Thank you so much for this, I drive a 1999 Honda Civic and the panel looks just like that one (before the change) and the gear shift's button completely popped off today, so gonna try replacing it with a universal shift knob + adapter. Thanks for the informative video, it seems like a much less intimidating and daunting task now.
watching this cuz im too broke for a manual swap
Rucky rucky mee, someone left their dawgs out. Real talk, this is the most useful video I've found for my cb7 and I've watched like a dozen videos
That looks so much better than the automatic setup..
Thanks! Just what I am looking for
thank you for making this video
Can I leave out the rubber piece if it doesn’t fit anyways ?
Good video. Can’t fault it at all. Music is good as well.
so does this work with the integras or nah??
So I'm about to do this same thing to mine, but my shift knob that I got. Cause mines an automatic to, my shift knob didn't come with a button on top like your aftermarket one did, do I need that press button still?? It came with the shift knob/adapters(mine)
What happens when the screws don’t go all the way in? Does it mean it’s no good? 😩
Sure people might make fun of you and be all “shoulda got a stick” but to be honest the shifter in my accord is just bulky and want something sleeker
Nice. Where you got the leather?
No shift interlock? My 98 Acura is the same
Can you provide a link with the stuff
what about the overdrive button?
side push knob auto can use push down knob auto?
Yup. The side button really just activates a lever that pushes the rod straight down.
Where to find those things?
Where can I get the stuff at??
Lodi pwede kaya yan sa with overdrive?
If you do this what happens when you want to put it in d3 don’t you need to press the button?
LMAO mine definitely moves without the button
we have the red H logo shift knob for automatic civic.. check our video
For the people who don't drive stick but want to look like you drive stick lol 😆
Best alternative. I have a manual Camaro and an auto mitsubishi. I am putting a racing seat, steering wheel w/ quick release, and a shifter in the mitsubishi
Lol 😂. I just got such a good deal on an 08 auto wrx and I couldn’t turn it down. I’m gonna pimp the fucker and drive it until it’s paid off. Then I will use it as a commuter car and buy an 05 sti for my weekend warrior to smash some rpms for real 🐗
I think more people should learn to drive a manual trans. It’s a good skill and it carries over to dirt biking and other such activities. Having a clutch gas balance is an underrated skill in today’s age. For a 23 year old I sound like an old fucking man lol
My opinion is a low key black ball shifter knob is the cleanest. I have seen some samurai sword ones as well as other large shifters. I think that’s silly and looks way overdone. Simple is elegant in my opinion.
I like this dudes choice but I think black or grey is always the move. It goes with everything and is basic as fuck

OMG how long is he going to mess with the pleats !?!?!?!
When I remove my knob, the middle rod comes out with it & I’m left with a hallow cylinder 🤔 installed without the rod & lets me shift/drive/park fine, just won’t “lock” & let me take key out of ignition. Any advice?
Is your car a Honda Civic?
@@dannilo3209 What I did for another universal shift knob was I removed the fuse (either fuse 25 or 35, I can't remember), and that made it to where I was able to remove the key with my custom shift knob screwed inq
Baka may link ka boss san ka nakabili nyan :)
Why 😆 dude I drive a 97 accord special edition automatic. Don't be ashamed of what you drive. I'll be more ashamed if my friends found out my car was really automatica then manual by doing this lol. Just keep it OEM 💯 👌 😌
Changing a shift knob has nothing to do with owning a manual or automatic. That's a dumb outdated logic it's literally a cosmetic install
I changed mine because it gives the car a better look than my ugly old oem shift knob. Which is why most ppl change theirs as well
Most automatic modern cars have shift boots on the gear shift anyway.
boss san ka nakabili ng shift knob na ganto. Palitan ko din sana ung akin. TIA
Shopee lang paps!!
I got it on, but my key won’t come out
Because its not in park or P
Ohh trust me it was in park
The shift knob had a lock when u put it in park u prob but the shift knob to low and is not going all the wast thru the lock take it off and re adjust

I don’t understand why almost every Honda owner dose stupid mods like this. If you want it to look like a manual then spend the time and make it a manual. Those Honda automatic transmission are crap and holing you back anyways so just ditch it. Spend a Saturday and swap it, you won’t regret it.
Bruh just convert it to manual if u gone do that ain’t nothing wrong with auto but why front like u drive stick
Not exactly a front of you can easily see it’s a auto, stick shift knobs just look better, let’s be honest
@@sopht.1349 okay but the reason they look like that is because they have a lockout system which is important to not going into reverse on the highway at 80mph
Well ya see if I could I would but I ain't got money like that
@@psychosis9282 Honda transmissions barely cost more than a decent shift knob tbh
@@mcheeb8256 well you need more then just the trans to swap it
