Watch to discover all the new innovations WS Audiology made. I had a chance to try this hearing aid out myself and it JUST MAY be the best sounding hearing aid i've ever heard.

    I am one of the ones that complained that the Rexton BiCore were absolute horrible, the sound amplification for EVERYTHING around me was terrible, I was not able to understand group conversations, restaurants or God forbid outdoors. I sincerely hate those.
    I then found the Signia Charge & Go 7-IX, and OMG…. what a difference! The Signia 7-IX are simply the best, it resolved all of the issues I experienced with the Rexton and beyond.
    I am very happy to hear the Reach are the same as the 7-IX, and if true…..let me tell you, they will then be considered the best just as the 7-IX.
    The one thing that you haven’t mentioned which is big for me, is that the Signia 7-IX gives you the opportunity to answer phone calls and talk without having to have the cellphone right by your mouth; I can now answer calls and have the cellphone elsewhere.
    I hope that all the new Reach user have the same very happy experience I have with the Signia 7-IX.

    Hello sir, I am so happy you made this channel! I can't believe I haven't come across this channel sooner. I am a HAD apprentice at Costco, I started back in Feb 2024. When I found out that you work at Costco I subscribed right away. The content you shared in this video was very informative and I'm so excited to go through all of your videos. I just finished the "BEST iPhone FEATURE" video.
    Thank you for taking your time to create this amazing channel. I really appreciate it, it's really helpful. I feel like I have just found a gold mine.
    P.S. if you have any general advice for a HAD apprentice please share.

    Great review! I’ve fit close to 70% of my members with the BICORE and fortunately did not have the same issues you spoke of-only a handful. I absolutely love how great the Reach sounds compared to our other products. Add that with great battery life and much smaller travel charger, and it’s just a no brainer for the majority of my members.
    One aspect I think gets over looked by a lot of AUDs and HIS’ is the dome system. It is hands down the best for controlling the acoustics in the ear. The sleeve domes are the closest to a mold as you can get and are often times more comfortable. I wish Jabra and Philips had similar domes as most canals are not round, but oval shaped which the sleeve dome mimics very well.
    Love the Cliff Olsen remark by the way 😂

    Great Vids Brian. 👍 First one that has spoken out about the issues with the Bicores. Mine are about 2 months old and I’ve been back about 4 times including a warranty repair that was moot as issues still remain. Biggest one is volume drop of about 30% in either one or the other. Switching off/on does not always reset as it may still have residual power. Back into the charger fixes it. This drop occurs at least once a week. I’m returning them at the end of month for refund. But I’m still undecided on Reach, Jabra or even the Philips. Sure they have a bigger form factor but do most things pretty well. Thoughts?

    I bought mine about a 2 month ago, I called cosco asking about the new reach because I was having issues with the ones I bought ,and they said that maybe I just needed to get them programmed again that this new reach haven’t been in the market that long that ,all hearing aids have the same issues that if I changed them and didn’t like them I couldn’t not go back to the bicore because they are getting ready to discontinue.

So after peeling myself off rhe ceiling I went about the process of getting the screen replaced. Wouldn't you know it but right after the screen was replaced the Bluetooth started to work much better. Perhaps the old screen was interfering with the Bluetooth radios or somesuch? Today I've had no dropouts or anything. They just worked.

    Hey, I did buy those 9040s on eBay for $300. My Costco told me the warranty was no good since they had been replaced as “lost”. I called Philips and several told me the same thing until I got a sympathetic ear. I went to another Costco and they went the extra mile for me to verify that the “lost” pair are also covered as well. Gotta be persistent and not listen to BS and read the fine print for yourself. Thanks, Brian.

    6 months with the Jabras and I love them. Fantastic sound, zero phone or streaming issues and great battery life. Really great word recognition. When is Costco going to sell the streamer plus for auracast?
    My Rexton Trax 42s took over 30 trips (80 miles round trip ) to Costco and a call to the head audiologist at Rexton to get programed. They had hardware bugs that weren't compatible with the firmware causing programing to change on its own like you were experiencing. That's why I wouldn't touch Rextons again.

