first of all thanks for such a nice explanation & good words for why this movie deserves one of the best movies of Indian cinema.
You have done quite good research, kudos
    Budget: 3.5 cr
    Collection: 14.3 lakhs.
this gives us an idea of how fucked up our generations is, Yeah right.
I also agree with that but until I have seen one interview with Amjad Khan
where he mentioned that when working-class people watch cinema because they
want to be zone out of reality and enjoy the movement
but experimental cinema doing the exact opposite job.
A person wants to get away from his tension and enjoy few minutes and then
what, he can see the same sad life which he already experiencing 24x7
    which make him sadder.
the problem here is Bollywood 1990 to 2012 I have seen the worst movies in Bollywood
but this is changing some of the good movies are coming, the audience is also being mature with taste
    - I feel when a director is making an experimental cinema - he/she should not be
focused on how much this movie going to make on box office
    - there Is a diversified audience for Artistic movies, big-budget shitty acting movies, etc...
    i like the video thanks

I must confess guilt. I got Court copy from friend 2 years back, never took "effort" to saw it, few days back heard about demise of Veera Sathidar and by curiosity searched here, and was silent for entire 1.56 hr. I am ashamed that I am part of larger people who Ignored this film and Ignores all Narayan Kamble in our life! Sorry

Tragedy is people know the bollywood movies are shit, but still they go to theatre. And they know movies like these deserves the theatre audience and worth watching, but they don't go.
I didn't watch Court because theatre in my town didn't release it. But I don't watch the bollywood kachra in theatres anymore.

Exactly my friend. The films like tumbad got very few screens in india because of the politics in the industry. Thats why the quality films are not able to recover their budget.

Actually I see our education system does not mature people In terms of arts. Child hood people like movies amar akbar Anthony that's OK but once you grow up you should mature enough to like such movies but that doesn't happened. Even engineer, doctor still likes typical movies .
COURT is mot just about legal system but it also shows all angles of soceity.
    1. How that poet afford private lawyer. Who fun them.
2 he made poet but not help that worker wife finding job
    3. Police waste court time in such waste cases while there are more serious crime. Court also don't know entertained such cases.
    4. Even those caste people more interested in dancing to DJ than to hear his poet or help worker wife.
Self centered soceity was shown . Lifestyle of private lawyers and govt lawyers shown.

    • @TossFilms
      @TossFilms  Před 2 lety +3

Exactly. Cinema is a reflection of life. It must show the reality instead of dropping audience into fake and fantasy world. That's why the Legend Bharat Ratna and Honorary Oscar winning filmmaker Satyajit Ray who is considered as one of the greatest filmmaker world wide is unknown and underated in his own country
