      The condition is parasocial interaction.
A one sided relationship. That doesn't trickle down economics.
The fans of a famous person want a common interest. Not communist. But a common interest. The workers want to be paying customers too. On the same product. A two way relationship.
Supply and demand math has a big x to the math. A common agreement.
A contract to that common agreement.
The workers don't want to get screwed on a contract. The contractor with the lowest bid wins the contract. The working class wants all contractors putting in bids based on playing by the same rules. All companies putting bids in, all pay their workers the same. The winning lowest bid can't be using slave labor.
Slave labor would be parasocial interaction.

Walt is suffering from the strawman fallacy.
This is a perfect example of the strawman fallacy.
The mind isn’t limited to only protecting you from actual or perceived physical threats. That is, in addition to wanting to keep you safe, the mind wants to win-or at least not lose. The brain will create cognitive dissonances to protect itself from losing.
Thus, mind activity is initiated any time we come into disagreement with others. And will do anything to protect itself. Even make an alternative reality, though cognitive dissonances, the might be right fallacy and/or the strawman fallacy.
A crucial characteristic of the narcissism cognitions with this content was that they represented varying degrees of distortion of reality.
Characteristic of the narcissism patients was that they showed a systematic error; viz, a bias for themselves. Because, depression is a bias against themselves. And the brain is protective.
That distortions were particularly likely to be present when the situations (cues) are ambiguous. For example; many words have multiple definitions. A faulty information processing. They change the definition of words. Someone will make communist mean a "classless society." To be a simpleton and stop thier. They never actually get into the math. That the other side is really pushing. Also, going as far as to use a scary word in might be right.
But the unions are for a classless society. That is true. Because the failed math formula doesn't trickle down between the classes.
Rewarding savers is punishing the borrowers. Only some can be shareholders. And if everyone was shareholders, that would be the math of communism.
Star Trex talked about a future moneyless Earth that used a federation credit system because the replicator was invented, AKA communist.
Basically, the math the unions are punishing is capitalism using a not-for-profit banking system. Because all the businesses I shop in require a not-for-profit banking system. A classless society with no predotory lender class.

Basically, the math the unions are selling is capitalism using a not-for-profit banking system. Because all the businesses I shop in require a not-for-profit banking system. A classless society with no predotory lender class.
Because crony capitalism is an oxymoron.
"Capitalism" is the math of normal supply and demand using a not-for-profit banking system.
"Crony capitalism" is basically using a for-profit banking system. Turning the normal supply and demand math into griffin goods supply and demand math.

No. The "trade" unions are the experts. Walt is calling out the trade unions for being a classless society.
The "trade" unions are for normal supply and demand math. The more skilled workers shop on the left side of the math chart. A different class of people get paid better. Supply side economics is veblen goods supply and demand math. A different type of "class" does the shopping with a different math. The veble goods and griffin goods capitalists have no class. Veblen goods are exploiting the mental illness of narcissism for profits.

A cult is a group in gauging in self inflicted harm..
Walt wanting to build a quality product and services but didn't want to pay the better traned people to do it. Thus creating a cognitive dissidence in self inflicting harm.
People who join a trade union are doing so to protect themselves from a cult Stockholm situation.
A trade union is the opposite of communist.

