I’ve used the Jabra EP20 for about three months now. The technology is amazing. The price at Costco was very good. Both aids for $1300 Canadian. I’m using both the new tv steamer + and the multi mic. Both work great. Streaming from my iPhone works well. Both telephone calls and streaming music or podcasts. I’ve been wearing hearing aids for about 40 years and like I said, these aids are the best I’ve ever had.

Mathew I am a costco customer. The first ones I bought was the KS10s. And thank goodness for the 6 month trial. Because I was having troubles with those. It started in my 4th month. Then the Jabra 10s came out and my H.I.S changed me to those. And I have enjoyed them. The are very good. So if it was not for the 6 month trial I would have still had a lot of troubles with the ks10s.

Kind of. If I had decided not to continue with costco. The would have gave a full refund. But in my experience with costco hearing. They do really try to correct any problems. And another plus to the is all supplies are furnished dome and traps as long as you own the hearing aids purchased.

The KS10s are a special case. Costco dropped them because of many failures. Mine took 2 years to show up. Costco sent mine back to the manufacturer for repair. I now have them back and they work well. Costco really stands by what they sell.

  • @thenash4822

I have been wearing the Jabra Enhanced Pro 20's for about two months. While all the features and the app are pretty good, the sound quality during audio streaming and phone calls is significantly worse than my KS-9s. They initially sounded tinny as my AM radio earphone from the 1950's. The Costco technician increased the bass, which helped some, however the distortion is terrible, both before and after the bass was adjusted. I was looking forward to the LE audio and Auracast, but the benefit of this is lost if the audio streaming sounds as poor as these do. I have closed dome tips due to my hearing loss, which I would think would actually help them sound better. They are connected to my iPhone 15 Pro. The odd thing is they sound great if you are listening to music or podcasts directly and not through the hearing aids. You also have to have the tech specifically add a program with the correct options to get the variable front focus setting in the app to work correctly. I'm going to have to look at other options, these are not good sounding hearing aids, even though they have great features.

I have Jabra Enhance Pro 20. And returning to Costco tomorrow after 5 months. Left ear has a static sound since day one. Tried all domes and had it adjusted 3 times. Not to bad if I have it set too filter sounds. Yesterday Costco blamed it on not using a dryer even though it started on day one and it wasn’t raining. I was going to try custom ear molds but I don’t think this Costco really wants to spend time or effort to improve the experience.

I tried the Jabra and returned them because the bluetooth aspect was a fail (Pixel 8 bluetooth connectivity and streaming was too fragile, streaming audio quality seemed quite lackluster compared to my old Costco KS9, and LE Audio gave me desynchronized streams to the ears). So I'm looking forward to the Philips 9050 ... do you have any experience comparing the Jabra to the Oticon Intent?

    • @user-oy4qp9pq6i
      @user-oy4qp9pq6i Před 25 dny

I have the Philips 9030. The Bluetooth has been reasonably reliable. The Philips was prescribed because it had enough programmable bands to accommodate a very sharp drop off at a particular frequency. I believe it had 25 programmable bands.

I wear the Jabra Enhance Pro 10s and wondering if an upgrade would be worthwhile. I am very frustrated with hearing in noise, despite numerous adjustments at Costco, etc. I had to abandon the M&RIE receivers due to feedback and fit. Anyone have thoughts about the 10s vs the 20s?

    • @HearingTracker

I was excited about getting the Jabra Pro 20’s, but I just returned them after 4 mos. They had a Tinny sound and the right ear volume was always too low. Costco Tech could not resolve it. I do a lot if streaming and didn’t at first notice I wasn’t picking up anything but the streaming. I brought them in and they fixed the sound and told me my daily cleanings weren’t adequate on the microphone holes. Two days later the sound was almost gone again no matter how well I cleaned the holes. My faith in Jabra is gone, I’m now waiting for the 9050’s.

Great video. I am a first-time hearing aid user with the EP20s with a Galaxy S23 Ultra phone since January 2024. I had to send them back for a replacement after working with second tier support over blue tooth connectivity issues. The new pair exhibits slightly different connectivity issues (primarily with the left ear, but it is still enough of a reliability problem to render them unusable with my phone or a streaming device. I get enough different comments from other users and even Jabra support personnel, that I believe they know they haven't nailed down the root causes of the problem and that there are a good number of compatible S23 and S24 phones that are having similar issues. The last support person was blaming the small size and hence the small Bluetooth antenna (probably not true). I will be calling support again in the next few days to see if there are any updates on the problem and to request a replacement set. If they can't get the issue resolved, I may be using that 6-month warranty. Otherwise, they appear to be a great value.

@@HearingTracker I have not been overly satisfied with the adjustments they make. they can't seem to get it right. They were fine for the first few months I had them, but the left one started to "act up." It would not amplify sound, but the bluetooth feature would work. So they sent me another pair. A refurbished pair. I wasn't thrilled to not get a new pair. They never worked as good as the first pair did in the beginning. The left one is not amplifying as well as the old one did. If I take them to a local audiologist, according to Jabra, they can no longer be adjusted through Jabra. I paid for them to be able to be adjusted at no extra charge. If I take them to be adjusted locally, it will most certainly come at a cost. I think Costco will be my next place I use. Not sure if that is the best way to go though.

Hey Don, I don’t find it a negative, just overkill. As I said if I have a patient that’s still struggling with their tech 4-6 weeks (sometimes sooner) after I’ve fitted them I would be looking at alternative tech. Never mind 6 months…!

I've watched a lot of videos on Jabra hearing aids. But one thing I still don't understand is the difference between the resound nexia and the Jabra pro 20's. I have a hard time believing these are identical given the difference in price. It feels like the Jabra technology is from resound but made with less quality components. Who would know if this is correct?

Finally the app is everything as advertised, it’s very impressive! I’ve had my first adjustment for ‘clarity’ yesterday, fine tuning. Also got fitted for custom molds-want to test which works best for me as I really liked the Signia’s ease of slipping in and staying without needing to fuss with fit.

I am due for new aids and I don't want to buy an iPhone in order to continue to be able to stream phone calls on android. Android is slow when it comes to tech with LE Bluetooth and costco is no longer selling the phonaks with classic Bluetooth which work well with android, so now i will have to shop somewhere else and pay more for aids or learn how to deal with iPhone.

Wow. So much bad information it’s hard to know where to start.
Costco dosnt sell many different types of over the counter hearing aids. They sell ONE. And its sales are dismal.
You did mention the feedback issue, but you buried it in your video. The jabra are horrible for high frequency loss due to feedback.
Philips is better for high frequency loss, more user friendly, and has far superior customer service. Jabra customer service is mediocre at best.
