The floss when heated gives rise to toxic substances ! Be careful plz
Alhamdulillah! I love ur videos. May Allah continue to guide u. Amen. I just ask please do not confuse or waterdown this beautiful and distinct Deen. I am a new Muslim and the only one in my family right now. It makes the justification to abstain from calendar holidays that much harder when my family see other Muslims indulging and just dismiss it as me being "extra"! Please. If you are not Muslim please forgive me. Please.
sister use the giblets for the broth for the gravy.
What Seasoning did you put on the outside?????
You should actually bake it breast side down because all the juice is in there and it will come out more moist. My mom got that tip from a friends a few years back and it really does make a difference. The herbs look great.
Would that not make it as crispy tho?
It's her turkey tho
@@bradycrain4077 you can turn it back around and broil it for the last couple of minutes to get that crisp !
@@missmoonlight629 have u never heard of a suggestion or something?
I’m trying it your way tomorrow! Happy Thanksgiving 🍁🦃🍽
salt and pepper nothing else? Theres a theme of underseasoning in these videos
She has vegetables and herbs inside the turkey where the actual meat is. The skin only needs s&p and butter.
@Angel sweet Its a whole turkey. How are you going to rub down the breast meat? That's the whole point of putting seasoning in the cavity. It flavors the whole turkey.
There's a theme to you watching despite knowing food is under seasoned...but like a fool you keep returning
@@christinestewart4681 you can tho it’s when you rub the turkey with seasoning and inject it with seasonings sauce spices the person may have there’s other ways you can do it
@@semirainy6647 Then you are changing the recipe. There always more than one way to do anything.
The neck and giblets make the best gravy. Use those.
The BEST Giblet Gravy!!!
yuk
We cook the bird back facing up as the back fat keeps the breast meat "MOIST" also butter in the cavity helps.
Halal Pastures!? Wow that was the place I ordered from when I lived in NJ. Super reliable. Alhamdulilah
Respectfully asking, is it a farm that is sourced in a way that Muslim people are able to purchase things for consumption from without worry?
@@blakewebb4142 from my understanding, yes. They are becoming more commercial but still trustworthy.
@@khalilwilliams3176 thank you for your response! I think this is so wonderful to exist!!!!! I wish the big cities where I live had them! I work in a major metro area with a heavy Muslim population who I don’t think has many options except chain retail store which is probably an unreliable place to source the foods they need.
Personally I do not agree with the way halal meat is killed. I understand that the animals dies regardless but I think their is way too much unnecessary suffering inflicted on the animal. When we kill them, it’s an instant death with a electric bolt to the brain but when Halal meat is killed they’re hung upside down (alive) then they have THEIR THROATS slit and left to die a slow painful death in which they can literally feel the blood draining from their body over their face. It’s evil and disgusting and I make it a point to make sure my meat is NOT halal.
@@acidalex420 100% UNTRUE. According. To BBC: contrary to what many assume, most animals killed by halal methods are stunned before slaughter. FSA estimates suggest that 88% of animals in the UK and US killed by halal methods were stunned beforehand in a way that many Muslims find religiously acceptable.
In many sheep and lambs this is by electronic stunning to the head or in poultry via a water bath electrified with enough power to make them unconscious but not to kill. Another method of stunning that involves cardiac arrest is not allowed under halal rules.
Modern day major halal meat distributors use humane and permissible methods. Do some research before you speak on something next time kiddo. Not to mention the modern farming industry slaughtering practices are far more egregious and inhumane. The animals are offend sick and suffering before being killed half stunned.
Lol, how you feel now ya idiot?
Everybody throws the necc away not knowing that is really one of the best cuts of meat
I heard that with it one makes scrumptious gravy. Is that true?
Yeah or you could just eat it
@@lamalamalexhell no. The best gravy is made from the drippings. The neck is NOT a good cut of meat tf 💀😭
@@ariellev9185 nah, you add the drippings into the gravy. the neck itself is so good for making the stock for the gravy
@@mmmtastyalidzie2435 so true! We did that today and just ate the meat from the neck. So yummy🤤
“And after that it just comes down to some good seasoning“😭😭
So I soften a bunch of butter and then I’ll put a bunch of turkey seasonings poultry seasoning salt pepper everything I need and then I mix it into my butter and then I peel the skin up and I put the butter underneath the skin and then I rub the leftover butter all over the turkey and then add more seasonings it makes the turkey absolutely delicious and moist!!!
I use one of those turkey bags and get a Honeysuckle White with the pop up thing when it's done. Let rest at least 15 minutes after removing from oven. Perfect every time.
