I don't see a single negative about this game in any reviews I have watched. But everywhere the game get's 9/10. This is the most 10/10 game I have played in a long long time.
Honestly I can't remember the last time I picked up a game and just couldn't put it down since I was a teenager some 20 years ago. Unbelievably well made game... As I say to myself just one more run, and I'll go to bed.... Then I check the time and it's nearly 5am and I've been playing for 6 hours without breaks. It's that good.
Absolutely, mate. I recently started playing and cannot seem to stop. It’s genuinely one of the most fun games I’ve played in a while. And the soundtrack, man 🔥🔥
I was expecting the release of this game for a while. Now that i have it in my hands I can say i love the combat and narrative. The soundtrack helps alot too. Its my first roguelike game and i am loving it!
When the guitar kicks in at a miniboss door, and when the bass hits after clearing a room released some kind of endorphins i never knew existed. And then you hear Good Riddance for the first time.
Welcome to the cult! A whole new world of gaming is about to open up for you. I started playing roguelikes and roguelites about 5 years ago and it's a GLORIOUS rabbit hole from which there is no escape. They harken back to my days of sitting in front of my NES as a kid, beating my head against the same game over and over and over until I finally beat it. Once you've played the hell out of Hades (see what I did there?), I'd also highly recommend The Binding of Isaac, FTL, Into the Breach, Rogue Legacy, Slay the Spire, Dead Cells, Crypt of the Necrodancer, and Spelunky (and those are just the high points of the genre, there's so much more). All of the games I named are available on the Switch except FTL and Spelunky. More specifically, I'd highly recommend going to Binding of Isaac next. I lost hundreds and hundreds of hours of my life to that game, still haven't come close to unlocking everything, and I don't regret a single second of it. There are very few games that can boast the quality and quantity of content found in Binding of Isaac and there's still one more expansion on it's way.
the voice actors really sold this game for me, it felt like every single one of them was picked with care and they did a phenomenal job of making the characters interesting
sicdedworm09 ;-) Developing “Hell” - as if Hades is about hell. It’s a pun. Do disasters happening, still a good series of videos documenting progress of Early Access game development.

@@Feldon666 you're very welcome! I try to recommend noclip to people as often as i can, the Hades documentary in particular is my favourite, seeing how the studio works and interacts with each other is fascinating

I've never even heard of Roguelikes until I saw this game a few weeks and instantly bought it. I am heavily impressed. This has to be their Magnum Opus
@@cefirodewinter9086 Jen Zee's art on Hades is permanently burned in my head now. The orange background and default looking font on the thumbnail though...
PShhh fighting to see the ending for hours, who was in Alpha early access and the hydra was one of the last assets I was waiting months and years . Didnt pick it up again till it got on the streaming rounds and my friend told me about it again. Amazing game THANK YOU SuperGiant Games.
Rogue-like games are a bit like cocaine. I see how addicted and happy other people are whilst experiencing it, but any time I've tried it I get zero satisfaction and cried a lot.
Why the hell it still doesn't have a physical version for the Switch? Best game in a long time. Bought it digitally, and will definitely pay for the physical with no hesitation whatsoever. Highly recommended.
This game handles death even better than Dark Souls. It really gives the player a sense of progression even through each failure, and only serves to motivate them to do more runs. Supergiant has created something truly special. IMO, this is their magnum opus and I can't wait to see what other games they'll make in the years to come. Fucking bravo.
The only problem I had with the game is that sometimes there will be a lot of flashlights especially in ellysium ( it's so colourful ) and that makes it so hard to see enemies and their attacks and I wished there's an option to make it less like in dead cells but there isn't unfortunately
I wanted so bad to wait until I had a ps5 so that I could buy this game physically for it but I just couldn't wait anymore. Buying a ps5 is still impossible at this point and I really wanted to play this.
Very addictive gameplay, I do one run daily on the subway...and the humor makes me laugh.. .great game for short runs on the road....or to sink your teeth in at home!
Capturing on Switch is a weird choice for a review, still a nice vid. I think it's a really fun game, the combat is super tight and the end game challenge you in a smart way. I'm not a fan of mythology, especially greek, and most of the dialogue were a bit cheesy and generic (pretty solid voice acting though). But as someone who loves rogue like progression, Hades does it in a brilliant way.

Now watch dogs legion i couldnt make it more than 30 seconds.. 0 exitement feels like seen it all before. (probably in a game called GTA)
On the Switch, but based on the noclip documentary it feels like its taking longer working with other parties to port to PS/Xbox with Covid. With Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre on all consoles, and Hades switching to a new engine mod development, i could see it hitting all consoles later.
A roguelike like hades mirrors real life. You succeed until you fail, and you must fail to learn and improve yourself as a person. Hades is the same, and it manages the balance and story amazingly well. It's not your average roguelike.
