It looked good running around as well! I am patiently waiting to get my hands on one of these myself.
Fingers crossed Addam , it’s a nice enjoyable build and goes together smoothly. Watch out for those alloy counter gears though ;) you can also replace them with the ta02 skyline/speed tune gear set which are all plastic. Enjoy your build if you manage to score one ;) take care

Glad to see it re-re'd again. I need a few bits for my Manta Ray hybrid I used to race in the early '90s. Some suspension and front upright parts.
That colour does work well 👍 look forward to seeing it as the hop ups arrive 👍
I love that colour and it does go well with the manta ray body. I’ve had to change slight direction with what I’m doing with it but it made more sense economically, which I’ll explain in the next video

Awesome review. Constructive criticism: perhaps invest in a directional mic with a foam sock for outdoor filming. It will cut down on ambient noise for your presentation.

Still waiting on a couple of bit to start mine. Main one being is the undertray from the topforce. Hopefully it will fit and line up OK.
Hi Mark hope you get it started soon then ;) it’s a nice fun build if you never built any of the df01/ta02 chassis before. Definitely consider getting rid of the alloy counter gears in the rear gearbox they are pretty rubbish. Enjoy your build mate
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 yeah I've bulit a couple so already got the motor mount.. Gear set.. Prop shaft. And going to make some turnbuckles.

Is it basically the same rear gearbox as the VQS? I had troubles with the VQS - never worked as it sounded like the gears stripped or slipped.
Egress, avante, vqs share the same gearbox , I’ve not had a problem with mine. The manta ray/ df01 is the same gearbox as a top force ir tge ta01/02 chassis cars.
It's been a while since I've seen a video shot on the lane. Love the colour, really suits the car. It's taking all my willpower not to buy one of these.😅