    I received my Rexton Reach almost a week ago from our local Costco. Day and night compared with the previous Serene I had for 6 weeks. I love those Reach ❤
    But I had a glitch today, listening an Audible book: the sound would cut in one ear for a second or 2, then come back. After a few seconds or 1/2 minutes, it would cut again in the same ear or the other. I don't think that it's the same Bluetooth disconnect that affected the previous Rexton, I never had to reconnect the hearing aids with my iPhone since day one. Have you seen this glitch?
    I still love these HA and how they perform inside and outside

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  Před měsícem +1

      Great question! This is something that seems to happen with most hearing aids. My Jabra’s do the same thing sometimes. I noticed that I could have the cheapest set of wireless Bluetooth earbuds and take them to the gym, listening to podcasts, music and they never once do this. I have a great connection, 100% of the time. But with my $1,600 Jabra hearing aids and pretty much all the hearing aids I test and try, the random 1 second cut offs happen, the same way you explain it. I don’t know why.

Also they didn't know if the Rextons would ever have AuraCast I told her if they had LE they would certainly have AuraCast soon as a firmware update. I'll switch to Rexton as soon as they get them, six months to do so. Tried to get the AuraCast transmitter for my TV and was told they don't have them. But you said they do? I have the Rexton Reaches, and the bluetooth connectivity is rock solid with my Pixel 8. I returned the Jabra Enhance Pro 20s because the bluetooth connectivity was so bad. To me the sound quality and the MyVoice feature of the Reaches are superior to the Jabras. (I previously wore Signia 7X) I exchanged just under the six month time. Costco was very accommodating. Still does not fix my understanding of voice in noise, but no hearing aid has been able to do that for me.

    I purchased the Rexton Bi-Core hearing aids from Costco about 1.5 years ago. I can’t seem to get balanced sounds. The sound seems good for a little while after getting adjusted but ends up like I lost the my personal hearing settings that was set. Would Costco accept a return of my old 1.5 year old model and I upgrade to the Rexton Reach? I feel the bi-core Costco hearing aids could be good if programmed correctly. @LiveLifeHonestly Před 2 měsíci

      I’ll probably upgrade so I can hear various voices in groups. The Bi-Cores seems to be losing the setting that the Costco tech set me at. I somehow can mainly hear amplified high pitches and very soft mids and lows which I am able to hear. The closed domes may be blocking out the mids and lows from the outside surroundings. I would suggest if the mids and lows can also be amplified as well when closed domes are installed. What are your thoughts on this? Thank you for making these Rexton hearing aid videos.

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  Před 2 měsíci

      I would say it depends. When someone brings in their aids that need to be repaired, we know our patients really well and the folks that have severe to profound losses are usually offered loaners because we know they can’t be without their aids. For other folks that can still get by, we don’t proactively offer loaners but if they ask, we will provide them IF we have available loaners. We like to save them for folks that really need them.

    Question for you... this past week I was turned down for purchasing hearing aids because my left ear hearing was profoundly bad. I practically begged to be able to buy (Rexton Reach) and was told they cannot sell them to me. Is this normal and is this the practice at every Costco?

      Well I have to assume there’s more to the story. There are some red flags that require a medical referral to an actual doctor before we can sell you hearing aids. Hello, You mentioned that you can pair the Rexton hearing aids simultaneously together on a iPad and iPhone. I can’t find how to do this. I have the Bi-Cors and have the Rexton App on both devises. I am constantly switching from one to another. If Bluetooth is on in both devices, my hearing aids keep cutting out and losing left or right signals. How can I sync both devices together? Thank you

      I also wondered about that because that ability is not mentioned anywhere in either Rexton or Signia documentation. Could it be the device that his friend is using (IPad) that is able to facilitate the pairing and not his hearing aides. Not that I understand Bluetooth much myself. It would be very neat to get Rextons to pair to two devices simultaneously.

That I have to either turn off one of the devices completely or turn off Bluetooth on the other device. Pretty much only one device at a time. Definitely frustrating.

This is going to take more time to get used to and I was having some upset stomach symptom the first couple of days that I hope is temporary. I have them paired with my iPhone and am learning the Rexton app and different programs the tech installed. I love the iPhone feature where Siri reads text and calendar notices to me. Streamed content and music sounds strange to me and not real happy with that.
