Which type of Apple Barrel acrylic did you use? Multi-surface or the Apple Barrel craft paint? Thank you very much
@@Ms.Pants83 Hi! I don't think it's the multi-surface. My package just says "Apple Barrel", and then the color, then then "Matter Acrylic Paint" "Quick Drying" "Easy Cleanup"
@@linglingcrafting6187 hey I was wondering how long did it take for your ornaments to fully dry. Mine has been sitting for almost a day and the inside is still kinda wet it’s feels like. They were hanging upside down btw. Thanks
@@hide8653 Hmm I made those long time ago, but I don't think it took that long. One or two days, I think. And I thought I only let them sit upside down a little bit (a few hours), and then turned the "opening" side up for overnight, or a day or so - maybe this will helps.
Mine still looks great many years later
What worked great to me was turning them every 10 mins the turn again. Th colors were beautiful. Contrasting work well. Add gold between green and red. Decorated with ribbon or lace.
Has anyone used the dirty pour acrylic formula to do this? You just add diluted glue school glue (it dries clear) to your paint. One part paint two parts diluted glue or pouring medium as is known. Or you can also use floetrol, this you can only buy at Lowe’s or Home Depot. If you only add more water to this craft paints it breaks down their acrylic molecules and they have nothing to bind to any more, so they chip more easily. That is why we use glue or floetrol. I avoid apple barrel paints and I only get craftsmart when there is nothing else. Deco Art Americana is the best in the craft line of paints. They also have a pouring medium. Craftsmart metallic colors are great tho, plus it creates cells when doing a dirty pour or a swipe on canvas.
Put paint directly in the ornament to save on paint and no Shri g of green and red etc. I mix green and red for brown. Dollar tree tube paints work greats. Thank you for the video
I pour directly into the ornament as well.
Same…directly into the ornaments works best.
Totally agree why pour paint into a dish then transfer back into the ball lol just pour it right in there
So helpful! I was wondering if I could just squeeze the paint into the ornament. This might be an easier and less messy(hopefully) technique to use with the kiddos in the family.
I love that sunset ornament...my favorite! Great video.
beautiful cant wait to try this. The sunset one looks like a peach to me...so pretty :}
Thank you so very very much for the tutorial 😊. I bought last year about 75 clear plastic ornaments on clearance. I’ve tried pouring with paint and wasn’t very successful. Yours are so beautiful 😍 I’m going to try your method. I’ve subscribed to your channel. This is the first time I’ve seen you and now with my subscription, I look forward to other videos of your craft. Thanks for sharing and have a great week. Georgene
Thank you for your tutorial. Very pretty!
These are beautiful! Hoping to find time to try this before Christmas.👍
Hopefully! These are very easy to make, takes almost no time! :)
The best info I have seen today! So thankful! Thanks!
Oh I loved it!! All of them!! Especially the extra information. You gave a great tutorial 👍!!
Thank you so much for your tutorial. I only have clear ornaments at home but wanted a galaxy tree this year. Couldn't buy ornaments in time before the lockdown because of work and now I got something fun to do! Thank you ^^
They are beautiful!
Thanks so much for sharing hints!
Why pour in the extra cup and not directly into balls and red and green next to each other makes mud need to check your color wheel
Thank you so much for this!
Is this plastic or glass ornament?
Замечательно!
Yes it was helpful ty
Are the ornaments you used plastic or glass?
i got mine at micheals and mine is plastic i’m pretty sure hers is plastic too
She stated in a comment she used glass and said plastic works to
My paint cracked! What do you do to prevent this?
I wonder what would happen if you added glitter to the paint?
I think I did try that... but the glitter didn't really show up...? Unless you use a clear base like what I did in my unicorn ornament video~ :P
I did use apple barrel brand.
How.long do you let them try
These are beautiful are these glass or plastic ornaments
Thanks! I tried both, they both worked great. Most of the ones I used are glass, but around 10:14 in the video, I talked about a plastic one. Although I should start digging up my ornaments from the bottom of my basement to see if they still look as good as a year ago! :)
Lingling Crafting very nice thank you
Cool😃😍
Why not simply squirt paint directly into the ornaments?
How do u keep from getting cracks in ur paint? I'm getting cracks and separate
Probably didn't use enough paint/ try watering paint down SLIGHTLY. (fyi I haven't done This, but I have had similar issues pouring paint and doing mixed media projects. ) Hope 🙏 you figure it out. I'm going to try this , but going to play with the paint,(adding pouring medium/etc/( if I stumble on similar issues or how to fix it ..I'll come back and share.
Did you do the unicorn ornament video
A problem that I have is the ornaments not drying properly.
THIS! I've been trying to dry some for over a week and no luck.
are they glass or plastic ornaments
oh you answered my question in video
What about using a funnel?
My ornament just will not dry and it been 2 weeks and I did I used metallic rose gold Folk art plced upside down in cup but had to go over a few spots had to add a little more and then I read I should’ve added a little water I hope it’s dry by Xmas 😂
I made these last week, and they came out beautiful, but I just saw the paint on the inside is starting to come off. What do I do? 😭😭😭
Sorry to hear that! Did you let the paint dry completely before putting on the lid? I just found mine from the basement, it's been a year, and most of them are still fine :DD. I will upload an update video soon.
@@linglingcrafting6187 I thought they had, dried already. I think it may take more than a couple of hours for the paint to drain though. In another video, a lady drained them as you did then turned them up to dry. I was just more mezmorized on how they came out I wanted to hang them quickly.
@@mralrodri1588 I waited 24 hrs and the paint cracked inside!
Other people say they put a varnish in there but one that is acrylic varnish and it's supposed to help not chip
I always seem to have trouble with the paint not drying quickly and tending to run out. Does anyone have any tips on how to avoid this please?
There is really no fix for this u just have to be patient and Maybe buy extra paint
I wash my plastic cups.
I just put the paint directly into my ornaments instead of putting it in a cup
Hi Becky: I'm Karen, living in Calgary, Alberta. I came across a site that you commented on. How do you prepare the inside of the Bauble, before the acrylic paint pour. Thanks
Just put paint directly into the ornament.
Next time just learn to use pour paints
i hate this