A "trade" union is where skilled people get paid more. Not a classless society.
The worker's union uses the term rat.
Basically, crony capitalism is a cult who believes in veblen goods supply and demand, and/or griffin goods supply and demand math.
The workers' union called out the crony capitalism cult behavior by the derogatory nickname "Rat."
By 1859, John Camden Hotten's Slang Dictionary would define a rat as “a sneak, an informer, a turncoat, a person who deserts one party or cause in order to join an opposing one. They are not human. Humans dont desert their party. They are rats.
Capitalism is a synonym for normal supply and demand.
A cult is a system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object. A veneration for a veblen goods capitalist.
If you don't learn from your past mistakes, you are destin to repeat them. Walt Disney called Unions communist.
This is cult protective behavior. Normal people go by their own merit. Normal people save themselves from going into depression by rewarding merit.
That distortions were particularly likely to be present when the situations (cues) are ambiguous. For example; many words have multiple definitions. A faulty information processing. They change the definition of words. Someone will make communist mean a "classless society." And "union" as everyone gets paid the same. AKA one union is a classless society. But in reality. It's a "trade" union. Creating a skilled class. That goes by merit. To make a better product and services. Based on merit. Based on normal supply and demand math.
Croney capitalism is a cult and want their veblin goods "class." A different math formula of a supply and demand.
The cult never actually gets into the math. That the other side is really pushing. Also, going as far as to use a scary word in might be right.
But the "trade" unions are for a class society. That goes by merit.
The failed math formula, crony capitalism, doesn't trickle down between the classes. The unions have a drauditory nickname for this cut called "Rats." To turn on your party. To not be human.
Cults have three classes. A cult leader, cult recruiters, and cult members.
Rewarding savers is punishing the borrowers. It's not a human thing to do. Only some can be shareholders. This is where the cult members get left behind. and if everyone was shareholders, that would be a failed math formula. We call this math formula "crony capitalism." The cult leaders pay the cult recruiters well. The unions have a drogatory phrase for this, "Rats like the cheese." The "cheese" is the great pay the cult recruiter receives. The rats turn on their party for the cheese.
Star Trex talked about a future moneyless Earth that used a federation credit system because the replicator was invented, AKA communist. Key in on the "moneyless" part to qualify for the definition of communism.
Basically, the math the unions are selling is capitalism using a not-for-profit banking system. Because all the businesses I shop in require a not-for-profit banking system. A "classless society with no predotory lender class. And we all shop with a normal supply and demand math. And not veblen or griffin goods supply and demand math.
Because crony capitalism is an oxymoron.
"Capitalism" is the math of normal supply and demand using a not-for-profit banking system.
"Crony capitalism" is basically using a for-profit banking system. Turning the normal supply and demand math into griffin goods supply and demand math. Or even veblen goods supply and demand.
Because "capitalist" is an adjective. Not a noun. "Crony capitalists" are two opposite adjectives. Making it an oxymoron. The narcissist is turning capitalist into a noun.
The middle of the big X in normal supply and demand is a classless society, with no veblen goods class - misunderstood as communism.
"Supply and demand" is a math formula, AKA capitalism. It's a math formula where the better product and services capitalize. It must be functional from a not-for-profit banking system. And "tax the rich" as a fine if anyone thinks otherwise.
It doesn't trickle-down between the classes in crony capitalism. So stop with that type of classes.
Trickle-down economics is building a supply line of luxury cars first. For the upper class (the cult leaders). Then, using the profits from the luxury car to build a worker's car second. This is not the very left side of the normal supply and demand math chart. Thus, the "rich" (or cult leaders) do not understand how this math works. This incorrect math is named veblen goods supply and demand or even griffin goods supply and demand.
The very left side of the math chart is when products first come to the market, they are super expensive. Then, as the supply side later catches up. Thus meetimg in the middle of the big X. Everyone can afford this product and services. For example, when flat screen TVs first came out, they were stupid expensive. After a while, this sector of the market eventually came to the big center x of the math chart, and everybody was able to afford a flat screen tv. In a classless society.
When flat screens first came out, and they were very expensive. This was not trickle-down economics. But normal supply and demand math.
The better pay "trade" unions would shop on the let side of the math chart of normal supply and demand. And the unskilled workers buy the product and services in the middle of the big x.
Veblen goods supply and demand are exploiting the mental illness of narcissism for profits. And this class society is unacceptable.
The margins on the left side of the griffin goods and veblen goods supply and demand math chart are being counted twice. Thus, it doesn't trickle down. The margins are being counted twice by the narcissist who thinks capitalism is a noun. Thus turning the normal supply and demand math into veblen goods supply and demand math.

HUAC was a creation of the Roosevelt administration. They originally looked for right wing threats to the US, such as Fascists (there was an actual coup attempt planned in the interwar period that came close to taking place). Nazis and their sympathizers as well as the KKK were all investigated by HUAC before the start of the Cold War. Among those working for HUAC at that time was an actual communist (sorry, I don’t have his name handy). Now, imagine what would happen should HUAC be revived in this age, but dominated by Progressives that include communist sympathizers, Cultural Marxists and fellow travellers? They’re already calling for re-education camps and wanting to criminally charge people for perceived opinions, such as believing there was election fraud in the last federal election. I doubt they’d shrink from abusing their power and letting it get out of control, in a manner not unlike the French Revolution.

