  • My rear side window was only going about halfway up. This video shows you how to replace the broken plastic block on the window regulator without removing the regulator. This job would probably take around 1 hour. ****Forgot a step in the video. First step, lower the convertible top and stop it before the trunk cover starts to lower, as I have it in the video*****

    Unbelievable! A garage that services Mercedes wanted $1,100 to fix. With your help I did it for $10 bucks! Having a problem with getting the rear cusion seat back in with the two red seatbelt attachment

    This was the exact problem my car had. My mechanic had me order the whole regulator mechanism -- had to buy a "used" one for $220 since no one had the new part ($400+). I saw the repair kits for $25 but had no idea how to use it. After watching this video I ordered the plastic part ($10), followed the directions, and maybe two hours later my window is working again. Every thing on this video was spot on. Only thing to add is when putting the back seat back on, there is a bolt at the top of the car that the seat needs to "hook" over. It you look at the back of the seat, just above the arm rest you will see the spot where it hooks over the bolt. Based on what my mechanic said this video saved me at least $600-$800. Thank you! PS -- I used the tool you use to open a can of paint to hook into the spring so I could compress it. Now I just need to return the regulator and the repair kit:)

    I enjoyed watching your video and have a question. I have a 2001 CLK320 cabrio that leaks at the rear window when I go through a car wash. The rear window seal is deteriorated and needs replacement. Can the seal be replaced without replacing the rear window? The dealership says no. What say you?

    • @MrMarco6900
      @MrMarco6900  Před 4 lety

      Yes, you can fix that yourself. I just did it about 2 weeks ago. It is a royal pain in the pooper, very time consuming. I followed this video to do it. czcams.com/video/SEkxsX6_YRU/video.html

    In the video, your winscreen mount cover is missing and you take out the plastic piece with a 90 pick. One of my windscreen mounts is broken on the inside and I'm not sure if I can access and remove it by just taking the plastic cover off or if I need to remove the whole interior door panel (seatbelts, etc) as you did in your video? Thanks.

    • @MrMarco6900
      @MrMarco6900  Před 4 lety

      Ron, I'm sorry but I don't remember if the windscreen mount is on the frame or on the door panel itself. In either case, you'll probably have to go through the steps to remove the door panel to have a good look. You at least won't need to remove the seat belts for that.

    Anyone reading this pls HELP. Ok i have a 2002 clk 230 cabrio. Ocasionally all the windows and rear head rests and the electric mirrors all stop working. The only way to get them all working again is to take the negative terminal off the battery only for a couple of seconds then put it back on and hey presto its all back working again. Anyone any ideas.???
