    If they keep Hartenstein I think they win the East. NBA players always talk about how hard it is to go back to back after having that sense of accomplishment and just a little less drive to win. Meanwhile the Knicks are as hungry as it gets and built almost perfectly. They also just drafted Tyler Kolek. On point. Mikal will thrive with the Knicks next year, because the Knicks don't need him to be their #1 or even #2 option on offense and that's why they wanted him so much -- he perfectly fills a key role for them as a perimeter defender, cutter, and stretcher of opposing defenses. Not locked up yet if they don't win the chip this upcoming season we got 4 of our core probably going to want max contracts and at least two of them are worth more than OG. So Rose better ready to pay or lose. These off-season moves were good but temporary solution to a bigger problem. If they keep this core together for at least 3-4 years barring crazy injuries they have a good chance of getting a chip. On top of that the West is only getting deeper as well.

      They won’t max Randle, only max player on their roster is jalen. Mikal would get a better deal close to og ball-park if he’s who we think he is, Donte will get more and Josh will get more, but those are the guys you really need to keep.

      Yeah but just remember with the NBA's new TV deal money the salary cap is going to increase by about 10% annually over the next half decade or so. It's at $141M now so that means by like 2028-29 it'll be well over $200M. Which puts OG's roughly $45M per year number at only like 23% of the cap, which isn't bad at all. By 2029 some guys are gunna be making $75M-$80M per year. Crazy

      @@daniellemieux1911 Trae is not worth that money. No defense and is an inefficient scorer. OG is the best 3 & D wing in the league, different value tiers. Their are more serviceable pgs who can play defense than elite 3 & D wings who can guard 1 to 4 and even some 5s.

      @NYKNICKS85 Před 2 dny

      @@daniellemieux1911 True. But OG value is a 3 and d player. If you noticed in the league one of the most coveted players in the NBA are elite 3&D wings, which is what OG is. The money he got is for his fit with the team and impact. OGs impact goes way above his stats.
