    I bought these last summer and did the training for 4 weeks. Got 4-5 mph more club head speed. Didn’t keep doing the training as I had some surgeries but will again this spring. Great series.

    Another great video in the SS series. I have been doing the dynamic warm-up every day, not just on the training protocol days. Figured it wouldn't hurt to loosen up my old body every day.

    Kudos for being the one of the first persons on CZcams to start the SuperSpeed and promise updates and actually post them !! Fun to watch .
    I am In week 1 and if anyone is planning on starting make sure you do the recommended stretching protocol!! I can’t emphasize it enough even if you think your in good shape and athletic !

      On week 2 and I have gained 3/4 mph so far , crazy. I have also started a diet and exercise regimen so I think that is also contributing to the gains but so far Superspeed is delivering .

    Steady progress, you've gotten an ~ 5% increase in club speed, will be interesting to see if this continues over the next few weeks as this training settles into a pattern

    What speed differences are you noticing between the swing speed radar and TrackMan readings?
    It’s commonly said the radar will read up to 8mph faster than TrackMan

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  Před 3 lety

      It can be 4-8mph slower when swinging the driver on TrackMan. I have put the radar next to the ball while hitting on Track man. Could be closer with GC Quad as TrackMan measures club speed at compression while GC Quad is right before impact.

    I’ve been following the series but as a 72 year old with an average driver swing speed in the mid 90s that can’t relate to the numbers that Thomas gets, has any consideration been given to having a very average golfer go through this process? It would be really nice to see how I might be able to improve my game, at least from a distance perspective. I finished the season with an index of 10.7 and had it down to a low of 9.2 during this past summer, playing courses at 5800 to 6200 yards.

      Hi Rick, thank you for the feedback! We understand that these numbers might not correlate with everyone, but the science behind SuperSpeed is designed to help all golfers and all swing speeds.

  • @fredster1449

    Once you've finished the programme are gains maintained if you don't do anything else or carry on speed training ?

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for the question! There's not a right or wrong answer here because it depends on the player. A consistent workout routine, not necessarily the SuperSpeed training, can help maintain those numbers. Perhaps we'll see when Thomas completes the program. We can check in a few months after and see how his numbers compare!

  • @spakuloid
    @spakuloid Před 3 lety +1

    I must be doing something wrong - I can easily swing the SS clubs faster than you but can barely crack 100 with a driver and a ball. Even without a ball, I swing easily over 110-118 with a driver. Put the ball down - 98-100. Drives me crazy. I think my neck can't turn as much - which limits my backswing when there is a ball there - and unless I want to swing blind - I just can't get my downward shoulder under my chin enough in the backswing to see the ball. Basically, if I could take my eyes off the ball and let my head turn back with my shoulder turn - I could swing 120.

    • @krusher74
      @krusher74 Před 3 lety +1

      So can you clip the top of a rubber tee at 110-118, but not hit a ball over 100? if so it must be psychological and you are early releasing the club when trying to hit a ball. Try pretending the ball isnt there or closing your eyes. When a ball is there you may with your swing be trying to scoop it up in the air.

    • @samleblanc7642
      @samleblanc7642 Před 3 lety

      It’s not hard to figure out what’s going on. You’re swinging all out WAY beyond your capabilities to put a club on the back of the ball
      Cars can go fast but not as fast if they need to slow down to make a turn
      You need to work on your swing mechanics more than speed

    I’m still waiting for the mustache, but great video! I might have missed it, but did you say you need a stiffer shaft now that you speed has increased? If so what stiffness did you start with and what are you going to?

    Question on the radar ...
    I have that same one...instructions were to Place at 45 degree angle. You have it "square"... What is the proper way to align? Thanks.

    • @samleblanc7642
      @samleblanc7642 Před 3 lety

      They suggest 45* to eliminate picking up ballspeeds
      I’d play with alignment and determine what works best for you. It’ll be pretty obvious if you’re getting excessively high numbers wether it was ball speed or clubhead speed

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for answering that question for us. I had not noticed differences in club speed with 45* or straight up and down angles

  • @patrickorourke4322

    Keep it up . How do you increase angle of attack ? I struggle with this but am getting faster

    • @samleblanc7642
      @samleblanc7642 Před 3 lety

      I’m working hard on increasing my AOA as well. The ONLY thing I’ve found to be effective was learning to shallow the club in the downswing
      To do this I’ve had to retrain my entire swing sequencing
      Eric Cogorno has several videos on how to rotate properly and not pull the shaft towards the ball to start the downswing

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for watching our videos. We have just completed editing a video on how to increase your attack angle stay tuned it should go up within the next couple of weeks. 1. Tee height 2. Ball position further forward 3. Shoulder tilt if your right handed left shoulder higher than the right.

  • @hbyrdut
    @hbyrdut Před 3 lety

    I started my 3rd week with superspeed golf but today was the first day I hit a driver after the training. The ball went right of right. Do you swing all out on every swing or just the last 3? Also should I worry about form when I'm doing the training?

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  Před 3 lety

      During training I do swing as fast as I can for every swing. The final 3 swings are definitely faster after completing the protocol. You should pay attention to your form and make sure you are getting that club face to turn over, also a faster speed can lead to more in to out swing. Keep an eye on your mechanics while competing the training.
