Hi Neighbor! 1942 SOUNDIE Anita Boyer War Time Patriotic Song 16mm WWII

Here is a soundie called "Hi Neighbor" sung by Anita Boyer. This is a soundie musical number from the 1940s. I haven't seen this one in other places. This is from my 16mm print transferred in high definition. Soundies were in a jukebox-like device which cost 10 cents per play. There are a few choppy edits at the start of this print, but then runs fine.

That's Ricardo Montalban on the far right.

That is a good eye. Ricardo's first film appearance is on another soundie called "He's A Latin From Staten Island", where he is featured as "Ricardo", but he does not sing. The vocal on that one is by Gus Van. That one is available on the Soundies blu-ray collection.
