  • Paying homage to one of the greatest lines within' Harley-Davidson.
Everything I say in this video is my opinion.
The sportster rolled onto the scene in 1957 and since then it's been a staple of the brand. An entry into the life of riding motorcycles. It's a machine that makes you feel alive and free. It's such a nostalgic motorcycle, how could you hate it?
    Thanks for watching!

Couldn't agree more. I bought an iron 883 new in 2009. I rode it 60,000 miles since then. In 2020, I bought a softail. I kept the Iron. Can't bring myself to sell it. I used to ride it every day, but I ride it rarely now... It's uncomfortable, it's not fast... but I am very attached to it. I used to take it on long trip across several states, but now I won't do more than 1/2 hour at a time on it... but I still appreciate it for what it is, same way you do. On another note, I appreciate how you show the bike a lot in your videos, something I wish more motovloggers would do, rather than just showing me the view from behind the handlebars for the whole video.

Thank you! I actually just enjoy learning about cinematography. Making videos and reviews of Harley’s just made sense.
I’ll admit, I’ve never actually owned a Sportster, but I’ve put a ton of miles on them. They have soul. It’s a hard concept to explain. I love the new stuff. I’m all about technology.

I can’t make me sell my 2001 883 hugger so I feel your situation. I made the mistake of custom paint and all sorts of options and even 4 different seats and 2 of them you can sit on for hours. It’s the highway that hurts mine. 80 mph is almost 4k rpm after my tuner upgrade which is ok but your hands really feel it and my mileage gets so bad I barely make it to Louisville from Indianapolis area. I still can’t walk past it without staring and feeling proud of the only vehicle I ever bought new. All bikes are great but only Harley and maybe an Indian can make so many feel like we do.

Got a '22 883 about 6 months ago as my 2nd bike(1st was '18 Ninja 400) This thing is a ton of fun. Swapped to LED lighting, Vance and Hines exhaust, air cleaner and tuner. Future plans are taller bars, 2up seat and pegs, some kind of bags(hate backpacks), and the digital speedo with fuel guage. I'd recommend to anyone who wants to cruise around and just have fun. No need(for me) for cruise control, radio, and giant fairings since im not going super long distances. Just me, the bike, and the road.

  • @artshahnazarianesq.6774

Great video! Indeed, some like to ride to feel alive (in style too perhaps) over functional. Guilty as charged!
I’ve got a 2014 883, converted to the 1200 screamin eagle kit along but a bunch of other things I did to it to my heart’s desire.
Will never get rid of it.

Bro, Iron 883’s are the one of the best looking models in the Dealership. Its proven in the numbers they sell! I will be sad if this is really the end of the EVO, that new Rev whatever doesnt even speak “Harley” and I can see it easily failing.

I have the 2022 xl883. U musta got a vibe one ..any speed up to 80mph is pure smooth in handel bars or pegs. But then i dont change anything from stock. Which is probably why mine works so well. I bought the first Evo in 85 in the last evo in 2022.

I have owned two street bikes before the Iron 883 and although they both had more power and was faster, I really enjoy the Iron 883 for what it is. Personally, I think Harley Davidson messed up by discontinuing the Iron 883 and of course all air cooled Sportsters. You just can't get the same riding experience from a water cooled Sportster.

I still have my Iron 883 and while I tried to like the new nightster I just couldn’t get to bond with it. The tank underneath the seat is an awful idea and it’s smaller the plastic I can almost cope with but they have yet to bring out chrome parts to swap it out with, I just felt like I was on a Honda rebel

For me it's not the speed of the bike, It's the ride experience of the bike but still Plenty of power and speed for me. If people want the speed then buy a racing bike but for me I want and love that Classic Harley look of the Iron 883.

HD made some terrible management decisons: getting rid of the Buell line, and now getting rid of the Iron 883. Looks like Harley just want to sell the ultral high end like Ford wants to only sell the high end trucks, Hence; they sit on dealer lots all over as people want the plain F 150. Terrible management decision.

Best bike they make. And closest thing to a sporty bike made by an American company. Too bad it’s gone. But luckily there are a lot out there.

I had my 2018 Iron 883 out today 11-30-2023 temperature 51 just 20 miles north of Chicago. I was the only bike out where I was riding. I believe on a respect to the sportster that Harley Davidson should’ve dropped the name when they dropped the air cooled sportster.
