Hi Zohair, I felt very bad that you could not attend U of T despite getting admission and winning scholarship because of the unaffordable costs, but seeing your videos I realise that it's U of T's loss to lose such an excellent person like you. I'm 45 years old and an IIM grad and I've seen really successful people in my life and I can predict that you are definitely going to be one of them. Driven and tenacious. You don't need luck, I know you are going to make it. Ofcourse I think you should take a gap year and try again to the top Universities with your learnings from your social media businesses and new life experiences. I think top Uni admissions would really see the deserving candidate that you are. Keep us posted.

    Hey Zohair,
Thanks for being there for the world. Your story is an inspiration to all of us out there, those of us who've listened and understood your journey. Alhamdullilah for your work, Zohair, you've gone above and beyond for a student your age. You're personality, kindness, diligence and tenacity is what I think many universities lack in their communities and wherever you eventually go, they'll be lucky to have you. All the very best, and prayers coming your way-- for both you and the family.
    الله معك 🙂

This is very well said about the 100% Lester Pearson Scholarship for international students. My daughter is just in grade 11 but as early as now we're trying to search different university offering full scholarship. University of Toronto is her top choice for aerospace engineering but listening to your experiences, we feel so sad about the less chance of making it since we have the same financial situation.

For students using common application as your school counselor to tick the fall under USFDA eligibility and you'll get fee waiver at all university you apply, I just used this option and without my counselor verifying it they still gave me full application fee waiver.

    Hello,
I have been accepted into University of Toronto as an Int'l student. Estimated cost of attendance is $75k - 80k CAD. Received my offer letter.
I want to get an International Scholars award, and I know there is no separate application (I should be considered automatically). But when could I receive this scholarship result? shouldn't it be along with my acceptance letter?
I know you got this award so you may guide me on approximately when you got your acceptance letter and int'l scholar award (I could compare and have an idea).
    Many Thanks.
    Syed

Is it worth doing an undergrad degree from a medium scale university? Like if I spend 4 years in doing an undergrad degree from an affordable university, will it give me a good package and return on investment and time?

    • @ZohairAnsari
      @ZohairAnsari  Před 3 lety +2

      You're WELCOME :)
If you ask my take on this, I think today you don't even need to go to a college if you want to get into any technical career because everything is SKILL BASED now and employers aren't giving importance to your DEGREES instead they are looking for skilled employees.
But if you are deciding to go in Medical or any other Non-technical field, it's good to attend a college and get hands-on experience.
People who hire generally look for skilled people, so yea I believe if you develop your skills while being in a medium scale university, you CAN get a very good package and return on investment. 👍

Can you predict if i will be able to make it with my Grade 11 grades (wanna apply for lice science) : Math 8, physics 9, chemistry 9, English 10, Biology 7 (average 8.6). And also i don't have any interesting extracurricular, pls i need help so I can decide rather apply or not

      Thanks for your query 🙂
Though I would suggest you to apply in both of them, but if you are going to apply to one. I think you should apply to U of T as there are 37 spots and UBC's full scholarship is more competitive than U of T's full scholarship (do correct me if I am wrong).
Also, extracurriculars are very very important for getting full scholarships, so I would suggest you to start engaging in some strong, impactful extracurriculars 👍
