Just in case you haven't done so yet, check out Obama various speeches and how he adjusts his speaking pattern to the subject matter he is pushing and the audience he is talking to. He seems to use the faux southern style if he is talking to an a southern audience(whether white, black or both). It is a clever way to disarm his listeners, by sounding "folksy" and unintimidating. He sometimes uses the "southern preacher" speech pattern and cadence, particularly when speaking to a predominantly black audience. When Obama wants to vebally intimidate his audience, he speaks at them, and down to them, as an authoritarian professor. Hillary has sometimes, used faux southern black speech patterns when talking to black audiences. My apologies for going on so long. These two plus Kamala, KJP and Biden are some of the most annoying people in politics to listen to.
