Could you do a video on common changes fans would want or even you would want. What ifs such as digimon that should be different levels (angewomon - champion to match angemon) digivolutions in the wring order (like swap phoenixmon and Garudamon). Digivolutions that should be linked to certain digimon but aren't or even story ideas that just never quite happened. It could be your thoughts on fan suggestions or even your own suggestions. I just think it would be a cool topic 😊

The Gaomon concept art looks like they were going for a Raiju inspired digimon, though honestly Garurumon kinda has that covered, including the striped look. Raiju is thunder beast that often has a dog/wolf or tiger-wolf type look, and it seems to represent nasty lightning strikes. The drum around the neck is like the drums that accompany Raijin, the japanese thunder god.
It's a Wadaiko, they come in various sizes and have been involved in Japanese culture for centuries. I should research more but, I assume the drums symbolise the sound of Thunder hence why most people correlate them to Raijin. Again, that's just a thought.
I think zexmon would of been perfect for tri. Instead of it being the data of apochlymon make zex mon the remnants of diaboromon taking over imperialdramon. Simialr to the "evil" imperialdramon in Tri.

I know one of the original concepts for Frontier had the Lonewolf character as a girl, but this was changed so as to not look like a copy of Tamers
That concept art of Chakmon that looks much more like Garurumon has me convinced that the design was retconned into Wolfmon/Lobomon as the Warrior of Light when the decision to make the Lonewolf a girl was dropped.
D'Arcmon/Hippogriffmon was in some of the original concepts fod Frontier, too, I believe, which also lends some credibility to the idea that the concept of a female Lonewolf was originally the Warrior of Light, while the Garurumon-like Digimon was the Warrior of ice.
And, not going to lie, I wish we'd gotten that version.
I must admit that the one of Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode and Armagemon Definitely surprised me and now I really want it to be an official fusion between them 🤩
Same imperialdramon and alforcevedramon still remain my favorites

I would have been fine with a number of these beta designs being the final forms. It would be neat to see them as alternate digimon or eveloution.
i really want to see the spadamon variants. those legendary arms digimon look awesome. the centaur in the frontier would look nice as a alter evo for kudamon and the bolgmon look amazing. but maybe the yellow one should be linked to honeybeemon. the switchover mons could be a form for monitamon. the masterdramon could be a counterpart for gaiomon.
I never quite liked Omnimon's design it just feels incomplete. So loved seeing some of the concepts for omnimon

@@Karn_EX the one thing omnimon does right is that it feels like a new digimon. Rather than a merge of 2 as looking at the concepts wargreymon always takes centrestage. But i think with omnimon they are meant to be equal

Looks like a Raijin like Taiko drum around Gaomon's collar. Tho their drums usually have 3 curved Magatama like shapes to Gaomon's 2.

I think the Drum around ProtoGaomon is used in ceremonies and similar occasions and it's the same type of drum as Dondokomon(Taiko I want to say)
That was kinda where my head was at but given the variety of ceremonial drums I'm not knowledgeable enough to have picked one haha thanks!

And it's always fun seeing these Digimon designs and the process they went through.
The symbol on gaomon's early design is called a tomoe. It has some importance in the shinto religion that i don't know much of. The most notable interpretation of this symbol might be the sharingan. Also doggo's design has a lot of resemblance to amaterasu from the game okami, so maybe there's something about dogs/wolves and shinto gods but i'm not sure

Holy shit, those Omegamon designs look amazing!! Also, it suddenly occurs to me, between that Eldradimon concept and the poster on Gennai's wall, that at least someone behind Digimon is clearly a massive Discworld fan!
And age check? I remember seeing in the millenium in the pub at the bar that would later be used for the Denton Arms in A Touch of Frost with David Jason, much of which was later filmed in Leeds like a lot of other stuff!
i think Masterdramon could be reworked as an evolution of MasterTyrannomon. i'd also like to see one of those Omegamon concepts redone as a ZeedGarurumon/VictoryGreymon fusion

Ever since I saw DarkVolumon I wanted there to be a middle ground design between Ballistamon and DarkVolumon, and it seems like HeraVolumon might be the closest thing we get, and I think I'm OK with that.

It just looks like Dorulumon with more Garurumon emphasis.
Not that I have a problem with that.
He kinda strikes me as a more rebellious, lone wolf version of Dorulumon, (more so than the shades wearing Bagra Army/Pre Cutemon Dorulumon) That would fight only for himself and only follow orders if they benefit him.
He also looks like he could evolve into MadLeomon or MachLeomon, which I kinda like. Maybe MachLeomon evolved from this version of Dorulumon?

I see him as a Weapon Arms digimon that hasn't developed its to enter weapon mode without XrosFusing with other digimon. But he could get somewhere as he evolves.

