In my opinion, after watching that show, I believe the parents let the spoiled rotten bully brat Mason who ALWAYS got his way and NEVER got punished feel guilty about the way they raised him. I feel they feel responisble for how he turned out. Mason shot his sister in the head and chest 5 times and claimed it was an accident for 10 years he held on to his lies. Mason was 20 just out of prison and Jennifer his sister was 18. He shot her and planned on shooting and killing his parents

I agree completely. The only thing Mason said about his sister was how upset he'd be now if he gets sick because he hasn't a sister to nurse him like the aunts helped with his dad. Then tells his mum, straight up, when ye die i'll be on my own 😂 sociopath and psychopath. Me, me, me. Hope he's still locked up.

The son likely has personality disorders. The parents could have noticed this gave him mental health counseling at an earlier age. I don't believe the parents actually raised him to commit murder, rather he was just predisposed mentally to carry it out.

Mason claims he accidentally shot his sister THREE times? Okay: no red flags there. Also, Mom works in mental health: is she familiar with the term denial? Because it's not just a river in Egypt. The parents seem like nice folks, but they don't want to look at the truth: their son is a sociopath who murdered his sister, their other child. I cannot imagine living in their shoes.

Mason was jealous of his 18 year old sister, she never got into trouble and made good grades.
He was always in trouble , the night he murdered her, he got a horse out and road it through town then hid in a barn until they found him. then lie lie lie deny and lie some more

This murder was deliberate, he is evil, pure evil. The parents coddled him too much. He should have gotten help when he was stealing things. He's a psychopath and his story of the murder is bullshit. He should be in prison FOREVER. And he totally ruined his parent's life. Rot in jail...

This guy is a monster. His parents, especially his mother,. I think his Dad’s illness is a direct result of his sons actions. The Will is so telling. How can the parents be so blind.

I just saw this on Amazon that son will probably try to kill them when he gets out. OMG 😳 what a nice jail. He is not sorry for killing his sister he sorry he didn't finish the parents as well, his whole facial expressions that I saw he was annoyed by the whole situation with them the camera people the jailers he is doing whatever he has to do so he can get out of jail. I got son's and a daughter I love my kids and grandkids I can forgive them for anything they did but I wouldn't be doing the things his parents were doing no that murderer wouldn't get me as an audience he got it good in jail and with them crazy.

I mean look at yourself, what would it take to make you shoot and kill your younger sibling at age 18, and also plan to kill your own parents for money, what kind of monster does that? What would make a person so selfish? I'm sure he was born a bouncing baby boy once upon a time, now he is pure selfish evil, Me me lets talk about me. How about me. me. What you did for parenting in his past is as wrong as what you do today, I just hope it helps you two parents out, I hope he rots

Hi Sparklerocks (clever username by the way, very intelligent), my name is Jes Jenkins and I am first cousins to Mason and Jennifer, niece to Brian and Leslie. While I agree with some of the comments you made in regards to Mason, you have no absolute right to comment on how Brian and Leslie raised their children, nor how they cope with a situation that is nothing more than an outright tragedy. Mason is sociopathic and that is not something that any amount of good parenting can help nor prevent, and having grown up around their home I can tell you first hand they were loving caring and overall great parents. As for how they are doing now, they are doing the best they can with what they had left. They didn't lose just one of their children but both of them. This was also one of the biggest crimes to happen in our home town and as a result many of the community and even their friends had pulled away from the horrific situation. They had nothing. And judging by your comments in reference to god, you can surely understand their reasoning for choosing forgiveness which is after all, a religious and holy practice. They chose to forgive and attempt to mend their family the best that they could. Since your comments and knowledge of the situation Is clearly solely based of this poorly produced production which catered almost solely to the façade of Mason's innocence, I suggest attempt with what ever small number of brain cells you have left and try to put yourself in their shoes and keep your egotistical, half brained, and frankly ignorant and unwanted comments to your damn self.

According to previously published reports, Jenkins attended the funeral of his father in 2016 during a visit that was kept out of the public eye.
He was transported in a Correctional Service Canada van with dark-tinted windows, which was driven into the garage of a Chatham funeral home. The garage door was closed so his entrance and exit could not be seen by the general public.
However, when he was in town in 2013 to pay final respects to his paternal grandmother, he was walked into a funeral home in handcuffs and shackles in full view of those in the area, accompanied by two armed Correctional Service Canada guards.

He has destroyed his father, the mom is tougher, she will probably do better. If I were the parents I would worry more about his soul then I would his comfort on earth, and to stand by that egospongehungry thing is not to help his soul move on. Earth is but a pit stop, I think they should reject him to help him start to turn towards who it really matters, GOD. This Mason baby narcissist just loves all thee attention he can get .
and feels he deserves it too, he is the victim, just ask him

Yeah. I'm just into this and already KNOW, he's lying. There was deff more going on in that family. He looks evil, hateful, a jealous type.
Perhaps he did love his sister like crazy, but also, extremely jealous of her.
Because i feel IF Mason sincerely and wholeheartedly loved his sister, the way their parent's claim, and Mason and Jennifer were truly tight like that, an "unbreakable bond", Mason could not, would not have killed her. In Cold Blood. His story is Bull SHIT

I totally buy his story. I think he accidentally shot his sister in the head. Then because he concerned about the pain she was in, shot her 3 more times while aiming for the heart. I don't know why anyone finds this story hard to believe.

I think his mother did it and I think he’s mad at her for taking the blame and that’s why he’s so miserable while visiting with his parents he resents them but . For some reason he chooses to keep there secret . I don’t think he killed his sister and I definitely don’t think he wrote that will . Watch again and really pay attention . When he speaks his mother interrupted him as if to correct him from saying the wrong thing . He’s innocent
