      Which type of Apple Barrel acrylic did you use? Multi-surface or the Apple Barrel craft paint? Thank you very much

    • @linglingcrafting6187
      @linglingcrafting6187  Před 3 lety

      @@Ms.Pants83 Hi! I don't think it's the multi-surface. My package just says "Apple Barrel", and then the color, then then "Matter Acrylic Paint" "Quick Drying" "Easy Cleanup"

      @@linglingcrafting6187 hey I was wondering how long did it take for your ornaments to fully dry. Mine has been sitting for almost a day and the inside is still kinda wet it’s feels like. They were hanging upside down btw. Thanks

      @linglingcrafting6187  Před 3 lety

      @@hide8653 Hmm I made those long time ago, but I don't think it took that long. One or two days, I think. And I thought I only let them sit upside down a little bit (a few hours), and then turned the "opening" side up for overnight, or a day or so - maybe this will helps.

    What worked great to me was turning them every 10 mins the turn again. Th colors were beautiful. Contrasting work well. Add gold between green and red. Decorated with ribbon or lace.

    Has anyone used the dirty pour acrylic formula to do this? You just add diluted glue school glue (it dries clear) to your paint. One part paint two parts diluted glue or pouring medium as is known. Or you can also use floetrol, this you can only buy at Lowe’s or Home Depot. If you only add more water to this craft paints it breaks down their acrylic molecules and they have nothing to bind to any more, so they chip more easily. That is why we use glue or floetrol. I avoid apple barrel paints and I only get craftsmart when there is nothing else. Deco Art Americana is the best in the craft line of paints. They also have a pouring medium. Craftsmart metallic colors are great tho, plus it creates cells when doing a dirty pour or a swipe on canvas.

    Put paint directly in the ornament to save on paint and no Shri g of green and red etc. I mix green and red for brown. Dollar tree tube paints work greats. Thank you for the video

      Totally agree why pour paint into a dish then transfer back into the ball lol just pour it right in there

      So helpful! I was wondering if I could just squeeze the paint into the ornament. This might be an easier and less messy(hopefully) technique to use with the kiddos in the family.

    Thank you so very very much for the tutorial 😊. I bought last year about 75 clear plastic ornaments on clearance. I’ve tried pouring with paint and wasn’t very successful. Yours are so beautiful 😍 I’m going to try your method. I’ve subscribed to your channel. This is the first time I’ve seen you and now with my subscription, I look forward to other videos of your craft. Thanks for sharing and have a great week. Georgene

      Probably didn't use enough paint/ try watering paint down SLIGHTLY. (fyi I haven't done This, but I have had similar issues pouring paint and doing mixed media projects. ) Hope 🙏 you figure it out. I'm going to try this , but going to play with the paint,(adding pouring medium/etc/( if I stumble on similar issues or how to fix it ..I'll come back and share.
