Pretty funny to think a 5-13 team (maybe a soon to be 5-23 team) can even think in terms of rebuilding or not rebuilding. As if there is a foundation to rebuild on. What a sad state of affairs this franchise finds itself in.

The Magic don’t want Lavine. No one doubts his skill, it’s the attitude that makes it a non-starter for us. Our FO is all about character type guys that don’t place themselves above the team. Just look at the roster… it’s not one where there is room for Zach, even with all of that talent. Young team with good things happening, no need to poison the well.

I think the hawks/lakers trade is the most realistic and I like it the most. I don't think the cavs would go for that trade. Caruso would have to be considerably more valuable than Strus for them to bite, and the cavs value Strus quite a bit.
Bulls will be losers in any trade involving the Lakers.
Gee.... it is almost like the Bulls threw away their future by giving up draft picks, tied their hands with aging and highly paid players and the same guys that oversaw this train wreck are going to be the ones to fix it.

The same guys that sold the farm for a half a season of good basketball in 2021-22 where they did not even win 50 games and got booted 4-1 in the 1st round of the playoffs.
No one can fix this mess in a year so you might as well go full rebuild starting right now and tank for a nice lottery pick.

Keep Caruso for culture purposes. Caruso is still the best perimeter defender and ball stopper. The defense will plummet the moment you trade him. I don’t think there’s any Bull that’s playing harder than Caruso and that’s worth SOMETHING.
If we’re moving off of Vuc then he needs to be replaced by a defensive center. There will not be an offensive rebounding center available moving off of Vuc but there’s two young guys that stand out…Hornets Mark Williams (The steal of the 2022 Draft and a defensive juggernaut) is Ben Wallace 4.0 with a better offensive game and Timberwolves Naz Reed who plays the 4 and the 5 needs no introduction. PG options are Malcolm Brogdon and Tyus Jones
I like the Cavs/Bulls trade. However, I’ve seen games when Caruso isn’t playing. Defense seems to fall off a cliff when AC isn’t on the court.
Like that Kings trade, think they wouldn’t part ways with Monk tho. I’d do it but we’d need to be cool with t Drummond starting
One trade that I saw was Nikola Novic, Caleb Martin, Kyle Lowry and a 1st for Lavine. Novic is a young PF that they could look at through the rest of the season. Also, kind of an interesting idea reuniting Lowry and DeRozan. Even better is that their contracts expire after this season. Then, maybe you'd have the cap space to sign a guy like OG Anunoby. Coby, OG, Jovic and P-Will wouldn't be the worst start to the next era.

Bulls need to trade lavine to the raptors if they want to stay competitive. Trent would be nice 3/d. I think Bulls keep Vuc tbh, he moves the ball well and could work around young guys.

If the Bulls want to retool, as oppose to a full rebuild… what they need to do is make a trade that balances their roster out from the guard and wing heavy mess they have now. Particularly a move that nets them some young front court help and specifically a young athletic power forward who can bang and board while helping protect the rim, to slot next to Vooch.

I like the lakers hawks trade the most but I think the bulls would have to give a little more just to make that trade sweeter for the cavs. Idk what that is but I just have a feeling they wouldn’t just want Zach and ac.

These are the issues you need to be addressing not non existent trades that are never going to happen.
I don’t really want to move Demar or AC and I don’t think they need to be moved. And whoever comes to the Bulls - sure individual talent is important but I think just as important, they need to willing to follow Billy and his coaching principles.
I would love reeves in Chicago. He will develop into something good. Donovan has to go

I don't know why AKMe brought back a roster that has been underperforming for 2 seasons. What are they hoping for, a miracle? Another weakness is that they are too slow in developing their young players and worst is their inability to scout talented players in the draft.
Not the Bulls, but the Pelicans could be an interesting trade partner for Cleveland- Cleveland sends Mitchell and Porter JR and gets Brandon Ingram and Trey Murphy
Have to acquire Jalen Johnson in That trade.
The Bulls need to get the best deal out of it and zach would have to go where they send him they hold the cards because he's under contract and if it takes till January so be it.
I believe if the bulls can trade their star players & a couple guards off the bench for more size, length and defense with shooting they would be a better team, the bulls need to stop using isolated basketball & look for open players that can shoot consistently

Magic giving up little getting LaVine sounds good. But I'm not a fan of Russell. I like Hach, Reeves and Vincent....But in my heart I choose #1. We get skilled players {shooters} and size.....Make that deal.

No way are the Magic giving up Mo Wagner, Ingles, and Harris for LaVine. If you think that then you don't understand the Magic.
1) Zach doesn't fit the Magic. He takes the ball out of Paolo and Franz's hands. He also doesn't play defense. So no for him.
2) Joe Ingles and Garry Harris have value as winners that give maturity to this young team. That is a major reason for the Magic early success. Zach would not help the team in that way.
3) Mo Wagner is a key piece to their bench unit which is #2 in the league. Also, he is Franz's brother. No the Magic aren't giving him up at this time.
I think there are way better fits for the Magic out there that won't cost them those players. Any trade they will do will most likely involve their peripheral players like Flutz or Okeke and draft picks (like the Denver 2025).
Bulls being competitive is at max a 9th seed. We're screwed.
Lavine is such a backwards player. Takes contested jumpers when he beats his man to the basket. Decides to drive in for a layup when the paint is clogged when he could just pull the trigger on the 3. Ball hog most of the time. I understand that he'll get hot at times & donovan will mess the momentum up for him most of the time, but star wise he's just not our guy.
First of all the longer the Bulls hold on to ZL the less he is worth second who wants to take on that contract for the way he is playing. He has the worst MAX contract in the NBA. Third the Bulls management way over values their players in terms of what they want back and that’s why they never get any deals done. Finally this management team has made some horrible trades VUC and draft picks so what makes you think that with additional draft capital
it’s going to change anytime soon. BD doesn’t play his young talent even when the Bulls are getting blown out. NJ on Sunday. Terry played the fewest minutes of any draft pick last year.

I think if the bulls were to not rebuild but make trades to seriously contend. But they need to focus on seriously developing their young players like ayo, coby White, Patrick Williams, adama sanga and juilan Philips. Patrick Williams I think can become the teams 3rd best or 2nd best player if he develops right. Now if we full on rebuild I think he can become the number 1 option and face of the franchise.

I'm so high on Donovan Mitchell. I'm all about that trade right there, but I don't think it changes enough for the Bulls tbh.
I do think that's a really sensible trade though for both parties. I'm just more interested to see where DeMar and Vuc end up if they're not included in a trade involving Zach. I think Vuc, while he has his flaws, is the key to the Bulls being able to get what they want. Like you said, there are some key teams that need a good starting big.

This one has been bugging me for a long time. I've never liked Trae Young.
But putting Zach LaVine next to a two-way point guard seems compelling for Atlanta.
And the bulls actually having a lead-the-league in assist point guard who is way more than willing to shoot threes is kind of interesting.
I just don't know how Young would feel about this kind of move for his career.
Maybe there's a way to flip young to the wizards for Tyus Jones and some stuff.

Bulls trade Lavine and Caruso to the Lakers for Austin Reaves, Huchimura,D Angelo Russell. Trade DeRozan to Miami for Tyler Hero, and Duncan Robinson. Add to the roster Damarcus Cousins and Taco Fall for size and toughness in the middle. The last move is to let go of Billy Donovan and hire Mark Jackson. This makes them a hot shooting 3pt team younger with physical toughness at the center position and adding players with playoff experience. It still leaves Coby White, Patrick Williams,and Vucevic.
