    Thanks for the great video! Really enjoyed the detailed information which was lacking in some of the others on CZcams. 👍

    I also had an Evotech GPS mount installed at this location (V4 Pikes Peak 2023) for a Tomtom Rider 550. However, it was very hard to use when driving - it suffered from severe vibrations and the nav screen was suitably shaky. I did not like it at all. So I took it off and used a mount using a different bracket and in a different place on the bike.

    Nice tip, just what I was looking for 👌 I saw you also did nice paint job on multis beak. Would you mind sharing some photos of the front? Thanks.

    Thanks for the installation video! Beautiful Multistrada as well! Quick question, I am about to do the exact same install. Have you looked at the Touratech locking base for the Garmin? Do you think it’s a good idea or just overkill? Im trying to decide if I should purchase or not. Thanks in advance for your input.

    Hi António. Do you remember if tthe cigarret lighter are two flat pins?ty Best regards. For other users the conector for the nav, if you dont want to cut rubber (waranty), is the JWPF 2 pins

    The polarity of two unidentifiable wires/cables can be established with a multimeter set to DC voltage and the cables connected to a battery. Connect the cables to the multimeter probes, if the reading is a negative value then the positive multimeter cable (red) is connected to the negative side of the battery and vice versa. It's a safer way than guessing.

    Ciao Antonio. Thank you for your video!
    On the 1200 I had a similar, 3d printed nab support but it was very shaky and too sensible with vibrations. Off road road I had to detach the nav otherwise would have crashed into the main screen.
    How is this one doing? Does it shake a lot in urban/twisty roads? Have you tried to use it in off road? Would you recommend it?

      i use it everywhere and its fine. get that 3D printed garbage off your bike.

    Hi is it the same cable to use for the quadlock mobile phone charger as well?

    • @JeanOi
      @JeanOi Před 2 lety

      The quadlock charger is coming with 2x usb-c to usb-a cables. A long one and a short one.
      You can either use the short one with a 12v to usb-a adapter and use the 12v socket.
      Or you can use the long one and reach the usb-a port in the phone compartment. You can also route the long cable underneath the blank tank cover and reach the usb-a from inside, for a clean and easy install.

    I pulled that panel off but the wires were further back it seemed like, i could just barely reach with my fingers, i put the panel back on and run the gps with its battery for now. With the band off does it release more ?

    I have two comments, first nice job on mounting your Garmin. Do you ever find that all that navigation gear and non-see-through windscreen are simply two much stuff obstructing your view of the road. Maybe it’s just me but I don’t see the point of a solid wind deflector. There’s too much benefit to seeing the road to have that much stuff blocking it. Just my thoughts

    those installations just wonder do not affect the warranty? and good video

      no they dont.

    • @hewlett62
      @hewlett62 Před 7 měsíci

      Of course not, because the connector for connecting the power supply for the GPS is prepared by Ducati for just such a mounting. It's a trivially simple job, except that if you damage something by careless handling, Ducati won't deal with it as a warranty repair :-)
