Warriors offered Klay 48 million for 2 years after paying him 43 million a year for 2 years of rehab. Klay turned it down.
Seems to me is that Klay was not willing to work with the needs of the Warriors after they did the right thing, patiently waiting for him to return "not trading him" and paying him a lot in that rehab time. No respect???? Hardly.......
Klay has been pouting and complaining for the last 5 years. Its time for everyone to move on. Klay wants his bag and the Warriors are not willing to make that sacrifice or take the risk that Klay will get hurt again and they will again be paying for his rehab.....so someone else has to provide the bag and take that risk.
Klay went 0-10 in his last playoff game.......
Chris Paul and Klay with a combined salary of 73 million dollars combined for 7 points in their last playoff game. Warriors have to move On.......

WINDY and LOWE'S insights are sensible and on point. BIG PERK and JEFFERSON are entitled to their opinion, but i disagree with them. KLAY was compensated well (80M/2yrs; he didn't play a single game) while he was recovering/rehabbing from 2 career threatening injuries. DUBS offered him 48M/2yrs, he declined it, wants 35M/yr for 3yrs, DUBS rejected it, and decided to play for the MAVS for 50M/3yrs. He wasn't DISRESPECTED by the DUBS. He didn't play well in the past 2yrs, particularly in the PLAYOFFS. KLAY'S drama started when he DISTRACTED himself by paying attention to TOP PLAYERS getting MAX CONTRACTS, and wanting to get the BAG 💰 from DUBS MANAGEMENT upon expiration of his contract. He played HOT and COLD (he SHOT INCONSISTENTLY; he STARTED BADLY, his FG% were CAREER LOWS, before it improved and went up near mid season. In his LAST PLAYOFF GAME, when KINGS eliminated the DUBS, he went 0/10 🐣). KLAY is too proud and can't accept his GAME has diminished. When he's SHOOTING BAD, he gets FRUSTRATED, LOSES his FOCUS/PATIENCE/CONFIDENCE, and his GAME falls apart. KLAY'S MINDSET is VULNERABLE when DISTRACTED by PERSONAL ISSUES which affects his GAME. HE has nobody else to BLAME but HIMSELF. His MINDSET should be LASER FOCUSED STRONG. KLAY is among NBA'S ELITE SHARPSHOOTER'S and is still capable of being an EXPLOSIVE SCORER. The BASIS if he's deserving of the BAG 💰 from DUBS MANAGEMENT is his PERFORMANCE the past 2yrs. Does KLAY deserve the 35M/yr for 3yrs NEW CONTRACT he's asking? The LOGICAL ANSWER is NO. BEST of LUCK to KLAY with the MAVS. This FRESH START will be GOOD for HIM 🎯

Klay never improved his game, once the warriors gave away that 2016 title, klay should have developed a post up game, a consistent mid range jumper and a better handle so he can drive to the basket more often....instead they got durant , and klay just decided to continue to rely on his supreme elite 3 point shooting.....once he got injured twice it was a wrap, he lost his speed and he became a shell of himself offensively and defensively....
At this point of his career, klay needs to be a spot up shooter like Ray allen....... just stand in the corner and hit wide open threes.....
Funny thing is, the warriors won the title in 2022 with klay being a shell of himself....
Jordan poole explosion in the regular season, andrew wiggins playing like a Allstar, draymond leading the defense and steph doing his best allen Iverson impression is the reason why they won that title in 2022.......
Klay was a non factor that entire year......

klay actually started playing really well after accepting his bench role and having reduced minutes. probably the best i've seen him play his entire career. see, klay's really a streaky shooter his entire career. he'd have months of going through slumps. and the time he came off the bench, he was pretty consistent, not just with the shots, but with his play-making and defense as well. actually, i feel like gs' big 3 all needed to play lesser minutes as they're all getting old and it showed a lot near the end of games where they lost a lot of close games because they couldn't close it out, which had been happening the last 2 seasons. the thing is, it seems like kerr never figured anything out even after couple seasons of dabbling with the lineup!

Warriors offered him good money for 2 years but he took the same money with other team saying he has better chances of winning over Dallas? Imagine Steph doing the same to klay when was he injured ? Curry could have left warriors to a team with better chances of winning while klay was still injured? But he didn’t . Shooting 0/10 in an elimination game, not able to hold on to starting position and losing it to rookie ? feeling you have to be paid a 100 million for that kind of performance? Draymond single-handedly ended the Warriors dynasty. The dubs could’ve had the greatest shooting duo in the history of the game with Steph and Klay. They could’ve continued something similar with Steph and KD with an aging Klay coming in as a sixth man, but all that changed because of Draymond who also punched out a promising Jordan Poole who is better in the Warrior’s system suited as a secondary option instead of a primary scorer. It was Draymond that prematurely ended the Warriors dynasty.

The past few days have been "different" for the Warriors 😳
Often in the limelight for winning, their team has been hit with major free agency news.
🔸 They thought they had a deal in place for Paul George
Paul George was reportedly interested in joining the Warriors, but the Clippers had other plans. George is now with Sixers.
🔸 They couldn't work a deal for Klay Thompson
After negotiations failed, Klay will now enter the market seeking a bigger role, new contract, but with the same winning mindset. Thompson is now with Dallas.
🔸 They passed up on a trade with the Bulls
Chris Haynes reported that Zach LaVine could have been a Warrior but the Warriors declined.
The proposed trade: Chris Paul and Andrew Wiggins to the Bulls for Zach LaVine. Paul is now with the Spurs.

Draymond brought all the heat will sitting on his 4yr 100m. Klay had a contract year and draymond was getting suspended on purpose . Poole: Got assaulted at the workplace, Warriors wanted to sweep it under the rug, the video was released, JP was emasculated. To sum it up: You're living in the past and so is Klay. @@BETTALIFE101 For Rudy, Rudy is getting paid 41 million a year. Time for GSW to blow it up and rebuild while Curry gets his 5 ring on another team.

You're talking about Steph Curry, Steph Wardell Curry, being traded to a timberwolves team whose large minority stake owners are about to back out of their payroll? Not the wisest idea.

As a Warrior fan I’m disappointed on Klay and his entitled behavior. Warriors paid him over 85 million to rehab and then offered him 2 years 48 million and was offended by that, now he ended up getting less money. Even in his disgruntled attitude Warriors came out and said we’re gonna retire his jersey

I think giving draymond his money was justified, there was no replacement for what he does on the court. Klay was showing he can't get it done. Too many games where he scored too little, defense not what it was, disappeared late. The warriors were at a point playing better without him, so why back on him suddenly changing while also handicapping the playing time of the blossoming young group? I think better to let him go, let the young guys play more, and hope they come into their own and support steph. Wiggins too, that guy needs to at least be relevant.

Bob Myers biggest strength was communication. Mike Dunleavy Jr is the opposite. He's literally done everything wrong this summer, including the Wiggins Olympics situation.
