This totally saved me today
I was thinking the same, man I was like do I put the stuffing in dry or already mixed up this vid did just that.
Martha's basting liquid is perfection. I love it! And I love that it doesn't require exotic ingredients that I might forget to purchase before the big day. Thank you, Martha!
I like Martha Stewart fine recipes and decorations
You make it look so easy 🤗
We used this recipe and also injected the bird with Tony's Creole butter. This was the best turkey I have ever had and I'm 52. Writing this recipe to always have on hand! Thanks Martha!!!
Classic recipes, thanks martha!
Thank you Martha ❤
Ty Martha, for stuffing your turkey! Just how mom & I make it!
Thank you Martha that’s just the way I do it but in my stuffing I put, gizzards and hamburger and some Italian sausage that taste good. Of Course I put celery, onions, bread stuffing, olives add the juice from the Turkey neck. It’s AWESOME!!!!!!🦃🦃 happy Thanksgiving everyone. 🤗
did this first turkey..was awesome !!!!
Definitely gonna do that for Christmas dinner!!!

Turkey is in the oven, now I’m getting baked; thanks Martha!
Ok!!!!
Thank you
love you martha
We always cover the stuffing with a slice of good bread and as it cooks it gets stuffing flavored. It keeps the stuff in and when it comes out everybody fights over it.
seems very simple I'm about to do this !
Martha I have been a fan of yours since I was a kid my mom made your 🍞 bread pudding and it was delicious she put raisins in it and made the 🍮 custard sauce you are our lady thank you for your show and great cooking and your outstanding products with Macy's we love you Have a wonderful Thanksgiving
I just really love Martha Stewart.
That unseasoned butter turkey 😭😭
I’m going to need that bottle of white wine to drink if I’m going to be basting a turkey every 15 minutes 😲
No you won't... don't depend on booze to keep you going ;-)
I'm trying that right now lol preparing turkey for tomorrow

I have not been able to find a single video on how to carve a stuffed turkey and how to un-stuff a roasted stuffed turkey, I wish someone would do a video on these 2 topics

How to make the stuffing
yummy
MARTHA STEWART TURKEY ROAST AWESOME
Is the stuffing hot or cold inside the bird I've heard different reviews about it so not sure
Remember to give the stuffing room to expand!!!
sunkissed.peach omg I’ve been cooking turkeys for longer than you’ve been alive and you want to stuff it in. And stuff the neck too. Our stuffing is delicious, there’s never any left and the best part, nobody ever died.
Please come back to T.V. you are missed so much!

Felons shouldnt be allow on TV corrupting our already brainwashed children..

The most important question, salted or unsalted butter! its makes a huge difference!
kuniisha I’m curious about this too!
My family always uses salted
No it doesn't......
Is she going to season it?
All uncovered
ALWAYS put your stuffing in a layer of cheese cloth tie it then put it in your Turkey when done pull it out and put it in a bowl after you remove the cloth . NO SCRAPING the stuffing out of the bird
I can never get the wings tucked under like yours. Do I have to break the joint? PS. I osteoarthritis in my hands
This is so helpful Martha. Last year my maid quit on Thanksgiving day. I had guests coming for dinner so I had to try to whip the turkey up myself. I just threw it in the oven and hoped for the best. When we went to cut it there was this stuff inside. I had no idea that it came with the neck and giblets inside there. I just told everybody that I had stuffed it with a charcuterie tray. Everybody was totally impressed and thought I knew what I was doing.
The Turkey: Yes stuff me Daddy OwO
i love fire roasted turkey. nothing like chomping down on fire roasted turkey meat
1:44 Sarah Carey!!!!! From everyday cooking!!!!!,
Sarah!
Jasiu!!
Do you cook the stuffing prior to stuffing the turkey?
No
I was wondering the same
😋
Is there any seasoning on the turkey from the out side
You need to insert the herbs and seasonings between the turkey SKIN and MEAT.
Cornbread dressing me please lol
Martha was a no nonsense woman
Really?
Then how did Martha wind up in PRISON?
THANKS SO MUCH, MARTHA AS THIS ONE "CHEF" WHO SELLS KNIVES SUGGESTS NEVER STUFFING A TURKEY FOR IT IS UNHEALTHY???!!! MY MOM AND GRANNY ALWAYS STUFFED OUR GEESE AT CHRISTMAS AND SO DO I WITH MY TURKEYS!!
Insulated or salted butter???
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Who is watching this in 2020 during the lockdown?
Your stuffing will soak up grease. So make sure it it moist!
This seems good, but I also like HowToBasic's method.
Wait till Snoop sees that! Mmmm
WHERE IS THE SEASONING???????
Watching all those women preparing the turkeys scared me lol
Why do women get so thrilled when they are shoving their hands up another birds arse?
*you look like Martha Stewart with that thing*
Girls, if only you knew the REAL truth about roasting a world-class turkey!
do we have too use a thermometer if we don't own one let me no before I cook thanks
Kathy Sanders no. store bought Turkey's have a built in thermometer that pops up when done. also stab the thickest part of the turkey thigh. if the juice runs clear it's done
Sorry Bria, but by the time that thingie "pops up" your turkey has reached 180 degrees internal.
Totally useless device!
Rip martha
why under cold and not warm water?
Bacteria spreading likely if using hot water.

