Here to know where to buy those tiny brushes that my cups should've came with 🥴🥴
Amazon I would think
💯
Just posted the link girlie. These are the ones you need! Hydrojug just sent to me like last week.
@@linnahutchingswhat link?
For real. Should have come with one.
Why would you make a cup that can’t fully be taken apart and cleaned 😂
All three of my travelers have grown mold where you can’t take the straw out 😢
@@averyjohn9384Same! And I've tried these tiny brushes but the ones small enough bend too easily and won't actually go under the straw. So also, why not provide the cleaning tools necessary?
Since they avoid the questions and complaints about mold and why it's so hard to remove the spout. I had to literally open the spout, wrap it in a towel and then stomp on it in order to disassemble it. Then file down the spouts "pegs" just enough to make it easy to reinsert and remove again. The silicone part under the spout is a pain to remove and reinsert, but it's doable. I hope this helps some of you out there with mold issues, since the customer service is non existent.
I saw a girl that had the same style of the lid from an off brand just pulled back the straw part and took apart the piece in the middle. I have yet to receive my order, but I'll do an experiment lol
*not the straw. I meant the spout part.
Could you show us how to do it?
Does it leak since it’s not as tight? Thanks for the idea!
We broke mine taking it apart 😂
So really it's NOT easy to clean because people have to go and buy those brushes separately to clean those sections... HydroJug should include 2 brushes with the cup...
It should come with at least one of those tiny brushes
We need a new lid with a detachable cleanable straw, please make one and sell it for people with this cup already
I think you need to redesign the lid, so it is easier to clean. I know people that have done all the recommended things and the tiny brushes don't reach where the mold is.
I have had the mold issue too, I contacted customer service through email and they sent me a brand new cup. I was just asking for a new lid… we have tried everything to get the sipper out to clean out the mold. It’s ridiculous that this is my favorite cup but molds like it does!
Where do you get the tiny brushes for it?
Thank you for posting this, the lid around the straw is troubling to clean
Saw this video. Bought a brush just like this and it STILL DOES NOT CLEAN VERY WELL! Truly disappointed. Either include that with the purchase or redesign. Not happy at all. @hydrojug
Love that you posted this!! Where can we find those little brushes? 😂 Also love my hydrojugs.
You can find little brushes from dental isle. I would use those the one for your teeth. There will be plenty in a pack tho
@@miletrod thank you!!
I tried a dental brush pic and it didn’t fit.
I swear we all have the same question 😅 where do we buy those brushes?
Interdental brushes. Aka mini toothbrushes from any drugstore ;)
Is there any way to get a replacement straw for the traveler? Mine was lost and I’ve tried replacement sets from stores and none seem to fit.
My cup got mold where the spout is and I’ve only had it for a month. I clean it all the time but I don’t know what to do now since i don’t know where those little brushes are and in top of that the mold is where you can’t get into the grooves. Please help
Any tips on how to get the lid off? I used mine for the first time and the lid won’t unscrew from the cup
Where do we find the brush? Is that part of the straw able to be popped out to clean?
where do i get a tiny brush?
I to have the moldy ball joint lid. I wash my lid after every use and its gross all the mold. I soaked it and its still moldy . I asked Hydro jug to replace my lid which they should for all of us .
How do you get the sipper out of the lid? There’s so much mold, stuck in mine. I can’t use it anymore.
Did I understand correctly that the straw can go in the dishwasher?
How often do you clean it
Hi! I am excited to receive my very first hydro jug traveler but how can I keep flies off my straw? will Hydro jug invent some kind of cover in the near future? I’m afraid I won’t find anything compatible in the market.
Blacl mold has formed under the top straw and no way to clean it??? Imma have to contaxct customer service bc ive taken care of the cup and it already has mold i cant clean and i paid too much for a cup i cant properly clean
I’ll stick to my Stanley and avoid the mold
Where do you get those tiny brushes?
You commented that the entire traveler was dishwasher safe but when we washed the traveler via the dishwasher, the rubber bottom came unglued! Now what do we do???
How does one purchase these “tiny brushes”
I had an order outstanding on Amazon & was really looking forward to it. I’ve canceled it. I shouldn’t have to work that hard to “try” to get my cup clean. I have a perfectly good Stanley 30 oz one (I got for free) for home & a 17 oz spill proof Stanley for errands. I fell for the hype & fun color. Glad I figured this out before I was out money.
