    I could not agree more!!! I am an audiometrist in Australia, and I get so frustrated with other hearing care professionals that tell customer that one program is all you ever need. It's so untrue, no matter what you spend. Programs give you control over what is going on in your ears!! It's so important to give your clients the option of this.

    The Restaurant mode is more useful than the Focus mode in that the Restaurant mode can also be turned into the Focus mode.

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  Před 11 měsíci +2

      So the restaurant mode speech focus zone can be set to narrow, similar to the front focus mode but they are different. The microphones and directionally algorithms working behind the scenes are definitely more front focused in the front focus mode. They may seem the same but they are not.

    Thank you Brian...my Costco tells me; we only have 3 programs, All-Around, Hear in Noise and Music. But sadly, the only one I could use; is the All-Around. But even there it, causes "squeegees" all the time...Unless, I take the volume all the way to number 1!
    I am so sorry, but that's what I have. My Hearing Aid is the "Jabra pro 20". And, I'm very against it now. And thinking about taking it back. And trying, the latest "Phillips 9040". That you bragged about recently.
    But, if it's worse than the Jabra; Costco will NOT give me the Jabra back,. And I think that's criminal. Damn them! But, I love your videos kind Sir. For you are the best! Now...
    I have a medical "Hyperacusis" that some old people! So, there may be NO way, I can get it right. Oh well. May Jesus have mercy...and thank you again Brian. AMEN

      My pleasure sir. Keep this in mind. Then hearing aids will NEVER return your hearing 100%. It won't sound perfectly natural. There will be weird noises and sometimes tinny or hollow sound, some high pitch sounds will be annoying. This is all normal with hearing aids. Sometimes we can make adjustments to help take the edge off but it's not just the jabras, they all do this. Good brands bad brands. It's going to be weird. You have to get used to it and keep wearing it. Some people just can't wear hearing aids. Some people can. Good luxk

    Regarding the Easyline app, when I make adjustments to a setting, restaurant for example, and then save it, does that create an additional setting or does it modify the "factory" restaurant setting?

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  Před 11 měsíci +1

      it depends. Sometimes it lets you just "Update" the existing program but sometimes it requires you to make a new "custom" program. But the nice thing is, once you make a new custom program, which you should, anytime you make additional changes, you will then have the option to "update" that custom program without having to create a whole new one.

    My hearing specialist at Costco in Concord, Ca said that my Jabra does not have restaurant or any other program on the app. She said that the all-around which will do the adjustment automatically. Did she give me an old hearing aid? Is she correct?

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Oh my lord. That is not correct. All Rx hearing aids have programs. They must be added by your fitter. Programs have been around for YEARS. even if it was an older jabra, it would still have programs!

Got the 20s last week and other than teething problems (feedback and “crackling” on sounds like running water) - which I’ll address at follow up - I like them so far. Will add your customized sound cone idea too. But knowing more about the app would be great…I’m kinda confused about the “Noise Reduction” option in the Sound Enhancer…what does it actually do? Cheers!

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Well that's a really awkward situation and I would ask for someone else that is willing to listen to you. Half the battle with hearing aids is finding someone that will actually listen to you wants and needs. Not everyone does that. Just like a doctor. When you have a doctor that doesn't listen to you and you get that feeling that its not the right fit, you find a different doctor.

      No there’s no extra charge if you get extra programs or download the app. No charge when you go to Costco to get services done such as follow ups, adjustments, clean & check or hearing test/retest. Only paying for hearing aids and accessories and out of warranty repairs.