Am I missing something? Literally? The video doesn't show the turkey coming out of the oven? Waaaaa
and it doesn't show the stuffing recipe - no wonder she got done for fraud.
Here i am
"Parchment"?
"Foil"?
Are we talking about roasting a turkey, or the Declaration of Independence?
Or worse yet "Turkey Conspiracy Theorists"?
Somebody needs to stuff her turkey!
Lol thanks for that😂🔥
She didn’t even wash her hands after touching the turkey than pats down the “ vegetarian stuffing “ ....

her watch and sleeves touching the turkey 🥴
Right cross cut contamination!!!!! Red flag!!!🚩
Mr Bean did this
I prefer the South Park variation...
Why not show the Finished Product?
Man...I wonder what it was like having her as a mother. The constant perfection must have been at least a little suffocating

Wait I thought that doing this can get you sick
THAT is why I stopped doing this, in the late 50's!
Doing what can make you sick?
Llk
so incomplete!
NO!
Do NOT roast your turkey to 165 in the oven. It will only produce a DRY turkey!
Get your turkey out at 155 and rest it on the counter. It will continue to cook to 160 to 165, depending on the size of your bird.
That's not how matter or energy works. It can only lower from there. Frightening.
Vegetarians made their choice.
"Trussing" the legs is a complete waste of string and time.
It does NOTHING to make the turkey "more juicy"-all trussing does is throw off your cook time for the bird, because the legs are pressed too close to the breast part, thereby making your bird cook for a longer period of time, which, of course, will turn your breast meat into shoe leather.
wait really? I was worried I needed the string to cook the turkey better. I'm a newb at this. So no trussing needed?
@@Joltzeria That's right because if the legs are trussed, they make it harder for the heat to reach the rest of your turkey which would be the rib cage and the breast!
NEVER NEVER stuff the cavity it ruins the cooking process.any chef with basic cooking skills knows this.
Oh, oh I've cut the dickens out of my finger!
Howtobasif tutorial was better
Kartexx I know right
Basting a turkey adds NO flavor to the meat, just the skin.
Cross contamination
Basting, from the outside, is nothing more than an old wives method.
It does NOTHING for the turkey meat- NOTHING at *all*.
I’m sorry
Omg🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤😝😛😜
165? Do you mean 175
No, 165.
BUT you pull your bird out of the oven at 155 internal so that "carry over cooking" brings it up to 160-165.
If you pull the bird at 175, GOODBYE TURKEY!!!!!!!
Dry, Dry , DRY!!!!!!

BS on trussing.
Trussing presses the legs against the body, which means the heat can't all get in there, which means your legs take LONGER to cook AND you also all but guarantee that your breast will be dry.
Don't truss!
