Comparison well done !! i have ordered a JBL partybox 310 today and this video is so satisfying. I was in a dilema between 110 and 310. BTW, nice choice on the songs there.
When in doubt, always go more than less. That was always the motto for home subwoofers and it applies to these party speakers, as well. The Partybox 310 is a great speaker and you will really enjoy it.
bro... i bought the partybox 110 to begin with and not quiet happy with sound, then decided to switch it with 310 then solved my dilemma...
I'm looking at the 310 for my pontoon boat. Dont want to drop 1k+ for new sound system when this can do exactly what I need for only 400 bucks. and portable and no worry about boat battery.
I wish jl audio or Rockford fosgate would make speakers like this. Even deaf bonce would be sick. You cant go wrong with a JBL though.

I bought a JBL 310 recently OMG even out side put the back next to any wall and the bass is amazing
Rear ported speakers do get a bit of a boost when you have a wall behind them.
Just returned my XV800 last week. Lacks bass like the rest of the Sony line. But it does beat them all, including JBL Partyboxes, in connectivity. With the new Bluetooth 5.3, it really makes a difference.
Sorry to hear you were disappointed in the xv800. As far as connectivity goes, I have never had any issues with any Partybox speakers I have had, so not sure what that means. ☹️
@@JaysStraightUpReviews I should have been more specific. The PartyBox PB1000 has BT version 4.2, and is horrible. I manly use my speakers outside. When using TWS I can not walk more than 40-50ft away (in open sight) without loosing signal. The speakers can not be more than 30ft apart from each other without using RCA’s. Also I can’t browse on my phone while its connected to the speaker. I will get constant interruptions. The Sony line does not have these problems. I can’t speak for the other JBL Partybox’s, yet. But they should be better than the PB1000. Considering their BT version is newer than 4.2.
@@lsvtec86 the pb1000 is one of the oldest partyboxes that JBL released, it was back when 4.2 was the best bluetooth available....
when they release the 1010 it will be a different story
Could careless about 5.3 bluetooth I stay around 20 to 30 foot with my 310 with 0 problems and love it. It shits on any sony speaker out today I love my 310 and use it for when I'm working outside.

Can tell us the RMS on the lg xl7, the sony xv800 cause i may know the jbl is almost 240w total power rms
JBL lists the Partybox 310 at 240w and LG the XL7 at 250w. Sony usually doesn't disclose their power ratings on their speakers. If you do some investigative work you may be able to find it.

What Portable speaker has the best ( surface shaking ) bass, NOT sounding bass. For example. I have the original dockin d fine. If I put this on the bed even at low volume it vibrates the bed!!! It’s crazy good. I have a jbl extreme and even that don’t shake the bed. I have a PartyBox 110 at max volume that has better SOUND bass but the dockin even still beats that because it shakes the bed at any volume. W king d9 also shakes the bed. But is there any speaker that beats the dockin if it is placed on the bed or a couch and you can feel the bass Not hear the bass if you get me?? I was lookin at a mini rig subwoofer but idk if that’s good either. Could you try this test? Put it on the bed, lay on the bed, see what speaker shakes the most lol .
I have not done any bed shaking speaker tests. 😆 Generally speaking, bass you feel is below 20Hz and none of these portable speakers come close to that extension.

The Xp700 is a good speaker, but I no longer have it. I would say 200 euros would be a good deal.

You run the LDAC on the sony or no if so notice any difference?
It makes a small difference to my ears. You have to have one of the streaming services or something like that that suppoorts LDAC. I think it's a bit over-rated, IMO.

I want one mainly for karaoke. I would think less bass would be better since you don't have to fight over the bass? I was listening to the Sony at Best Buy and it had plenty of bass for me. I'm not a basshead. I didn't try out the 310 or the LG. LG's demo didn't seem to be working. Probably go back and listen to them again.
If you are an Amazon Prime member you can get the Partybox 310 for $369.95 today. As far as bass goes, never heard anybody want less bass for Karaoke. The 310 does have 3 bass settings on the speaker itself, plus the app EQ, so you can reduce bass if you want.

Well overall sound quality I think the XV800 is better than the LG XL7. The LG sounds kinda flat and is lacking in upper range detail. I still think the Partybox 310 with app EQ adjustments is the overall winner. Sony still doesn't allow you to use Mega Bass AND their app EQ. JBL does, but I often just disable bass boost and use the app EQ, just as in this video demo.
I did some more tinkering around with different music and settings and I think I would give the mid to high range advantage to the XV800. The 310, even with the app EQ treble maxed out, still doesn't have quite the clarity and detail in the upper range when compared to the XV800. This is with the XV800 using it's own app EQ. The default Mega Bass setting for the XV800 is not nearly as clear and clean sounding. I didn't like the Mega Bass mode on the XV900, either.

You wrong about the Sony xv800 and Lg XL7. I stood in front of both of them at Best Buy. I had the xv800 on 50% volume and LgXL7 on max that was no comparison. Both was plugged up.

Sony bass premium more clean , jbl sounds overwhelmed bass. Jbl after listening few minutes will definitely get a headache.
The JBL for sure has more powerful, deeper bass. Thankfully for those bass Karen's out there, you can pick from 3 levels of bass boost (Off, punchy, deep) and can also adjust the bass in the app EQ. If that's still to overwhelming and Karen gets a headache, then by all means, get the Sony. You'll never get a bass headache with Sony. 😂

It's treble gets too harsh & I gave it for jbl service, now it's over 3 months didn't get the speaker back. When I call them they're telling parts not available. JBL Very poor service in India. When comes to sound Sony looks for more immersive relaxed sound. But JBL is too energetic .
@@Tomacq sorry to hear you had issues with your Encore Essential. The Encore, nearly the same speaker, is one of my favorites. Did you adjust the treble down in the JBL app? I've never had any issues with harsh treble from the Enccre or the Essential model. So I guess Sony is for lazy people and JBL is for those who are active? 😲

The best sound I heard from a headphones is Sony. From old age I love sony. Before Bluetooth speakers old cd deck systems & Walkman phones, discman. Everything is good old memories. Anyway I'm a farmer, it's so hard to earn money. I love quality music after all work tired. For that Sony's sound is best 😂 , I don't have energy to jump. You know it. Any your reviews are the best perfect sound samples of the speakers.

I'm listening to this through my Sony XB910N headphones. The JBL 310's bass is definitely stronger than the LG XL7.
Sony makes better headphones than speakers. The XB910N's bass sounds like you have two 15" subs in your ears and the bass goes all the way down to 20HRZ.
Bass sis MUCH easier to produce from headphones than big Bluetooth speakers.
@@JaysStraightUpReviews I totally agree the bass from my headphones sounds deeper and richer than a 12-inch sub. I think it has something to do with the airtight seal around the ear cups.

Lg sounds muffled
The LG does have a warmer sound, but I don't find it muffled. I increase the treble in the XBOOM app and it helps give it a little detail in the upper range.
