      @repairvehicle Shell 15W40 is a recommended mult-weight in 70's - 80s 911 owners manual. Rotella T4, T5 and T6 all have over the standard 700- 800 ppm in zinc at around 1100. Also have added phosphorus, boron so it's flat tapet cam ideal. I've seen countless Blackstone lab reports and T5 15W40 I like the best due to the added mollybednium.

      Don’t be surprised with bad results. Big oil companies no longer care about quality it’s all about profit. If you want quality you have to go with small companies. Look at big companies what they are pushing these days.

      People use rotella and later end up with engine repairs because clutches start slipping due t-oils

    • @volvo09
      @volvo09 Před rokem +2

      @@repairvehicle I honestly never heard that, I started using T6 in my bike because of car oil being bad for the clutch.
      The clutch was bad when I bought the bike (it would slip for a long time if you shifted at redline and went WOT immediately) but I kept riding it for a few years and finally replaced it after about 6k miles of riding with regular rotella T4. The oil didn't make it any worse. I then kept using T4 till I sold it.
      But that's a sample size of 1, and it was an easy to service bike. If I owned a bike with a clutch buried in crap that had to come off then I'd probably not take my chances and use the factory recommended oil.
