      B is Bust ( chest ), if you want to make a jacket for a man whose bust measurement is 94 cm, for pattern you only need half of the measurement of bust, it is 47 cm, 47 cm is B, B/3 means 47 cm divided by 3 , it is 15.6 cm, B/6 means 47 cm divided by 6, it is 7.8 cm, B/8 means 47 cm divided by 8, it is 5.87 cm.

    While taking the chest measurement, is the tape attached to the body, or do we leave some centimeters for comfort? Greetings

    • @silviochan89
      @silviochan89  Před 11 měsíci +2

      No need to add some extra, take the exactly body measurement for drafting, after finish the drafting, you will find the pattern is already some add some ease for comfortably, that means the pattern is bigger than the body measurement

    I am making this jacket for a man who is much taller (185cm) and larger (B=110, W=107, H=112) do I need to make any changes? Also how do I determine back length, how do I measure this?

    • @silviochan89
      @silviochan89  Před rokem +3

      This method of drafting is suitable for larger size ,and regarding the jacket length, it is a style , varies for fashion, classic jacket back length is about covering the butt

    但係陳師傅點解用胸圍用標準, 假如我有鍛鍊身體個胸大好多,咁再用來做頸線嘅標準咪差好遠?

    • @silviochan89
      @silviochan89  Před rokem +2

      是的,這個畫法適合一般身型,做健身胸特別發達,肩特別斜,不是太適合,fitting時修改的地方比較多,特別是肩斜。其實用胸圍作標準是國際慣例,很多國家都這樣畫。

    Chest = B/3 plus 7. What does B/3 stand for?

    • @silviochan89
      @silviochan89  Před rokem +1

      if you make a jacket for a man whose chest ( body measurement ) is 94 cm, on the pattern we only need half of the body measurement 94/2 = 47 cm. B is Bust ( chest ) , B/3 is 47/3, it is 15.7 cm. B/3 plus 7 =15.7 + 7 , it is 22.7 cm

    • @silviochan89
      @silviochan89  Před rokem +1

      If your garment measurement of chest is 94 cm, on the pattern is half measurement of garment measurement, so it is 47 cm, B /3 is 47/3 = 15.6 cm