I used minty floss....I do not recommend you use minty floss
Facts 💀💀💀
Anytime you cook a turkey whole lot of family should be around you
Looks delicious
My husband is a chef and debones the whole turkey and trusses it. He is also a butcher. It is amazing!!!!
Thanks for sharing this information. I'll definitely debone my turkey when I cook
😅
Use your fingers or a spatula and separate the skin from the breasts from the neck opening. Then spoon in seasoned room temp butter under the skin and massage/spread it out over the entire breasts from the outside. I mix minced garlic, poultry seasoning, and finely chopped sage and rosemary to the butter.
Round the edges of a piece of tinfoil (the size of your bird) and place over the top for the first half of cooking 👍🏼
Bake at 325F / 18 mins a lb
We eat 🦃 year round 🤠🍽
Wow looks so delicious
Thanks!!
The neck and giblets make a great broth for the stuffing and gravy...
But u have to wash turkey with lemon and rinse it well then seasoned, other wise it ll have stinky smell 👍, ur seasoning and herbs r excellent
What kind of turkey do you get that has a stinky smell?
@@retired5218 every Turkey and every poultry has that distinctive smell? You have never smelt it ?
False
I have never bought a turkey that has a bad smell. You’re also not supposed to wash poultry because it can spread salmonella and other bacteria around your kitchen. Not sure where you get your turkey from but it shouldn’t smell bad.
@@olive872 maybe it’s the expression of the words, some cultures express reactions differently. What may appear like a mere smell of poultry to one person, may appear unpleasant to someone from a different culture. And washing food before consumption no matter what, can also be a part of someone’s culture.
As some one who doesnt celbrate thanks giving it was intresting to see how the turkey is cooked
Most floss is full If PFOA’s (Teflon)
Do you cover the Turkey inside a roasting pan?
THE BEST AND ONLY WAY. MAKE SURE TO BUTTER BETWEEN THE SKIN. YES FANTASTIC
Salt and pepper works well for red meat if you're doing Texas style BBQ but for the bird it needs a little more seasoning possibly a compound butter
I'm pretty sure thats what she did
Being Caribbean, I cannot eat under seasoned meat....front yard have all the best seasonings for me
Halal too. Great choice
I'm pretty sure it was dry turkey honey. The butter needs to go under the skin , and you can also inject some more butter with flavor in the meat. But the turkey looked beautiful!!!😊
Happy Thanksgiving, sir.
Thank you. I gotta do this
After rinsing the inside. Onions and celery sauteed in melted butter. Pour over broken dried bread and croutons and poultry seasoning. Put turkey broth in the pan .Bake covered til the last half hr 40 min. to brown.
Add apple for a tiny bit of sweetness for the gravy later on 😋👌
Also you don't need to throw out the giblets. Use them for gravy or stock
My new idea have Walmart next year do rotisserie turkeys for thanksgiving
We use a Reynolds Bag. The Best turkey you ever wanna eat!! Easy and fast too!!❤❤❤❤
“Ground me if you want, nothing will unf*&k the thanksgiving turkey”.
Yummy turkey 🦃
Looks good
Hey this thanksgiving I cooked a hole duck by myself no help whatsoever
Ps: I’m only 12
Wow that’s amazing!!! So proud of you honestly. I couldn’t even make pasta when I was your age. Seriously, pat yourself on the back
Halal certificate
Wow so I can eat Thanksgiving one without any worry
Halal pastures??? Wow that’s awesome! When I lived in the States there were no such thing 🥲
you can spatchcock it too so it cooks faster
Actually using cheese cloth will keep it juicy I've been doing it for years
Where did u get the halal turkey
It is just like cooking a big chicken. Use the innards for gravy then mince the heart and liver and add to the dressing. No one will know it is there and will give it another marvelous layer of flavor.
Did you have to use tooth floss what about cooking string
If you don't tie the legs, the dark meat cooks better, and you get more crispy skin.
I'd not put anything in the cavity besides flavor - the turkey cooks faster with it open, and the veggies cook better elsewhere.
I use ghee instead of regular butter.
I put the turkey up on a rack instead of down in the pan - better heat and crispier skin.
You want to cook as little as possible, so use a thermometer.
You can rest the turkey in an ice chest/cooler for a couple hours or so.
I rinse turkeys before cooking- gently so as to not splash bacteria.
Unless you thoroughly wash your sink and the surrouding countrr top area with disinfectant, you are increasing your chance of food borne illness.
Beautiful
Thank you!
U literally did not season it.
She did that in the beginning 🤦🏽♀️
What she didn't do wash clean it
Exactly, that's not seasoning lol.
Use butchers twine instead of floss. It’s about five bucks for enough to last years for the average person.
You cook it without washing it 😮
Right 🤦
You DONT wash poultry, or any meat for that matter.