Hi! thank you for the video, so online some people are disassembling the spout. is that not recommended? Also is it true the newer cups have a bit of a different mouth piece? Thank you! @hydrojug
Good question
I sent them an email about the cup, having a weird taste with water in it. Even though I told him I washed it once I opened it, and once I noticed the taste, I washed it again with a different dish detergent, and this taste persisted. They told me I needed a wash it again. How many times am I supposed to wash this cup for the taste to go away? I have a cup that taste like steel water. Which is not something that’s very helpful when you’re trying to keep your water goals. I’m gonna try and reach out to them again.
I know it’s been long since you wrote this comment… but I suggest buying cleaning denture effervescent tablets , and fill the bottle with boiling water and add the tablet give it a stir and let sit for a while( maybe an hour more or less) and then clean it… ant the pieces of the lid you can make another mix in a bowl ( water and the tablet) and sumerge the parts of the lid.
It works wonders.
For everyone complaining of mold - I've had my hydrojug for over 2 months now and I soak the lid in Baking Soda and Vinegar (as they clearly tell you to!) and boiling water every 2 - 3 days, submerge the lid in the mixture before I go to bed, leave overnight and then rinse the next morning - I've had Zero issues with mold so far. I'm thinking some people are just nasty with cleaning and leave it way longer than they should to disinfect the lid 🤢🤮
Can you please share the ratio you use? Thank you!
@@priscillalf quarter cup of baking soda, quarter cup of vinegar - I place the mixture in a bowel, and pour in enough boiling water to fully cover the lid - hope this helps.
I love that it's spill proof...hate that I can't clean the mold out. Will not buy another one.
Taking the spout and rubber seal off is doable, but not for me. I came here to find a tutorial on it but saw people were having trouble so I recruited my husband. He was able to do it using two skinny flat head screwdrivers. One on each side of the spout and pried it out without any damage. I wish it were a bit easier though.
It looks like a dental inter-proximal brush.
Yeah I need a video on how to res-install the rubber seal because I don’t see any helpful videos on this??
“Deassemble” took me out😭
“Twist off”. I’ve been trying so hard to open my hydrojug for 5 mins now lol.
I have trouble too sometimes because it very easy to tighten it too much 😭
I hate that it doesn’t come with cleaning brushes my cup after using it with drinks start to get mold inside because it need to get clean with a brush inside the straw and top part I’m very disappointed about this cup 😏😕
I just love the mold I can’t get cleaned
Why would they not make it an option to come apart? Or include the brushes??? Ridiculous
I had mold they replaced the lid but there is a CZcams video on how to disassemble the foldable straw spout.. it’s not easy my had a very hard time. I love my traveler but I will not buy another one till they fix the issue and make a lid and foldable straw that totally dissembles to clean it thoroughly. The little brushes they show in the video don’t work. I will just keep having them replacing the lid and straw every time I see any mold.
There has to be a better way to clean it
Search how it disassembled Hydrojug travel lid in the search box and you will find how they disassemble the foldable straw spout to clean it. the brushes the talk about in this video do not reach to clean it thoroughly.
Where's my brush that didn't come with my cup.... WOW for the price, those could have been added in.
Can I have a link for the tiny brushes you use to clean the lid?
It’s one of those small cleaning braces brush or tiny baby bottle cleaning brush
All 3 of mine have the same issue...I tried scrubbing, hot dishwasher cycle, and soaking the lid overnight in bleach and water. Nothing has worked to get the black mold off of the
ball/socket joint part of the mouthpiece or the rubber piece that connect the straw to the lid. So disappointed!
My husband used two flat head screwdrivers. One on each side of the ball joint where it connects the lid. He was able to pry the spout off. Hope this helps. It really should be easier!
I call BS. I purchased those tiny brushes from Temu and it does NOT completely clean those areas on the lid.
Why don’t you guys make a video and does it work? Does it keep stuff cold up and how long the ice last inside instead of all these other nonsense videos
Definitely keeps liquids cold. But ice doesn't hold all day in my experience.
@@MsCorkybabidrat. I have the 40 ounce Stanley and the ice stays for nearly 24 hours😮
I’ve stays in mine for longer than it does in my Stanleys. I think it’s because you can close the straw and it stays colder in there.
What an awful design flaw. The straw doesn’t separate from the lid but has a bunch of little nooks and crannies. What the fuck? We’re not seeing mold (yet) in ours but what a bitch it is to clean these cups.
The tiny brushes still don’t reach the mold please help 🥲
