  • It's nice to revisit the great Yamaha PSR-EW400. The sampling feature of the PSR-EW410 decisively trumped the 400, equipped only with its synth engine. But what a great synth engine it is for the price! Nice key action too. Good work Yamaha :)

    Yeah, I really REALLY need to NOT ignore the modern keyboards I see for sale at the fleamarkets when I visit Florida..

    This is not just a 76key version of the 61key PSR E4x3, in addition it has 12w x2 amplifier too!

    Isn’t that keyboard 🎹 more akin to the DJX?

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  Před rokem +2

      Hmm not really, I'd say the PSR-E463 is much closer to DJX-style functionality.

    I've connected the keyboard to my mac (for logic pro) via the USB port. How do I turn local off so the sound isn't doubled ??

    • @gearfacts

      Press FUNCTION repeatedly until the right option appears on the screen

    Can I use it as midi keyboard ?

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  Před měsícem +2

      You can use USB midi direct to a computer, but if you want to connect directly to other instruments you’ll need a converter, I recommend the Do-Re-Midi which I’ve also reviewed.

    Thanks. Can't wait for the psr-ew420. Meanwhile if you can review the Korg Kross 2 that will be great.

    Great work, glynn.. you are a better demo man than most of those super big time guys...so the dynamic controllers function as a mixer??

    • @gearfacts
      @gearfacts  Před 3 lety

      Thanks JK: There's no mixer function on the dynamic controls, they only do effects really. Good idea though :)

    I have the PSR e463 and other Pro Synths... The EW410 has more Keys, L/R out, more sampling zones, Better Sounding Piano and "Louder" Speakers... Waiting for the PSR E420 and/or PSR E473 to come out 😀😲

      Many of them are sounds that I made up myself using the options in the function menu. I haven't got those sounds anymore, but this video shows how it's done (it's the same on the 410 as it is on the 400) czcams.com/video/dBLApEoRTU8/video.html
