You are absolutely right about the grass in Mississippi. After you cut it, you have maybe 2 days before it starts to look wooly bully.
y'all are such hard workers! i'm sure that your friends won't care if you house is finished being washed. they are going to be there for the fun times.
The meet up is going to be awesome , enjoy ! Its all OK breath ,it not easy to be a host at home for a big gathering . ✌❤👍😉
Smart to watch for those Copperheads. Cool video of hard work keeping up with your farm.
Looking good guys. I believe I would record the next fridge delivery. Just incase.
Ha ha true !

🙌🏼
Understand grass and weeds getting out control quick ….rain has put me behind about 10 days not being able mow areas because too wet… 8 hours on mower and tractor today …about same tomorrow, then spray fence lines Thursday…maybe back even by weekend to do it again end next week …when it rains MS grass Grows. Time and work ..Get-er-done
💯
That to-do list wore me out, just listening to it! Reminds me of my to-do list!
These lists can be overwhelming 😂
The Sun doesn't have Humidity Mike, so it's hotter down here. 🤣 Grass and weeds in the south - not there yesterday - but here they are today.🙃😉 Ya'll need to get some snake guards if ya going to be in that tall grass and weeds. A few Nope-ropes down here won't scatter. Rule #1.
I took an area on my place big enough to put all my tools and supplies, took off the top soil then added rock. In that are I keep everything killed. Call it my staging area. Put up versa tube lean to shed (aka loafing shed). Keeps my stuff out of the grass etc
Mike and Frankie work their Cabooooya Off Get It Guys 💪🏽👍🏾💎
Yep! Syd! Here in northern ohio we had much rain this spring and some people trying get a garden in was challenge, many people planting this year! Tomatoes, blueberry are just nuts in prices, mom said 2 tomatoes at wally world is 2.37! Great video guys.
So true ! Thank you 🙏
@DANDY1 down here in south MS I just paid $2/lb for tomatoes. Too hot to cook! Tomato sandwich for lunch and maybe supper too. Lol
@kayparks8382 YES, that southern humidity! Yep there was many people out purchasing mother day flowers! And grabbing those friut and veggie plant this year! (Strait gate greenhouse) cherry tomatoes good snacks! God bless.
You know I do not live very far from you at Grenada Lake and I get the lake effect with the humidity.
Sometimes I feel like I need gills to breathe. Just a couple of days ago it was 96° with 100% humidity. It feels like it was 110°that day and not a cloud in the sky.
Oh yikes 😬 gills are not a bad idea ! 😂
Plant some okra for fall. Nothing as good as fried okra!!!!!!!!
Wow! That is a lot to accomplish in the heat! Thankfully I got all my chores done by 8:30am today! Now I am watching you guys slaving out in the heat! We are in triple digits here in Tucson… but it is a dry heat, which means I have to top off my water features and birdbaths twice a day!
U must be one superwoman!❤ I admire you🎉
Ha ha I don’t know about that but thank you ☺️
Get you at least a 66 lbs ice machine
Y'all got Boots On The Ground Running🎉. God Speed😊💜
💯!
Great video guys. Up north people worry about snow covering things left outside. Down south its grass and weeds. When grass grows 9 inches a day in spring its hard to keep up. 😂😂
So true !
I'm Happy you're Feeling better with your Back Syd you're working your Cabooooya Off & look Good doing It❤💎👍🏾

Thank you so much 😊
keep on working people
Your daughter is a hard worker
You'll have to make Freedom Weekend into Framly Work Weekend. That would get everything caught up.
Ha ha true !
That’s what happens when you don’t pick up after yourself when you’re working. I was always trained to clean up before you left a job site. I guess that’s the difference between manual labor people and people working behind a desk. At some point, you will get tired of doing double work and do it right the first time.
😂🍺🎣🤪
Mike works a desk job now but for years he was working on construction site hands-on manual labor. Not to mention his stint in the Navy . This man’s not afraid to get his hands dirty and work hard but he and I both had injuries that us back in getting this garden taken care of. This man grew up off grid building his house as he lived on the land and spent time working and living on a cattle ranch where he lived in a tent essentially. He’s used to being uncomfortable and off grid before it was trendy and the cool thing to do. If you are not familiar with how quickly Mississippi grass can grow you can literally sit and watch it. It explodes overnight by the time you finish mowing your whole yard if you have a few acres, it’s time to start at the other corner kind of like painting the Golden Gate Bridge. Was literally mid project installing drip lines and putting the post in the fence when everything kind of happened..
