I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.
What sound mode/EQ are you using with each? I've heard the RK7 and it sounds much better than what your demo is showing. Best Buy has the RK7 right now for under $200.
Hey man I got a problem with my partybox 300. Every time when I charge it up it only charges up to the 3rd LED it never charges up 5th LED. Any reason why my speaker does this and a solution to fix it?
It sounds like a bad cell in the battery, which unfortunately means replacing the battery completely. You might try leaving it charging quite a bit longer than normal and see if the cell will balance, but this in itself can be dangerous with a faulty battery.
Now again for all: My friend owned a PB 300 an i bought a Rk7. The"bass blast" just lowers mids and treble to got more power for the bass. And it sets more power to upper base and less to the lower. But it has an personal eq inbuild. Set the Bass to +3 mids 0 and treble to +4 and it Sounds like the partybox. From my opinion for outdoors: Bass Max Mid +1 Treble +4 Indoors: Bass 0/-1 Mids+1 Treble+3 The eq goes up to plus 5 (Max) And down to minus 5 (min) The base boost on the jbl gets lost on full Volume. Its just for lower levels. LG got like 2 db louder (not that much) But if you want download a bass boost app and u got way more bass from the LG with clear treble. Set it to 60-70% to avoid Distortion or loudness Drops. Does not work that well with the jbl. Except from this the LG has a qualcomm hd audio chip wich allows you to stream music in original Cd Quality. And it has a lot more nice features.
@@sonny9546 i did not really measured Thema. Outdors on maximum volume , the lg sounds a little (Really just really a little) Louder. But it could be that this is just because it's full directionall with the bass reflex on the front and not at the back like the Jbl. But Really...for arround 100€ more for the JBL... Its not worth it.
Some information after a few months of use: The basd blasst mode is better when you have more than 50% Volume. Then it gets more lower an upper Bass as the personal EQ. It sems that the personal eq is just for indoor listening.
it's that infamous lack of midrange on the lg. Sony has the same problem. I just got a LG ok75, it's only 50 bucks more than the Partybox 300 and it's a 1000 watts with two mids, two tweets and an 8 inch woofer. The thing is wicked loud and it shakes the house. I'd love to see a comparison between the OK75 and the PArtybox.

I just bought the LG RK7, played it at home for about 1/2 hour. I advise anybody getting it or similar speakers to buy them locally so you can take it back easily, if you buy online get "free returns". Why? I watched about 50 of these vids, none of them convey how loud they seem in person, no matter how you listen to them (headphones or thru good speakers).. I have found that only certain types of music sound very loud thru them, which explains why this is the type of music they play thru them in these vids which contain allot of deep bass (dance, techno, club, rap, hip hop, and the like). So, to get to my point, the speaker does not sound 1/2 as loud as I expected it to sound, it sounds more like it is 20 watts (specs say it is 550 watts)..Yeah, My Marshall tube amp with only 30 watts thru a 2x12 or even a 2 x10 cab is about 100x as loud, so what's watts? I did try many types of music from rap to rock. I would not expect the JBL PB 300 to have much difference except for maybe tone, options, controls and style. I am looking some something LOUD, no more putzy plastic box led wonders. Mabye the ION Roadwarrior, I don't know but I'm not going to be surprised if it is only marginally louder. I hear the Soundboks are among the loudest so maybe that's where to explore, I'm not hearing it thru these. Also, when I maxed out the volume on the LG, than turned it down from my smartphone, than back to max on the phone, the speaker did not go back to max volume, it had to be turned back up on the box or else it's remote, kind frustrating if you ask me. In other words, it turned itself down on the box though I never touched it, I don't like silicone chips 2nd guessing my choices.
LG sounds very muffled compared to partybox. I’ve found the partybox sounds much better as you have it, without the bass boost on, the bass boost seems to ruin the sound slightly.
It is according to taste, the Lg does not sound bad and is a bit more direct but the JBL is just super balanced and harmonious. But the bass of the Lg, is a joke, as well as the bass boost of the JBL, I agree

If you don't need battery then the best possible sound+bass "portable" system is Panasonic SC-UA90, then SC-UA7E with incredible sound quality and 40hz bass in separated enclosure (New TMAX series are much worse). SC-UA7E have port noise above vol 35/50 which you can bybass by Bass EQ settings. UA90 has this port noise issue resolved.
Hey, your right, it is very important to listen with headphones, so I put on a good set of headphones, now I decided not to get any big bluetooth speaker, I'll just use the headphones, thanks! On a serious note, I think the JBL tone sounds more natural and un-colored, it's hard to pick the right words on how the LG sounds, it's sorta like listening to the JBL but with it inside of a big sewer pipe. Not to say the LG sounds bad, just kinda colored compared to the JBL.

Bueno yo pude compararlas en un Sam's club y puedo decir que si, la LG tiene más potencia pero nada que ver con la calidad incluso en el bajeo, además de que está JBL 300 es portátil, lo cual le quita un poco de potencia al usar una pila de por medio, aunque la conectes a la luz eso sólo sirve para cargar la pila, más no utiliza la fuente para darle potencia, en cambio la LG es necesario conectarla por lo que sus componentes pueden darle más potencia, creo que no hay algo así como la fh6 en JBL, tal vez la línea Eon pero pues se la lleva de pasada en todos los aspectos, escepto en los efectos dj y luces, en la comparación de este vídeo se ve claramente la diferencia de calidad entre las dos marcas, con características similares, y la diferencia es todavía mayor con las Sony, que hay decaído bastante.

Good, both are giving sufficient output. JBLPB300 more punch and smooth.
I closed my eyes and really concentrated on the sound. It seems to me that the sounds are more defined on the LG

Donde los comparaste? Bueno yo pude compararlas en un Sam's club y puedo decir que si, la LG tiene más potencia pero nada que ver con la calidad incluso en el bajeo, además de que está JBL 300 es portátil, lo cual le quita un poco de potencia al usar una pila de por medio, aunque la conectes a la luz eso sólo sirve para cargar la pila, más no utiliza la fuente para darle potencia, en cambio la LG es necesario conectarla por lo que sus componentes pueden darle más potencia, creo que no hay algo así como la fh6 en JBL, tal vez la línea Eon pero pues se la lleva de pasada en todos los aspectos, escepto en los efectos dj y luces, en la comparación de este vídeo se ve claramente la diferencia de calidad entre las dos marcas, con características similares, y la diferencia es todavía mayor con las Sony, que hay decaído bastante.
