    This has been a pleasure going through the 1st protocol. I feel like you gain in swing speed is our gain. Can't wait for your next update!!

    I love this series - very inspiring!
    I'm about 6 weeks ahead in the program - nearing the end of level 2 - it's been a great way to make my game better during the lockdowns.

    Hi Tom, I have been using your swing speed training session for 7 weeks & have seen some great speed improvement.I am 84 years old, my base speed with driver was 69mph & is now 79mph & 78mph average, my handicap is 9.4 & can't wait for lockdown to end

    Very impressive results, Thomas. I have been using Superspeed since 2019. Great product and I have experienced significant jumps in swing and ball speed throughout my bag. Have you tried the Superspeed C product? I have used this product as well to compliment to the 3 stick system. Cheers

    Any new updates on Thomas level 2 of the SS system? I just ordered my own SS system and cant wait to get it later this week.
    Also another question for Thomas, did you gain any more distance from the rest of the bag?

  • @markdurham8593
    @markdurham8593 Před 3 lety

    Can I ask if this has translated to actual distance on the course. The TM is great but on the course with a wind and a tight fairway is interesting to know. Also what has this done for your stock 7 iron disc trance have you seen similar gains?

  • @hildashubby
    @hildashubby Před 3 lety +1

    Took a lunch break and did my 3rd day of SS training, Started with 86/86/87 MPH driver speed pre-session, post-session I had 98/97/102 MPH, I like where this is going, remember before my first session, I was swing at 81 mph top speed.

    Hi there, I am in week 3 of protocol 1 and wondered what speeds you are hitting on the swing radar compared to the actual golf swing. Ie Are you swing faster with the sticks or the golf club?

    • @SuperSpeedGolf
      @SuperSpeedGolf Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Drew, thanks for using SuperSpeed. As a reference point we usually see players around 19% faster with the Green club, 15% faster with Blue, and 12% faster with Red (compare to baseline driver swing speeds). Again these are averages but might help with your target for each club when training. Please let us know if you have any questions. Happy Training!

    Hey Thomas, I love watching your progress with these speed sticks! Do you find that the speed sticks train your sequencing as much as they train your speed?
    I ask because my main swing fault is definitely sequencing that ultimately robs me of club head speed. So now I’m looking to buy speed sticks, but I would ideally like them to train and fix my sequencing to gain speed before training me to simply swing harder and faster on top of the swing fault. Is there a different training aid I should consider for sequencing?

    • @TheEugenelee13
      @TheEugenelee13 Před 3 lety +1

      I do think one of the benefits of the training is sequencing. You can tell by the sound where to accelerate through the swing to generate speed. I’ve also been experimenting with my swing a bit so that has been interesting to see how swing speed changes with different swings (although the problem is that it’s not quite apples to apples since I started the program).
      Thomas, I’d love to see if you could also use the PRGR monitor at the same time to compare the monitors.

    • @SuperSpeedGolf
      @SuperSpeedGolf Před 3 lety

      Hi Marco, when you talk about your sequencing are you talking about starting your lower first in the downswing? As you work through the protocols, certain drills work on certain parts of sequencing. The step drill is a great drill for sequencing the lower body. Making that step engages the lower body in a powerful manner to start the downswing. If the issue is with upper body, the kneeling swings are fantastic for getting the arms to fire while limiting lower body engagement. We also have advanced speed development protocols that start at week 20 that address lower body, upper body, and also release. Le me know if you have any questions.

    • @marco_gallone
      @marco_gallone Před 3 lety

      @@SuperSpeedGolf Wow, thank you so much for your detailed response! My issue was primarily due to an early release of the club from the hands/wrist end, but also a lack of effective power generated from the ground through the legs (even though my legs and hips were definitely active). I think speed sticks are a great next step for me to improve my golf game.

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  Před 3 lety

      Good question. I would assess it if you pick up 5-10 mph... I'm making an adjustment to the loft on my driver and shaft type with my gains

  • @donsmnc5319
    @donsmnc5319 Před 3 lety

    Have you been able to take that added speed and distance to the golf course in an actual round? Will an equipment adjustment of some kind be necessary at some point? Shaft, loft, etc.....

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  Před 3 lety

      Good question. Being in Minnesota I have not played an actual round of golf yet since Novemeber. I'm excited to see what I find out but that will most likely be in April. I actually just ordered a necessary adjustment. Less loft and a lower torque shaft. I'm still not maximizing my distance as I still hit it very high with the speed. lowering that will give me even more distance.

      So weird to see the only comment that isn't a year old is from 9 hours ago.
      The results over these 6 weeks seem amazing, considering he is a pro. I'm pretty new to golf and my handicap is 14, but it's mainly due to my mid irons and short game as I don't have great club head speed or distances, 95mph total carry only 200ish, so I just ordered the speed sticks and a monitor so I'm looking forward to this.
      I'm also wondering how Thomas got on since the last video, hopefully he is alerted by your message and he might do an update.

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  Před 2 lety

      In summary if you keep working on it you will keep picking up gains. If you do the speed training once a week you will maintain. If you stop you will loose some speed. I haven't spent as much time as I would like to keep the speed at where I reached. Typically I am around 114mph which is still good for me but to reach the 120mph I need to keep up the 3 days a week routine - Thomas

    I've enjoyed watching the progress! I am excited for you to get to 120 and I understand you are trying to follow the program as it is presented, but I think hitting balls off your knees is a TERRIBLE idea. This move immobilizes the lower back and puts tremendous strain that it wasn't designed to absorb. There is limited flexibility in the lower lumbar spine to begin with and twisting it without allowing it to move is a sure way to herniate discs or worse. Just ask Tiger.

    • @SuperSpeedGolf
      @SuperSpeedGolf Před 3 lety

      Hi Sam, while the kneeling swings may look like that at first glance, the set up and mechanical tips we provide ensure that is not the case. We instruct the knees to directly beneath the hips not wider and to actively let the pelvis rotate. When performed this way the pelvis actually rotates close to the same degree as standing. We also have a modified standing version for those that are not comfortable kneeling, the video is at the bottom of this page

      trackman measures after impact, gcquad before. so trackman will show swing speed being slower.