You are a little rude don’t you think.
Bruuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhh, that heat sucks. Almost makes you question the sanity of spicy boiled peanuts... Almost.
If they cracked the whip on a drop off they knew it was damaged prior and wanted to get out of there before you saw it. Shady BS right there. Bad Home Depot, bad bad bad.
That was my thought too but home depot uses a separate company that they contract out for delivery….so who knows 🤷🏻♀️
@@3MISSISSIPPI I learned quick working warehouses for 10 years.
Lets pick up this pile of junk I left last time and move over here and make a new pile of junk. hahahaha
Not quite … those are prices for different projects …
Whew! I'm hot and tired just watching 🥵.... Grrrrr I would be very angry with Home Depot 😡.. Finger crossed that they actually make it right with you 🤞❤️❤️
Fighting with them again today 🙃 they still haven’t contacted for pickup
why didnt you just bush hog all that down first ?????
chigger bit is more likely
True but luckily we don’t have too bad unless you get back in the woods or creek .
I'm glad for you--one of the worst chigger episodes I ever had was from grass like this--but, it was later in the season and I'm just unlucky anyway! BTW, love your channel!@@3MISSISSIPPI
@user-dt9md9gt8d yikes ! And thank you 🙏
Still waiting to see what free horse is good for?
You must not be an animal person and definitely not a horse person… we are very grateful to have Beulah and to be able to give her a good home. We work with her every day and enjoy spending time with her. But we aren’t Amish so we don’t exactly hook her up to a plow…..
Rude
Get a lawyer
You making me tired listening to you ✌️ God bless
😂 no joke !
Please don't get mad but I would like to know how and why your garden turned to crap. Seems like to me that you guys may not really be serious about farming! I don't even have a tractor but I maintain my garden which is about the same size. A garden requires daily attention!
Let me explain again what happened. Mike started all his seeds and had everything ready to go. He had tarped the rows to kill the cover crop that he had put down in the interim and had removed that and was ready to start adding more dirt and plant. Then we had a series of really bad storms and then Mike had an injury that prevented him from being able to get all of his starts into the ground. He also works a full-time job as well as having to deal with a few other issues that arose on the farm during that time. Since we have owned property together this is the first year that he has not gotten his plants in the ground on time. We have always had as big garden as we were able to and continue to grow it year after year this year we simply got a late start due to some forces outside of our control and an injury that we did not count on. It happens to the best of us sometimes we can’t control things, and we just have to kind of roll with the punches. This is one of those instances where everything was ready to go. Everything was on time and on schedule but mother nature and his body had other ideas. We take what we do very seriously and we spend hours and hours a day, working on it thinking about it planning it and filming it but nobody’s perfect and there’s only so many hours in a day. I hope that clear some of that up for you. We could’ve hidden it on the CZcams channel and chose not to show it, but we decided that we wanted to show that things happen. You can have setbacks farming, and homesteading is not perfect and sometimes you have to adapt and overcome.
@@3MISSISSIPPIand the goat incident.
@migueldelacruz4799 oh yes that too … after the first round of planting and the goat getting out and decimating it twice he wanted to hold off planting everything else until we figured out where he was getting out from and how we were going to solve that problem and it took us a little while to discover where he was getting out from
You guys accomplish so much, I don’t think some people don’t watch your vids still going to have a great garden, can up so much food, and fill up freezer cam. I want to come to your house when the apocalypse happens. Great job 3 Mississippi
You are very rude as well.
Wow! The trolls have crawled out from the perfectly groomed bridges they live under! 🤦♀️🫨🤔 It just amazes me how rude some people can be. Can't fix stupid! Why do they even watch what they apparently don't even like? 🤯 You are all doing an amazing job! 💯🥰✌️
It’s part of the gig of CZcams 😂 like water of a ducks back 🤷🏻♀️🙃
