Driving On WA SR-27 North In 1983 (Pullman)

Back in 1983, The Washington State Department of Transportation drove North on SR-27 and recorded video to document the highway. This was part of a project that photographed/videotaped the states highways every couple of years. This video now resides at The Washington State Archives who were kind enough to share it.

Interesting to compare the mileage sign at 2:04 from 40 years back, to today (2023). The distance to Spokane has increased by six miles; either the highway was realigned or the city center moved six miles further away since WSDOT measures to the center of the city. Probably the latter.