Risegryemon has always been my favorite Digimon so it's cool the one who made it made also the great Fanbeemon line and Zexmon looks so cool!!! OMG like I am a massive fan of the second Diaboramon movie and most of that comes down to Armageddemon and Imperialdramon's epic battle especially the ending of the fight with Paladin Mode. So seeing a fusion of it is so cool!
Zexmon as a villain or out of left field team up jogress for a game or tv show would be super neat
I’m gonna be honest, I would 100% be down for more Concept Videos. I adore this type of content and leaning about what could have been and what could still be. I’ve never sees those Spadamon Concepts, and as someone who loves Knight imagery, I am ashamed in myself for not knowing about them. I seriously wanna try cleaning up a few of those and making them OC Digimon. They look…so good.
Also. I say this as a half joke and half serious. With how Time After Time has been working lately, I would not be surprised if one of these concepts end up being reused for the 25th Anniversary Digimon. I mean wouldn’t complain about it, but I would also laugh so hard.

Well Karn's already done a video about giving Dark Spirits to the 5 Good Elements, it only makes sense that he do one to create Good Spirit Evolutions for the Villainous characters!
12:13 you know I did an art that look almost similar to this concept. I was wanting to create an original inspiration of Omegamon. The helmet and body were slightly similar but different, the hands where those of arm weapons you know like tactical gauntlets and steampunk gun arms. I must say these concepts look good, I hope they'll have purpose in the future of digimon.

Thats actually cool now. In Cybersluthe, Nokia 1st calls Omni(Omega)mon "Garurugreymon". Though Nokia was just being..well Nokia, but it was actually a reference to the Concept name.
I know I'm a year late, but I remember when we had a digibox, a receiver for digital broadcasts that could then output that to a regular old analog crt... The first ones we had were made by Nokia, because Finland. They didn't have any fancy features... I can't even remember if they had the card slot for the cards that let you access subscription channels... They must have, I don't think we got MTV3 Max etc. (who remembers THAT, and not it doesn't mean MusicTV like the US MTV, it stands for Mainostelevisio, meaning commercial television, as it was the first commercial channel in Finland and got channel slot 3) that late...
It's been close to ten years at least since we got digital tv... If not longer... On cable they could switch easily, but we lived in an area where there was only over the air broadcast and as such we got access to dtv later.

The beta Kumamon, Zexmon, and the turtle digimon with a signal tower on its back are my favorites of this bunch. They are just cool and I wish we could have got them at some point. The beta Kumamon would have made a better hybrid digivolution than daipenmon that's for sure.
I have this complete and unbridled hatred for Daipenmon. It is such a departure from the other hybrids and doesn't take anything from Chackmon or Blizzarmon.
The reason why the slime for monzaemon x is now pink is because Numemon x is pink aswell, it makes sense. I just wish they'd kept the extra eyes
The bond of courage and friendship evolutions should have been fusions with Matt and Tai. I will never change my mind.

I think the drum on the neck of Beta Gaomon is... Well a drum. It has a symbol relating to Raijin the japanese thunder God. And yes they probably were going for a motif of those dogs with the Brandi barrel on their necks, but changed it.
Oooh I could really see the big turtle with the broadcasting tower on its back being an Eldoradimon mode change, or at least a similar idea, for a "Modern/Future mode" with the current version of Eldoradimon being the "ancient mode".

Hm, how very interesting, i would really like to see more of these and would’ve also liked to see these fully realized.
Speaking of Kizuna, Agumon says that he gets the feeling they will see each other again, and adventure 02 shows them all grown up with their digimon, so I'm thinking in a future movie or series for adventure they are reunited with their digimon partners.
These are some cool designs, do wish we got some of these over the final products. I really like that frontier armoured centaur! The slimey monzaemonX reminds me of Bugz/Bugbear from Shin Megami Tensei. I do wish someone could unearth the art for the Accel Burst modes tho, bandai plz. Also there are some Hackmon prototypes shown in one of the supplemental "15th anniversary card game returns" booklets
It's very possible the Accel Blast Modes were only ever created as sprites, it's not uncommon for games to do sprite-only art :/
to be honest, when i was still a kid, on the time when i saw omegamon's pic on the internet, i really thought that omegamon would also add parts of the other chosen children's digimon on it, cause its body aside from from its arm is just pure white (like a main frame of a gundam figure)

wanted to comment this early but got distracted by the artwork I would love a continuation/ reboot of the analogue/ digital tv Digimon could be called Terebidramon (Television in Japanese+ dramon) and is the television equivalent of shoutmon and Gatchmon maybe with a lightning blast.
The next one would be the dragon turtle with the tower or Eiseidramon (satellite in Japanese + dramon) and its vast size allows it to create a digital shell from its satellite as well as listen in to enemy communication.
Next, I'm thinking of something similar to the soundwave satellite design from transformers, Transmishmon (Transmission) a large mechanical wyvern whose frequency freakout screech is perfect for disorienting.
Finally a Digimon similar in concept to Terebidramon where he can use different film/ tv genres as mode changes or weapons maybe Captain Eigamon (Captain+ Film in Japanese) or simply Eigamon
Holy shit ALL OF THEM LOOK GOOD (expect for 2:15 too pokemon-ish)
The Pulsemon concept ties more easily into Shroudmon which is fun

Spadamon to me, always looked like it was supposed to be a trio with lunamon and coronamon
