Just turned 22 last month, looking forward to picking this up next year as I move to Ithaca or NYC for my master's in financial engineering. Awesome review sir, enjoyed watching this thoroughly.
Cool! And glad you enjoyed the video. 👍🏼
Beautiful bike
That Sporty 1200 A-rod’s on is really nice.
Agree. Sounded awesome too.
I got to test ride a couple recently, the forward controls are awful, making me feel cramped into a letter 'C'. BUT the MID controls are SO much better, way more comfortable! Its like a different bike!
The letter C is a good descriptor for the stock riding position. Yes, I bet mids are much better. I could use some T bars as well!
I'd get a used one still on warrenty and extend it. Once the tail hugger and stock pipe is gone, it'd be great.
I test rode one and was shocked at how good it is.
Exactly!
Fellow Jed here, with the same bike, no less! I can mirror your sentiments about the Sportster S. Fantastic bike. Aside from the wheelie bar back end, and the uncomfortable forward controls, I love it. The color on this thing is pretty interesting. Looks dark in the sun, but put it under some florescent lights, and it appears nearly orange! I installed the mid controls, and a tail tidy. The mids help my lower back quite a bit. Also, setting up the shocks to your rider weight goes a long way. (according to manual) Such a difference between road mode, and sport mode!
I can imagine those mids feel great.
12:32 mast amazing ride, that says alot
Im 57. Im fine on it
Good to hear! I gotta get in better shape! 😂
Great to see you on another vid man. Sure looks like a great ride Jed. have fun
Thanks man. I really do enjoy taking these bikes out, and this one is so unique in the Harley lineup.
Do own 1. Joy to ride. 176cm tall. Find it comfortable. Alot of power on tap.
Agree -- tons of power.
Right Shoulder? I so confused
Yeah, sorry bout that! 😂
Everyone has something to say Harley has to move on from the old sportster if you don’t like it don’t buy one it’s a free country I bought a 2024 one love it fun to ride
Yep. I got a 21 the first year they came out and haven’t looked back. So much fun.
I especially love the helicopter tail boom tail light and license plate bracket that looks like it was just stuck on there as an afterthought, due to poor design.👍
Thanks for sharing your perspective.
never seen a bmw huh ? 😂

BMW was not the subject of the video, and I don't get side tracked as easily as most of you do.
@@rarebreed9208 so what. You said it was a poor design and I gave an eg why you're wrong.
Looks like it was designed by Hotwheels. 😆
I totally see that!
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks again, ARod! 👍🏼
Idk why but it looks weird, i guess its because all the old people at harley tried to make something look modern but it looks like what people thought futuristic was during y2k. The indian scout 60 looks a bit better and is a bit cheaper
Somebody in the comments said it looks like a hot wheel. I dig it, but it’s probably not for everyone. Since posting this a few friends have said they’ve ridden them with mid-controls and enjoyed them. I think I would like that.
i would remove those stupid engine covers on the right side.
It has everything I don’t want. It’s a ‘clutter cluster.’ What a mess….
If I want a sport bike, I’ll buy a sport bike.
‘But it’s fast’ …..don’t want fast.
‘It’s got more horsepower’….don’t need it.
Seems all you did was complain about the ride as you went along. Old people aren’t interested and young people can’t afford it.
But it’s fast! 😝 Just kidding. Your points are all valid. Still, though, it’s impressive Harley can just decide to build something like this and then do it. Now if they would just release the Bronx bike they teased several years ago ….
This Bike has been a Hot-Mess since 2021 with Gremlins, and motor Electrical/trans issues..Has H-D fixed them ?? Everyone I speak to about this Bike says, it's nothing but a Hassle and trips to the Dealer for warranty Work.
And Yes, I test rode one, and it's amazing in Sport Mode, but if the thing keeps on breaking down, and spitting out Engine Codes that have to be fixed, then H-D better get it's Shit together, cause the word is out, that these things are not reliable.
And you really needed to talk more about what mode you were in, and educate yourself on the Bike before blathering your ignorance about it.
🤘
It might be a good motorcycle, but it's not a good Harley Davidson
I suspect you're not alone in that assessment. I think it's a cool bike with an awesome motor, but it's a departure for Harley.
What is a good Harley ? Old Harleys only ?
@@HONDAREBEL1100it’s fair to say a good Harley is in the eye of the beholder. I suspect there’s no objective standard!
@@HONDAREBEL1100 anything that has soul. The sportster S is completely soulless.
@@eveythingthatsadamI’m only 22 but hoping off a 2014 dynamax the sportster was surprisingly peppy and comfortable, the fat front tires make it feel super stable too, really surprised me
Thanks, but no thanks. I’ll stick with my Hayabusa.
Nothing wrong with that.
Doesn't sound like a Harley, because it's not.
I get it, and to a degree I agree with you, but they've got to evolve at some point, and for evolution (no pun intended) this thing is pretty cool.
And how is it not a Harley?
I suspect he means it’s fundamentally different than most Harley models - the Revolution max motor, the suspension, but the times they are a changing!
@@TheJedRides just like open border's
HD decides what's a Harley not anyone else.