Dave Hilberman, the animators' union assistant who began organising the strike in the Disney studio in 1941, by his own admission was a Communist party member, who had even travelled to Russia. The FBI investigated and discovered that Willaim Pomerace, the union's business manager, was also "one of the leading Communists in the movie industry", and their investigation concluded that when the strike began, the union had followed the Communist party line from Moscow. Remember, in those days the USSR was running its 'Comintern' organisation, with cells worldwide, whose express purpose was to spread communism by taking over the leadership of trade union movements and hijacking labour disputes to attempt to overthrow democracy. Although Stalin finally dissolved the organisation in 1943 to appease his WW2 allies, the activities continued in secret. Turned out Walt was right.

I guess McCarthyism isn't taught in American schools anymore, most the comments here are absolutely without context to the contemporary of Walt and his business. He was sent to testify there as a member of the MPAPAI, from which he shortly after distanced himself. He testified to what he believed and was wrong for it, but it didn't provide proof for other allegations made against him. Most weren't flattering or insensitive by current day beliefs. Unions didn't always play nice either.
Walt's views and insensitivities at the time weren't that different from others within the industry. All-in-all he ended up signing with the NLRB union and rehired most of the striking employees on equal pay. Walt did hold grudges against unions after and against some individuals but it is somewhat understandable in context.
Neal Gabler wrote a whole book on it, Disney War, go read that and read up on McCarthyism.

Disney's workers were already unionized. Herbert Sorrell showed up with his Conference of Studio Unions (which was a Communist front; Sorrell himself was not a Communist, but he still did their bidding in exchange for their funds, meaning the CSU did have Communist ties), and the CSU attempted to strong-arm Disney's cartoonists union into joining under their umbrella against their will.
The cartoonists went to Disney and begged him to do something, because they knew the CSU was a Communist front and did not want to join under any circunstancies, and Disney granted his animators' wish and testified against Sorrell and the CSU in this video we are commenting under. Sorrell later tried to retaliate against Disney by running a smear campaign that spread a false rumor that Disney was an antisemite.

A fun fact: The creator of Goofy (and Geppetto), Art Babbitt, was one of the only high-level animators to stand with Disney's poorer employees during the union strike, feeling it to be his moral duty. Walt at one point nearly came to blows with Art, and to his dying days insisted that he'd always hated Goofy and Goofy was the worst of all the Disney characters.
Walt Disney was changed by the strike. Though originally a soft liberal, he steadily went further and further right-wing over the course of his life, helped along by a professional union buster for an attorney who encouraged the shift. The strike turned him bitter and hateful, even though it would have been better if he'd just given them a few concessions from the beginning.
And remember, the employees had some legitimate demands. They were worked in bad conditions, for unhealthy hours, and often for pretty shit pay if they weren't one of Walt's friends. They often didn't even get credited. If they made a mistake, they had to fix it all by themselves, and they weren't paid for that time-even though mistakes are inevitable when you're being worked that hard in a field like animation! Very basic requests were ignored by Walt Disney, forcing them to resort to the strike. At that time, animation heads like Walt were often very hostile to unionization, preferring a paternalistic "I take care of my people and they do as I say" approach. Some were kind, like, I believe, Fleischer, who was never resented by his workers even as he fought viciously against them. Some, like Walt, quickly lost all the goodwill they'd earned.
In the end, his brother literally had to trick him out of the country so the company and the union could cut a deal, because Disney's rage at that point was to the point where he might sooner destroy the company than give those who had "betrayed" him a single cent. Towards the end, Walt was not that dissimilar from our parents and grandparents who have become addicted to Fox News and avoid all other news sources. It's sort of sad, really. Disney paid his workers a pittance per painstaking painting, and nothing if they made a mistake and had to redo it. And that's if you were lucky enough to be a man. He hated the unions demanding fair wages and wanted badly to hurt them. He also received huge government bailouts making racist propaganda during WW2, by the way, so he suffered zero consequences for any of it.
"The poor employees bullied this multi-millionaire by asking for a raise and health care and job security" are you feeling okay, my dudes?

But a hot take: Even if there were communists and socialists in the union, this was wrong. "They hold an economic ideology that distrusts millionaires but might not work in practice" is not grounds to destroy anyone's life. What you're seeing here is America in the throws of capitalist proto-fascism, with rich employers throwing their unruly employees to the wolves so they can pay the others next-to-nothing.
The Right claims to worry about freedom of speech for hatespeech and death threats to minorities, but the second it's someone just thinking, "I don't think big corporations can be trusted to treat their community well unless they're democratically run", it's all fair game.
