What is your longest run ? Let us know down below! 👇
I ended up doing 83k a few years back. I had gone out for 10k but ended up meeting a mate and went a bit further than planned, then he went home and I somehow got caught in the middle of a marathon and just followed the pack. When I got home I put my Garmin on charge, had some food, took the dog for a walk and did a food shop and then decided to continue with the run.
I have an ultra scheduled around Keswick - Skiddaw in August. I think it is 75k but I need to add an extra 10 t to get me back to the train station as there is no Sunday service the following day
@@bikeanddogtrips What?😂😂
12KM for me... 😅
Folks, it's not a new format... it's just a really long beep test! XD
Now that looks like an interesting race format.
It's very creative
This was such a fun event to run! I was one of the crazy ones in fancy dress and had the privilege of being 1st finisher 🤣
Congrats on a great run x
Well done!
Oh great, well done Anna and thanks for brightening up the grey day!
Well done Heather, that seemed like a great format and tough at the end. Really well done for getting that last lap in, even if you were sore the next day, I bet you are glad you did it. The dropping the time each lap made it quite a challenge. That headwind though…….
So true!
Super impressive! I mean clear audio in all that wind! Really though, the psychological pressure of the increasing pace adds a new element to the format. Good work!
It was a mind game for sure!
Well done Heather! At least by starting that last lap, you know you reached you limit.
Very true!
Love the Mad Hatters. John and the team are a great bunch. Sorry to miss this new concept but I'm a regular to their SwimRun races. Great to see another event going so well.
We love you to Jenny
That was such a cool and fun race. Super great job Heather!!!
so cool! good job!!
Well done. That was something new. Great format
Glad you liked it!
such a cool idea. like the bleep test but more extreme
We thought so too!
Ha, I was watching thinking "gosh I hate the Beep test, this is a giant version!"
Amazing job!
What an interesting format! I'm doing a normal LMS in a month and I'm super excited for it
That was awesome! Thank you for that video 🙂
Our pleasure! We're glad you enjoyed
Love this race style.

Fun format!
The concept of the event is brilliant, and Heather the right one for the challenge!
We agree, Thank you for your kind words!
That was fun to watch. Heather's a champ.
Well done Heather. excellent concept race. 👍🙏
Thanks!
Great editing
❤ fantastic stuff,
Amazing job Heather! And holy cow that wind
It was strong!
Fantastic. I spent the first half of this video doing pace maths in my head 🤪
I did whilst running too!
Haha, we're glad you enjoyed it!
This was a brilliant idea 👍
We sure enjoyed it
Way to go Heather!! What an interesting concept!

Thanks!
Thank you Trevor!
Way to go Heather! I can’t imagine running in such strong headwind!
All about the wind blocks when you could find them ;)
Brilliant, well done Heather
Thanks!
Thank you!
I love your Energy Heather!! Fair play !
Thank you!
🙂
Go Heather! Such an awesome race idea.
Thanks!
Impressive by all runners. No game that format
What a cool event
My former running group will organize a similar event in May. 4.2k lap - 30 minutes cutoff time, and it will NOT decrease. I'm already worried. 😀 Anyhow, congrats and have a nice rest!
What a fun event
how much coffee did you drink after you got changed 🤣🤣🤣 the animated chatting and movements around the 6:48 marker made me laugh. great run though - i saw this on strava the other week
Haha, just a bit of race adrenaline!
Nice job Heather!
Thank you! Cheers!
Good vid
My longest run is when I run the Vasaloppet a 90k trailrun
Don't leave us hanging ... who was the last man standing?
Oliver Jones was last person standing, he completed 34 miles and was the only person to attempt the next lap.
Was this the one in Wadebridge, Cornwall last week? I was looking at this but thought better of it as I wanted to be fresh(ish) for the Looe 10miler the weekend after. Wish I would have signed up now! Looks great.
Next year
Yup it was. Must admit my legs were still a little heavy a week after though.
Have a go at Fortitude this year Heather by Fullsteam Events
Anyone know what that opening song was?
great video, interesting competition.
Please remember not everyone watching you uses miles, it would be nice if you'd expresse evertything in metric units as well.
She did at the end, 52 km😅
Ahh just up the road from me. One day.
Give it a go!
We've had that race format in Northern Ireland for a while, though I think Tennessee is the original. I disagree about the reducing limit. The regular format produces some amazing unforeseen results when people end up running 50 or 60 hours
Yeah Lazarus Lake, also the founder of the Barkleys marathon. 4 mile loop once an hour until the last man standing. And I think the loop is actually more than 4 miles because it’s Lazarus Lake.
@@jonathanzappala the reason for the 4.1 mile distance is it's supposed to be 50 miles after 12 hours and 100 after 24 to keep things neat. Clever idea
@@MichaelODonoghueMOD nice, didn’t know that. I thought it was like the Barkleys where he claims each lap is a marathon but they are all actually longer. But of course only he knows the distance.
First, Congrats Heather! Second, that race looks fun (I'd prob only be able to do 4-5 laps), but the whole time/lap concept seems like a lot of fun!
Thanks!
Why stop the video there? Why not show us who won the overall?
👍🧘♀️
Where are the boys? Why is Heather always doing all the hard work? ;)
You're right, Mark and James need to show us what they're made of!
We Men: Last MAN standing
Women: ?
What a crap.... for family picnic
this isnt a last man standing race...last man standing means...you run until only one person is on their feet and hasn't given up.
