Winter camping in minus conditions

- In this video i hike for 2 hours to find a camping spot. I finnally found a place to hammock camp so i set up the onewind hammock and tarp deep into the high forest on the hills. I collected fire wood with my silky saw big boy and started a fire with my fero rod for the night ahead to keep me warm as temperatures were going to get down to minus 3. The stars were out on full force as it was a clear sky and i got an amazing timelapse of the stars on video. I drank a couple of indian pale ales by the fire before cooking a steak over the fire and getting cosy for the night in the dark forest. I hope you all enjoy the video. Thanks.
Gear i used in this video was the onewind 11' tarp and onewind 11' hammock with the onetigris twilight trekker underquilt and an oex leviathan down sleeping bag and that kept me warm all night.

Good to see you back at it Sam 👍 That steak was mental. I do like the one wind 11ft, although I've always thought it was 12ft 🤷🏼♂️ I keep my hammock and underblanket as one... I just put it all in a bigger stuff sack...saves time on set up. Yeah you can't beat the Leviathan 900 for warmth although I got the Mrs to get mine washed and dried at the cleaners and it's lost the feathers from near the bottom!! Must be a hole between the baffles and the feathers have moved up into the others. LOL Great set up, fantastic views. Enjoyed 👍
Thanks lee. The leviathon loses alot of feathers you wake up covered in them. Yea mines is 11ft but im sure you donhet a 12 ft one aswell. Thanks for wacthing mate. ATB.

I had a weird dream last time I was out in the hammock . I dreamt a fox had jumped in beside me , at first I was wary then realised he was really warm , so I snuggled up to him . When I woke up I was disappointed he wasn't there 😂 anyways good to see you out , good wee video 👍🏕

Ive hammock camped in the forest there. Like you say theres big sections full of fallen trees. Makes you think about where to set up

No mate. I'm from the midlands and don't get up to Scotland often. it's just crappy overnighters locally. Mainly. Did a week in the area of the video last november. It was great