@@jamesdelatour2266 No you don't but ALOT of people do.
@@jan4177 In Europe washing poultry is unheard of, we’re warned by public health authorities washing meat is just spreading bacteria contaminating the surfaces of the kitchen. Besides, it’s the internal temperature that will kill all bacteria. Just no need. Our chickens are bred and handled in much higher standards compared to the US..
@@jamesdelatour2266 yes you do. I worked in a poultry plant and even if chicken is dropped on the floor it's still used.
As an Indian watching videos of foreigners who don't use spices and condiments gets me blahaaaaaaa
As a white person I can say we are not all like her. I season my food

make a butter an seasoning mix and work it under the skin all over cook at 200 until done
Yummy
She got the halal bird 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
I do the same.....good video!!!
Ditch the carrots and celery. Replace them with lemon and a Fuji or ambrosia apple.
Slice into the breast, it's overcooked, and if not, the dark meat is undercooked.
The best way to roast a turkey is by spatchcocking it, then dry brine for at least two hours or longer.
The other great way to roast a turkey is the Adam Ragusea method (my personal favorite).
You need to wash it and marinade in order to kill bacteria also......
No, you need to cook the meat to the proper internal temperature. THAT is what kills bacteria.
Heat kills bacteria, how can you not know it? even special need kids learn this at school. What kid of backwards country do you live where they don't teach germ theory.
Don't use plastic floss!
Turkey got some minty fresh ankles
Can you Wash it. 🤔

Hmm mixing mint floss on skinless turkey is like brushing the teeth of a dead animal 😂
We advise removing *ALL PLASTIC* from food preparation-cutting boards, spatulas,
containers, plastic wrap...floss too.
I've been using sage, Lemon, Dill, onion, garlic, ginger, with carrots underneath. I'm not going back
I actually at this age today learned I could use floss to tie the legs together. Who knew?
Not everybody likes turkey unfortunately lol
Abla bak tatı mükemmel *haram değil* kesinlikle mükemmel bir yiyecek *_zararlı değil_* 😋😊

If you're cooking a whole bone in Turkey it's wise to soak it underwater in a container overnight in the fridge. I don't personally eat it but I've prepared and cooked it for others who always remark on its moisture. There you go.
Minty fresh
This is how ya know the difference from home cooks ta chefs..
Them "nasty things like neck, giblets, heart, liver an so on"
Those are the "dirt "and tones of flavor .
U could chop and add ta gravy with egg or u cld precook and put it all in a processor and add ta ya seasoned butter for the turkey for under the skin.. ..
Folks wld love tons of things .. if their mind wasn't so judgmental
Well here gibblets sell for more than actual meat...cause here it is kind of delicacy for those who loves it...and there are many 😂
That's so interesting!
The giblets are the best part you know chef
Man even turkeys are getting their cavitys filled.
How’d you get so many views and likes on this?! You didn’t have to put effort in it and when I make CZcams vids of gaming and guitar I get way less views! Seems to me this turkey is better at vids than me.
😋
🙌💛
I don't understand why people think make it a turkey is hard it's like the easiest thing to cook and I don't brine mine at all like people think I put some seasoning and you know some butter of course and it came out like totally tender delicious perfect nice brown skin I just don't know why people go through so much work I guess it could taste better than just the turkey does normally
Jadi inget mr.bean yg masak kalkun 😁
Sounds good but I would season it with more then just salt and pepper lmao
Oh if you read the riding it says that it is halal.🤩
Put the herbs in first so they don't get burnt and add your onions and stuff
SEPARATE THE SKIN FROM THE FLESH AND RUB IN BETWEEN WITH BUTTER AND TONS OF SEASONINGS!!!! AND PACK A FEW SLICES OF CITRUS IN THERE!! sorry, I'm not yelling, but i just dont understand why people dont do this. Youre turkey will be dty as anything if you dont cut through the proteins with great flavor!
15 or 50 minutes???
I have been burned out on turkey and chicken for a few years now lol
Salt and pepper? No where is all the other seasoning ls? Even Miss Dash she has no salt in here stuff.
Ify you don't need 45 seasoning to create flavor
did she clean it??
aproved by turkey (the country)
Pumpkin spice floss
Ms girl clean the chicken
It is easy just nerve racking because you are afraid you won’t be on time or the turkey will be hard.
you can use the neck to make pretty good damn broth. throwing it away seems so wasteful to me, especially because in my house we always make broth on the turkey necks (and the neck meat is actually very good too)
Necks the best part!!
No turkey stuffing ? 😢
No i can't let this happen more! I'm going back in time to the first Thanksgiving to get turkeys of the menu that's right I'm going back in time to the first Thanksgiving to get turkeys of the menu
