This happens when you launch a race, do a few laps and then restart and wait like 60 seconds. Jobs will suddenly fill up with randoms because Rockstar think you've been waiting for people to join too long.
Lobbies tend to fill up if you start a race when the session is open, complete a run, then replay. It throws that session into the pool of available races so when people search for a job, it'll throw them into that race.
Its useful whenever me and my friends try to do my "suicide race" and we need to get players in for it.

To this day I still cannot explain why the majority of the GTA community cannot drive a car. It's not like it's really hard or anything GTAV's cars are a lot easier to drive compared to a lot of other racing games out there so it should be easy but apparently not.
most people who play GTA barely have an active cerebellum, they can’t even press a button and use the analog stick at the same time, throw them in any other game but GTA and they’d probably fail miserably

I once beat a level like 300 something in a race because of how much they sucked (I was level like 27 and it was a non contact race so he couldnt have been knocked around) And you're right, you just need to get used to the cars traction and the weight and you should be good to go with driving it

AspLode dont forget that the dlc update wasnt to long ago. So most modmenus on pc dont work anymore
It's not as common as you may think, this happened to me only 3 or 4 times out of 200 public lobby races that I played
first mod menu on pc and ban protection came out the next day after the update

Wow... xxHristoffxx best lap 02:25.754 In a Buccaneer Custom.. I would like to point out that Broughy got a time of 02:26.212 in a Rhino tank.. Broughy got a time of 02:14.434 on a Fixter. That's a bicycle and not even the fastest one and he still beat him by over 11 seconds..
Non-contact is the only way to public lobby race. Made the mistake of trying to do some of the Hotring races with randoms today, total shitshow. Most of the time, if they're not trying to spin you out, they go backwards because they're so inept at driving cleanly.
I find that contact Hotring races make it less predictable who will win. I have been 1st one whole lap, 6st another and finishing as 3rd. It adds tension, in my personal opinion.
Besides, the Hotring tracks are so wide most of the time, that you can easily predict where the noobs and griefers create choke-points and avoid them.
Of course, non-contact shows who can and can't follow race lines or who has no control of their car, as I once won a Super race with my Bullet when my opponents drove Zentorno's and T20's.
primeoetgrunn - on some tracks, griefer choke points are unavoidable, especially if the mental midgets work in teams. I enjoy good competition but public races are so hit and miss (pun intended).
Ktoto Tamskij - If roadblocks were meant to be there, they would have been designed into the track so dildo players who think they're funny wouldn't have to block the road themselves.

Can’t keep a Blade and a Gauntlet in a straight line but will comment saying that the Carbonazi is the fastest sports car because the ingame stats tells you that.

You should do a Races with Randoms mini series. Contact, catch up, slipstream, the whole 9 yards, just for shits and giggles.
In hindsight, it would have been extremely funny if you had waited until being lapped at the start and then went, to see whether you could still win.

Though it does help broughy you've raced this track hundreds of times. I haven't done much in the classic style street racing since the PS3 days (and a few events on PS4), I got into stunt racing and never really looked back. But I remember racing this track back in the day, and not really being fond of of it to be honest.
Now granted I highly doubt any random would beat you regardless, I'm just saying that you knowing every turn certainly helps.
I can see you were holding back hoping for a real race in the first lap, then it seems there was a realization that it would be faster just to play the race.

A good portion of these people are low levels, too. You have to remember that not everybody playing the game is a high level player who has been playing GTA since the game came out nor do they do races all the time like Broughy.

It's like they're missing their brain or something.
